An important note you missed. A tree is not blocked by a shadow if the tree casting the shadow is smaller then it. Otherwise good 3 minute summary of the rules.
No, the rulebook states, that case, the shadow blocks the larger tree's earned points commensurate with the size of the tree. If a large tree is block by a small tree then only 2 sun points are earned. If blocked by a medium tree, only 1 sun point is earned.

@@neilr818 There are no advanced rules. This is all in the rule book which is issued with the game.
@@Leaky-bunghole There are definitely advanced rules for this game. Maybe you just have an earlier edition without them or something? Another advanced rule is playing a longer game with 4 sun rotations instead of 3. And yeah, these are official, not just some weird house rules that people made up.
My brother and I were playing our once-yearly game of Twilight Imperium yesterday and wishing we had Becca Scott to explain it to us. :P
You also get 1 score point for every 3 light points you have left at the end of the game :) great video!!
I think a rule aspect is missing from this explanation.. when u upgrade your trees (from small to larger), the small trees are removed and replaced on your player board. To re-use those pulled trees u have to re-purchase them (for future use) with your solar points/dollars (Can't remember the exact term but.. ) Manufacturer's instructions for this game were kinda lacking, so I appreciate your vid.

I just played this with my wife who never played anything more than Monopoly, including myself. This is my “gateway” game, if you want to call it that. It rocked. It took us over two hours, but after we grasped the game, we hit a groove. She surprised me, I didn’t think she’d be interested, but she started using some advanced techniques and almost beat me! Great game, although it’s nit something I would play all the time as it takes a lot of energy to play, at least us noobs think so.

This is the only board game for which I've watched many videos on yet I still have the same questions no one has addressed such as 1. Can we put the initial medium tree right on the board or are medium and large trees only possible to be placed there by upgrading a small one into them? or 2. So can we only get to the center of the game through planting seeds?

The rules leave several questions unanswered; I was hoping this video would possibly clear them up, but sadly no.
In the life cycle phase do players take turns using their light points (ie player 1 buys a thing, player two plants, then back to player 1), or does each player do as much as they want with their light points before the next player goes?
Growing a seed counts as an action for the tree the seed grew from, not the seed itself, so can a seed be grown to a small tree in the same turn in was planted?
And it's not specifically stated in the rules, but I assume once a seed or tree is in a space no other seeds or trees can be in that space, until the tree's life cycle ends and it's removed from the board?

I have 2 questions about the game:
1 - After collecting can I put a seed in same turn?
2 - If I have a medium tree at last square of a shadow of other medium or big tree will be all blocked?
On each of your turns you can only do one action that references a space on the board. So you can’t collect a tree and place a seed there in the same turn.

Probably use a little flashlight and you have your light source. That's what I'd do.

I'm slowly working my way through the Critical Role back log. All the stuff that has been coming out as I binge seems pretty bad, mostly just advertisements for games or shows on Alpha, which I guess is yet another pay wall? Is there any reason to stick around on this channel when I finish..?
1, 2, and 3. Next up, Darwin’s Evolution where your specie can eat, evolve, multiply, and conquer other species. Or you can stealth mode and do the same. The winner will be the person lasted predetermined rounds or when no other species left.
There is a game called Evolution. Slightly different than what you described but pretty good.

What happens if in a turn i have enough points to collect a tree and then in the same turn i buy the same tree i collected to upgrade another one in the board, is even possible?, based on the rules of the game, i'm not using the same spot so it should be possible, but seems a little broken.

stealthyshiroean sadly, Titansgrave ended when geek and sundry was bought out because it didn't get enough views compared to other series on the channel. The thing that sucks the most is that it ended on a cliffhanger, darn you corporate!

lovely, but being english not my first language, you go a little too fast for my personal taste.

While this game looks fun, it reminds me of when I was attacked by trees as a young boy. A hypnotherapist I saw briefly insists that the trees were actually a pack of hungry wild dogs, but I know better. Please take this video down.
