Hi Jocelyn. I just wanted to mention, there is another reseller I follow. She always picks up hardware in baggies. Knobs for cabinets, dressers, etc-and she says she always makes good money on them. Vintage or not-and in good condition, of course. They are SO expensive to buy new!
Love your videos! I have been shopping along with you for about a month now, and am absolutely addicted! I was in our local Canadian Value Villiage and found a signed cobalt Kosta Boda votive, and was pretty excited! Reminds me of thrifting with my Mom.... she was really into Nippon ware, Occupied Japan, and hens on the nest (she had about 200 of those)! At auctions, we knew the local auctioneers by name, and one of them would beg Mom to start the bidding, ended up with a lot of small boxes of excess stuff....but there usually was at least 1 gem in the box!! Love your new home, wish you Andrew and children all the best, hope you will post pictures when your new little girl arrives. Thanks so much for the entertainment, new knowledge, and refreshers of past knowledge. Take care of yourself, we all worry about you!
I just sold 2 of those La Fonda mugs on Ebay for 110 for both. They are 1940s Fred Harvey House Era and were all handmade for the cafe in the La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico for future reference. They don't show up very often, even here in New Mexico!

Jocelyn, I have to share with you that today, at a local estate sale...guess what I found!!!??? A GlassyBaby!!!!!! ❤️ The red JOY one!!! It still has it's label on the bottom too! I couldn't believe it!! I never even heard of them, until YOUR video when you were talking about them, but they were 'new news' to me because I'm mainly a buyer/seller of antique/vintage glass and all my research is just that! lol I left there with a bundled bag of treasures and even $3.50 in forever stamps and my 'total spend' there was $10.00 for all I got!! One milk glass planter I got will make me back my money-as one of my reg customers in my FB glass group buys them all, lol and the rest, including the GlassyBaby and a vintage gunstock piece that sells for $50.00...I have to say...what a great haul! Thank you for introducing me to GlassyBaby!! I told my BF today that it was thanks to you that I knew what it was!! So thank you!! ❤️

La Fonda Hotel is an upscale hotel in downtown Santa Fe, NM. I've never stayed there, but it is supposed to be pretty posh. It's also supposed to be haunted, but then so are most places here in NM. :) I lived in Santa Fe for 6 years and now live north of it.
Yes La Fonda mug would have been good I think. Anything Santa Fe is money. Remember the wedding vase you and Andrew found.

Isn't google lens great??!! I use it all the time to discover and identify an item. Sometimes it helps me identify a china mark and even translate a foreign mark or tag. When I am not thrifting I use it to identify a bird of a plant

Haha. I am a newby- found this really sweet 11 oz bowl at GW last week for 2.99. It had a scalloped edge and I thought for sure it was something. FOUND it on at amazon for $32.95 / PER DOZEN!! Ha- guess my taste is not great;
I so wish we had your GW prices here on the west coast. In Oregon you can just double or more what you pay to get our prices. Same for the other thrift stores. We have to really watch the 50% off colors each week.
We don't have different color days in Southern California and our prices are way too high..

That girl in blue and white with the flowered hat is a Lefton figugurine. I have one in pink, very much like it. Sad that it doesn't bring much, it's so sweet. That one looks like someone re-paonted the blue band around the hat, though. Too bad it was damaged!
