“I’m of a mind to make some mooky.”
-The Joker
I thought be said moogy. Maybe he had a secret synthesiser deal with Moog.
Th is mooky though
@@BeeMusic2024 hes holding a picture of Vicki Vale, mookey is a term for wanting to bang her.
@@saitoubosh2253 yeah, definitely not, think he went off script with this! "I’m of a mind to make some mooky", whatever, is certainly more like it.
@@cesareonthemidway Urban Dictionary agrees (near enough!)
Tim Burton did a great job on this 1989 version of Batman. Outstanding use of light and sound. 30 year anniversary. Timeless.
Shaz style over substance is 90% of his movies lol. This is one of the few times he got it right
Shaz Perfectly said. There really wasn’t much of a story line. What was actually there was pretty thin.

Its either get laid or make money. I cant decide which
Money+ nookie = mookie?

+sugarnads Get Paid, Get Laid, Gatorade, amiright?
In the german version he says: "Ich hätte mal wieder Lust ein wenig zu bummsen." Which means he feels in the mood to Bang someone. Soooo yeah he wants to get laid but its also a real bad pun.
Pretty much
When Michael Keaton was asked if he ever gets jealous of other people playing Batman like Christian Bale does, he answered "No, because I'm Batman. I'm pretty secure in that".
Damn straight.
God. Damn. Right.
Michael Keaton will always be Batman and Christian Bale will always be American Psycho.....
Because Christian Bale is The Dark Knight
@@ismaill-0819 This is the correct answer

That's pretty badass that Nicholson has a buddy that he insists on being in the movie or else he won't do it. My friend comes or no deal!
It was childish behavior.
Maybe his friend was a huge fan of batman and it meant the world for him.
One of the best scenes is when the Joker just shoots him outta nowhere.

Batfleck: Hold my beer!
Bwahahaha so awesome
He really does kill a whole lotta people!
He killed people in the comics. Fanboys who don’t know their history get all butthurt when you call them on it
I think Keaton may have killed more than Batfleck.
Holy Murderous That true isn't it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nicholson LOOKED like the perfect Joker, Ledger ACTED like the perfect Joker., Hamill SOUNDED like the perfect Joker.
+TheKalluto Sounds like*
Hamill still voices the Joker.
+dn Only for The Killing Joke. He stopped after Arkham Knight, I believe.
+Halowars10232 no, it's just that when DC transitioned to the new 52 they got new voice actors for everyonein their animated movies. I'm pretty sure whenever they do something not in that continuity, they use Kevin conroy, mark hamill, etc.
Amen
TheKalluto Ledger *IS* nothing like the perfect Joker.
Jack Nicholson was an awesome funny Joker.
Mark Hamill was an awesome animated Joker.
Heath Ledger was an awesome psycho Joker.
And...
Jared Leto was an awesomely forgettable Joker.
whta about Joaquine Pheonix?
Cam Moghnahan was an awesome all-around Joker, good mix of psycho and funny, super underrated
@@therearenoshortcuts9868 he was an awesome origin story Joker
Accurate.
Most people would scream if in Vicki Vale's situation
When people still had faith in Leto’s Joker
Indeed.
He was good in Suicide Squad.
Suicide squad was a terrible movie, and Leto a terrible Joker. Maybe even the worst of them all...
Jerod Leto's Joker is a waist
Abram Sullivan “waist” 💀
I didn't like Leto's take on Joker. And I really didn't like Leto in Bladerunner 2049, but that might be because I really hated that character - Leto actually might have done a good job there.
"I'm of a mind to make some Mooky".
The definition of 'mooky' is: (Adjective) Something or someone who is kooky, cool, intelligent, funny, alternative, stylish, irreverent, inspired and adventurous.
The Urban Dictionary definition is: A crazy yet loveable girl who is a social misfit. She will always follow her heart.
Or: mookie :
The sex act or sexual activity in general....
I'm going for the first one.
(I actually looked up the script for this, and this is what he really says)
That's not an adjective.
except "i'm of a mind to make some kooky, cool, intelligent girl who follows her heart" doesn't really make any sense.
ChannelTonto neither did the movie
channeltonto it totally makes sense - though its closer to the 2nd definition; remember when he tricks vicki vale to go on the date he shows her the "work of art" he had made of his other lover, he's basically saying he's going to make her as crazy as him

Nicholson was actually the most comic book accurate personality and best joker. Nobody does crazy psychopath like Nicholson.
Nah Heath Ledger

Well, to be fair to "Batman" canon, the '80s Batman did _not_ have any rule against killing. He killed every now and then.
Batman had that rule since 1986
Examples?
@@Batman-zc4ui just gos to show how sensitive ppl have gotten.
@@Batman-zc4ui Batman stopped killing in 1940 when robin was first introduced since DC didnt want a murderous man teaching a kid how to murder. By 1986 he was definitely against killing.
@@davidshmil5982 also in 1989 the series of novels "legends of the dark knight" began and each one of the stories has a different way of applying the rule. The first annual issue is actually all about it. Great stories.

