Never flown with Singopre Airlines before but did once manage to spotting the Singapore A350 took off from Jakarta and i already upload the video in my channel. My favorite aircraft in Singapore Airlines fleet is the A380, 777, and the 747-400F

In terms of “best airline” category, SIA s u c ks. I’ve flown my very first SIA flight LHR-SIN last April2023 round trip, and just last Friday (return flight this 4th Feb-this trip was already booked since Feb.2023, again LHR-SIN), and yes they’re much better than the budget airlines but against the Gulf-based airlines like Emirates and Qatar, Singapore Airlines is left in the dust.
SIA only gives you meals 2x for the entire 13-hour a380 flight. In contrast, Emirates for example, will feed you 4x on a LHR-DXB flight.
The SIA cabin crew isn’t as hospitable as advertised and will ignore you for most of the time (despite ringing the call button and patiently waiting) until you just have to stand up and go to the galley, ask for water or KitKat/Coke and you’ll see some 5-6 cabin crew chatting/laughing.
This already happened on my April2023 flight, and last Friday (12 Jan) flight, hence safe to say they do this often.
Also, they’ll never give you the Coke can-Emirates will keep giving you the entire Coke can if you ask.
I don’t demand much, but their service is comparable actually with Scoot-it’s like they have the same set of cabin crew but on different uniforms. The only difference is Scoot has basic seats while you get a more comfortable Recaro seats on the SIA.
All in all, if you’re in the part of the world that has awful budget airlines to choose from, and SIA is an option-definitely go for SIA.
Otherwise if you’re in the UK 🇬🇧 and have other airlines to choose (I’d go for Emirates after this) then go for the other established best ones.

Great trip report Dj! Your allergy is serious but trying to keep you off the airplane doesn’t make sense. Please keep them coming!

    One of my favourite airlines
    I have flow on their: A310s, B747-400s, B777-200ERs, A340-300s, A330-300s, B777-300ERs, A350-900s, and B787-10. Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to try their A380-800s yet.

Due to Airbus A380 wide-body design, many airlines including SQ, have better seat width and seat pitch installed in their A380 fleets, as they have more floor space available to be utilised, which increases passengers' comfort and enhances the luxury of air travel. The full double decker design of the A380 also adds to this luxury feels, as it could be considered the iconic of human ingenuity in the sky. A historic hallmark indeed!

Singapore have a great modern fleet, not sure though that you can refer to the 737 MAX as reliable ?.

Singapore Airlines has all 3 variants of the 787, however the 787-8 and 787-9 are operated by its subsidiary Scoot.

Hi, good morning!. If you could say goodbye to the 747-F freighters to make way for the Airbus A350F, that would be a good idea, but they would only start in 2025, because the first unit to be delivered is very short, so for the new ones and let's say the 777s to be withdrawn from circulation, so the airlines will have a modern fleet.

A couple of airlines you might consider looking at for something a little different would be Ethiopian, who are a powerhouse in Africa, and LATAM, with not quite as much dominance in South America but including interesting trans-Pacific routes.

The A380 and A350 of Singapore Airlines are so comfy and quiet, the 787 are ok. But avoid the 777 they are so noisy, you can't sleep without earplugs.

63 a350-900’s! No -1000’s. I suppose their 777’s currently serve as the largest twin jet. Looking forward to seeing/experiencing the 777-9X in Singapore colors with Singapore service. Too funny they fly the 737-max8. The small Boeing 737max seems like an odd fit.

Boeing will be gone soon in the airline industry because of safety concerns and plane crashes. Go for AIRBUS if you want PEACE OF MIND when you travel. AIRBUS has good reputation for safety and majority of Pilots prefer AIRBUS when flying.

What makes the 777 and 787 extremely unsafe?
