'The POWER of the Amy' 😁😁
I do love your videos, they are always cheerful,
Thanks for sharing
haha! 💪🏻 these muscles are trained for heavy lock gates!!
Thank you so much for watching 😊
Congrats on ticking off the whole loop…..well except for that little thumb, someday you’ll get it too. Hope you enjoy your holiday 👍🏼🙋🏼♀️
The London Bits...good name for a band
Have you tried using WD40 on your roofbox screws?
Not as a lubricant to get the rusted screws off, but as a preventative coating...new screws + occasional squirts of WD40 = rust free for longer
(fun fact: the WD stands for Water Displacement)
Good idea!! We do have a tin of that, gonna try! :) Thanks!
Beautiful spot on the roof, and wonderful drone footage - even with the drone going on its on cruise.. 😉🤩
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you! 🥰
💜💙💚 Happy Birthday Amy!
🥰 thanks Tia!
Great to see Rufus having so much fun.
he loves it!
Brilliant news that your southern adventure is now complete. I have now caught up with all your vlogs from number 1 right through, and really enjoy your travels, filming, and your boundless enthusiasm. You are wonderful to watch and I love the reality of your boat time. Looking forward to wherever your travels take you xx
Wow! Thank you so much for going back and watching them all! That's so amazing, we appreciate you!! 🥰👏🏻and thank you for such lovely words! 🥰
The drone footage was superb. Maybe drone footage of Rufus' zoomies next time? That would be hilarious 😆
We would love to, but Rufus HATES the drone, so no zoomies will be happening while its around unfortunately haaha! 🐕
You two are living a holiday every day x
haha It might seem that way but it is very different! 😊 we are still very lucky though
Aww! Rufus made a friend ❤️ Hope you’ve had a lovely birthday Amy 🎂
Thank you!! 😊 I did!
So good to see Rufus running free with a friend!!! ❤️🐾
You can get plastic nuts and bolts from a car spares shop, they are for number plates .😊
Ooo, good idea! Might try those next time we buy a batch 😊
Congrats on achieving the South end of the canal system.... well done... now for the North adventures - enjoy cheers Debz from Oz
So excited to see the first boat i have ever driven in ur video. I drove it earlier this year inspired by your blog to give boating a go ! Now saving for my own boat. Big shout out to Jessop the boat and the fabulous Bridget @ inland navigators. Keep up the great work guys really enjoy all ur vlogs and hopefully soon to join u on the water ways of the uk . Matt xxx
Loved another well put together video. I especially enjoyed the description of sites. If I never get to see your beautiful beloved canals. I have the best view with you two. Congratulations maneuvering GG through the spaces.
The joy most cruisers have seeing the babies and springtime beauty is enjoyable.
Safe travels and thank you for sharing.
Thank you so so much 🥰 that's very kind! Hopefully you get to see them one day, but for now we will show you as much of them as we can!
Loved Rufus with his friend xx lovely vlog 💕
Thank you!! 😊
A vacation sounds wonderful! I’m very excited for you, but I feel like you don’t need to share it unless that’s what you’ve planned. I personally would just throw up a video I’d made earlier so I could enjoy myself. 🤣
But in saying that, I’ll be watching whatever you post.
We did film it! Got some really good footage, cant wait to share it! 😋🤗 thank you! 🥰
Well done on completing the southern area.
For your roof box problem I would recommend M8 stainless nyloc nuts, M8 x 40 bolts and M8 x 25 washers. These are available from Screwfix in bags of 10 bolts (£4.39) 50 washers (£8.99) and 100 nuts (£11.59) Screwfix also will deliver.
Thank you!! Good to know 😊
You're expert boaters now. 🚣🛳 Loved seeing Rufus playing zoomies with friend 🐕😃
Hi Amy and Wes. Congratulations on completing the whole of the South network (except for the bit you couldn’t! Loved the sunset 🥰Take care. Nick
Thank you 🤗 he loved it!
Thanks Nick! 🥰☀️
Well done on completing the south . Looking forward to your next adventures.
Brilliant vlog you both do make me chuckle 😂❤
thank you so much!! 🥰
Rochdale canal is epic!!
Looking forward to doing it!
Challenge for Wes: spot the train, log the Train Operating Company name (ie EMR) and as a bonus capture lead unit number 👍 look forward to next time you see a train! 🙏
oh wow! We barely manage to film it in time before it whizzes past haha!