0:11 the batman vs Superman movie we deserved
By changing the costume to jet black, Tim Burton revolutionized things...
Most of the people bashing this film are in their late teens and early 20's...
Because anybody that was a kid when this came out, remembers how epic & original it truly was...
The movie bit. Adam West vs. Julie Newmar. The original Batman series starred the greatest actors such as César Romero, Burgess Meredith, Vincent Price, etc.
I was a fan of Batman Returns too. Michelle Pfeiffer is the definitive Catwoman
That last part could mean that nostalgia takes a big part in the opinion of the movie

Jdawg Cosplay Where does Birdman factor in though? Is that a weird middle ground between both?
Dub Michael Keaton plays the Vulture In Spider-Man Homecoming
He played as a Snowman Jack Frost.
And then he became barbies boy freind in toy story 3
One thing I really appreciated in this Batman was when he asks Vicki what her weight is before he uses his grapple gun. Then when she lied the grapple gun wasn't able to carry both of them out of harms way.
It just lent a bit of realism to the gadgets that he uses... They are physical and have limitations. Unlike in Nolan's films where the gadgets were flawless and worked all the time no matter what kind of stress they were under.
+Eethan O'Connell ...or like in the Nolan films.... Bruce Wayne doesn't invent anything for himself. Everything is just ready to be used by Batman thanks to Lucius Fox. This would be fine if Bruce wasn't supposed to also be a scientific genius who works tirelessly on developing good crime-fighting tech.

What people don't understand about Batman is that he's an Arkham patient running wild. He's just as mentally disturbed as the villains that he fights except that he's a good guy. Some of the crimes he stops are less serious than the crimes he commits (being a vigilante). The new movies try to touch on this, but it comes off as superficial.
That's why I think Keaton was the best Batman. He came across as being an eccentric weirdo that no one would ever suspect as being Batman, but in the suit he had this "I'm not impressed/ don't fuck with me vibe" that's just so fucking Batman. Keaton's stare was way more intimidating that scary voice bullshit. To top it off, Keaton Batman movies were gothic as fuck and not trying to be realistic. Batman source material never tried to be realistic.
If you've ever heard the joke that Joker makes in "The Killing Joke" at the end, it kinda sums up Batman and Joker in a perfect way:
Two crazy guys are locked up in the loony bin. They decide they're going to break out. They manage to get their hands on a flashlight as they sneak their way to the roof. once they reach the roof, they have to make a pretty decent jump. The first guy, with the flashlight, jumps across and barely makes it. The second guy, not in as great of a shape as the first, hesitates to jump.
"What are you waiting for?" the first guy hisses, "Just jump!"
"I can't make that jump!" the second guy whimpers.
The first guy has an idea. He has to talk fast... otherwise, they'll be caught soon.
"I'll tell you what," he points the flashlight, "I'll hold this light steady, and you make the jump. If you fall, you'll just land on the light and run across like a bridge!"
The second guys scoffs, shakes his head and steps back.
"What do you think I am? Crazy? As soon as I jump, you're going to shut that light off!"
Batman and Joker are just as insane as each other, but on different sides of the gap.
Yeah, and when he kills those people, it really just blurs the line, and the question arises, am I really a good guy?
Michael Keaton was perfect as Batman for me because he was so much more subtle & restrained. He didn't need to yell in peoples faces with an annoying ass voice to come off as intimidating.
Batman's source material was trying to be realistic to an extent, Batman Year One is a good example of this

Do a Honest Trailer of all Jokers before the Joker (2019) is released.
4:46 "I'm of a mind to make some moogi."
The only live action Batman to actually act like a detective, and the only live action Joker to actually use comedic props as deadly weapons.
I still love this movie, considering it came out in the late 1980's with no computers to help and it was this beautiful..... it is still my favorite.
Except for those futuristic scenes where 80's Batman has computers in the Batcave.
Then again so did 60's Batman.
If anyone's curious - that's Batman cereal was THE ABSOLUTE BEST. I still remember what it tasted like. Cereals after super heroes back then was legendary!
Yes I do remember that cereal
Just rewatched this. When I started the video I felt like putting in the Batman movie afterwords, now that it's over I feel more like watching The Shining.
