Sometimes I'm so afraid to hear those next "no's" over and over again, that it completely blocks me mentally and my next actions. Really trying to overcome this and stop that awful feeling of guilt after sending e-mails and messages to people. It's really irrational and after 14 years in this business I should have learned it, but it still slows down my career and doesn't let me grow to my fullest potential. Time to stop caring too much and start pushing again.
I guess my thinking was often kinda like "oh they're gonna remember they said no to me, and I can't hear too many "no" replies from those few important people because I'm gonna be forever associated with being not good enough with what I send or offer. Like a particular label rejects me 5 times in a row, why would they even open the 6th message from me. LOL

It's also interesting what you say about the perception of having multiple fails, like everyone only cares about your single success if you manage to pull it off. However people can see/follow the numbers and results of all those failed songs or social media content and come to a conclusion that you're not that good/popular. Many artists keep faking their numbers or results just not to leave an impression of having fails. It's called social proof, right?