Hi Amy & Wes & the boy, Just come out of hospital, it's a joy to be home and chill and watch❤X🐰x
Ah thank you!! Hope you’re doing okay! 💕
Good video cracking it on the cut keep up the good video thanks lee
Thanks Lee!👍
Yay - another part of the journey completed 🎉. I don't think i've ever known a hacksaw get more use - roof bolts (multiple times), kitchen makeovers, DIY 🤣🤣🤣
Woooo! 🥳
Best part is, it wasn't even ours, was just left by the previous owner and now its one of our most used tools 😂😂
💐Happy Birthday Amy 💐lovely blog well done on completing the south tc both luv from the oldies 🤗❤️🤗❤️
Thanks so much! 😊
On the Dudley canel just by the gosty tunnel there is one if thise perfect points where the canel is crossed by a road and rail bridge i always remembered it from traveling on the train as one of those tripoints of travel
Oooh love it when that happens! Will keep an eye out when we visit 😊
Wow congratulations to you continuous cruisers 🎉😂well done thanks for taking us along all the way so enjoy your videos here in Las Vegas NV USA
Thank you so much!! And thanks for watching along with us, we are glad you are here 🥰👋🏻
Thanks for the cruise. We stayed in the Lock Keepers Cottage at lock 7 Lock Buckby on one of our many UK trips from Australia
Thanks for watching! Bet that was a great stay 😊
Have a lovely holiday.💚
thank you!! ☺️
We are heading towards Braunston, we will be doing that heavy lock flight on Tuesday. It was nice to see Rufus having a lovely time playing with another dog xx
I so hope you come to Leeds.
Brilliant. thanks for the vlog
Thank you so much 🥰
Xx
I'm just in the process of buying a boat from Whilton and will be travelling that same route when we leave for Sawley.
very exciting! Good luck with it all 😊
Well done Guys and you were rewarded with an Elson.🤣Look at all the miles and water you have covered, never a dull moment. The difference sunshine makes, everywhere looks so much nicer but the area in your film was particularly pretty. Enjoy and Hugs to Rufus. xx
Thank you so much! Everywhere looks much nicer in the sunshine 😊☀️
That drone moment so relatable 😅😂
😂 drones are so stressful!!
Happy holidays you guys are so funny I love you video 😂😊
Thank you!! 😊☀️
I would try coating those bolts with good ole lanolin before you put them on in the fall.
Come to the great Ouse 😃
We will do for sure one day! 😊 Not for a while tho yet
Can't wait for you be in the midlands I'm a stokie girly so hopefully you will make it up Etruria or west port canel that's so close too me ❤xxx
Ah, we've already been through there a while a go! Who knows though we might pass through again 😊
I'm also a midlands girly! ✌🏻💓- Amy
Where you off to on you're VK? WE just got back not to long ago from Hawaii, Chicago, Michigan, and Seattle. First time out of Alaska since covid restrictions lifted. I am so happy to be back home in Alaska that whole trip was cray cray. I jumped off a cliff in Honolulu from 30 feet up and felt like i was jumping to my death 😆 🎉
We went to Gran Canaria!⛱️😊
Oh wow! Sounds like an amazing adventure!! Glad you had fun
Get up to Llangollen 😊
The plan is to be there for winter! 😊☃️ very excited
You should try wd40 for the screws
good to know! 👍🏻
Enjoy your videos, I went through those locks yesterday but I'm heading towards the Ashby, instead of using a nut and bolt to close the roof box why don't you put a small padlock on then you can stop it rusting with a quick squirt of WD40?
good to see you today! 👍🏻
@@BoatTime thanks hope to see you again keep up the good work
Remind us please, why was the Basingstoke Canal missed out?
Because the locks were only open at certain times and you couldn’t cruise freely on it, which meant we weren’t able to do it when Wes was working a 9-5 🙁
@BoatTime ah, bugger. Still what an absolute blast you guys have had. From your first episode to now, you have come on leaps and bounds. Glacial pace for you but huge experience gains 💪 👏
Hello, the nuts & bolts rust because they are in contact with the aluminium. Have you tried using brass ones?
oooh didn’t think of that! could try that or someone suggested plastic ones
Probably not as secure, you’re more likely to be able to get brass ones in a wider range of shops. Also better for the environment… thanks for the videos, really enjoy watching you living the dream (well most of the time anyway, living the dream that is not me being fickle about the videos). Take care and enjoy exploring some new places, exciting!
By any chance are your names on your Boat as Owners
If you mean on the paperwork, yes of course :)
Hey Amy and Wes, great vlog. Is the windlass you are using, the one that was gifted to you? It looks so easy to use. I wondered if it was possible for the website link please? As a friend has said she would like one for her birthday. 🎉
Amy uses her main go-to windlass but we also use the GoWindlass which was the one we were gifted 😊 it’s great! gowindlass.co.uk
@@BoatTime thank you a much. That's fantastic. Hope you all are well. Love 💗 all your vlogs and my family love them too💕.
Why don’t you use a padlock instead of nuts & bolts for your solar panel.
because there are 18 different points that need closing so that would be a lot of keys! and I don’t think they do packs that big with the same key
Why do you think your viewers are interested in watching you empty your toilet??????
Because they are, mostly! 😉 and its all part of boat life!
