Now I think we all know zombies don’t typically come in groups of 1, they come in hoards! So I think the real question we should be asking is how many zombies a single 700 nitro can take out 🤔

Suggestion: pair up these zombie torsos with armor vest plates, so we can see the effect of a round like that even if it doesn't penetrate. The energy transfer should be WILD!

Seeing as how your reaction time is 2/10 of a second, your spine is what houses your central nervous system responsible for delivering input messages to the brain, and your aortic artery (a blood vessel the diameter of your freaking THUMB) runs right in front of your spine, you may feel less than you think. Your pain responses aren't tuned to you getting blown in half. Likely as not, you would have enough time to wonder what knocked you backward, and why nothing is working anymore, before massive blood loss and rapid drop in blood pressure knock you flat out. I like how the 700 zipped right thu leaving a gaping hole in the back both times, the 600 blew a hole in the back and obliterated the rest of the spine, 500 had absolutely absurd cavitation on the torso and 470 just removed half the left side (the gases from the barrel likely helped with that). Oddly enough 500 and 470 should be more effective on a human sized target bcz it transfers a lot more energy to it than... you know... the 5 zombies and 3 feet of dirt behind it...

Happy to see you are going with my old friends at Weatherby; good enthusiastic results. About the time that Remington came out with the 30-06 accelerator rounds with a sabot and a .22 bullet, somebody - might also have been Remington - made a similar one with a 50BMG with a .30 cal in the sabot, maybe 180 or 200 grain. One of those might do something interesting with the zombie. And, if somebody has them or would make them for you, it would be fun to have a 50BMG with a sabot for a .45 caliber such as the one in the 460 (not FMJ) and as hot a load as we can get away with. Much lighter than the std 50BMG, should be able to use more powder, maybe a faster powder. And get out the chronograph, probably over 4000 :-)
