I keep thinking if those rounds hits a human, I mean, the one that went through the stomach, the shock wave expanded it, I can't imagine what a person would experience in that moment ... well probably collapse from your spine blasting out your back. SHEEEET!!
Seeing as how your reaction time is 2/10 of a second, your spine is what houses your central nervous system responsible for delivering input messages to the brain, and your aortic artery (a blood vessel the diameter of your freaking THUMB) runs right in front of your spine, you may feel less than you think. Your pain responses aren't tuned to you getting blown in half. Seeing the torso expansion when those rounds are going in is just brutal! This is so violent, I love it! Thank you for another awesome video Scott! In your face GarandThumb!
There is one major issue with these weapons in terms of a zombie apocalypse, and that is the volume. One of the most crucial aspects of survival is staying unknown to your predators; something that is incredibly hard to do when every shot you make rings out across miles. So yes, each shot completely decimates a single target, it also attracts a brand new horde.
I mean, who's the predator in this scenario? Humans are social animals so i highly doubt there would be a lone Survivor firing this thing, especially in an apocalypse.
I’m not gonna lie the close up shot that you took on the zombie torso was the most epic thing I’ve seen in a long time. Thank you for posting such epic videos, glad I subscribed a while back because it is so worth it

Is that round still around? heard they did cause some barrel issues with the nuts speed, but can't say i ever seen a video where they shoot it.
Maybe 22-250 too
I hope nobody asked yet for a Torso in the shape of an Eggplant. Love watching ballistic tests. With the fun you have here, and the funny nature of the eggplant emoji the thumbnail and the video could be a great idea for some fun I think. See if the labs can make a giant ballistic eggplant dummy
We definitely need more of these kinds of tests. This video was a blast to watch. Now I want to know what every single round does.
Likely as not, you would have enough time to wonder what knocked you backward, and why nothing is working anymore, before massive blood loss and rapid drop in blood pressure knock you flat out. You'd be dead as a door nail in 15 seconds.

4:44 the sound is so satisfying 👁👄👁
Great opening! I'm sure it took a lot of work to make this one look so good... I do appreciate the trouble you go through to entertain all of us goobers out in the real world!
This was amazing Scott, especially that point blank shot. Holy smokes that was nuts 😮
That slow mo was nasty on that shot haha
Seriously, it was scary...LOL
I want to see .700 nitro now 😧
That click was so satisfying 2:57
I like how Scott cleans up his messes when he’s done playing. One can only imagine the interactions with mom as he was growing up! 🙄
He had a good mom
Found the Debbie-Downer
9:33 might be the most damage I've ever seen a gun do to one of these things
Well, you have to consider it got hit by 2 700, a 600 and a 500 already: was pretty damaged already.
Still, that was glorious ^^
Facts.
It was amazing
Fr
I had to rewind that a couple time. Just wow!
8:43 the face of a happy man
gives me the smile
Noone:
Scott: Moans about one shot costing $100, right before destroying a $2895 dummy. 😂
I bet Scott’s reaction when he fired the $100 round into the $2000 torso and lost the footage was NOT RUclips friendly!!!
The Nitro Express calibers ...shockingly impressive at spine removal
10:30 "Aww, don't be such a baby. Ribs grow back! (Aside) No, they don't!"
“MEEEEEDDIIIIIIIIC”. God bless.
that may be the coolest slow mo footage i’ve seen on youtube. the point blank shot was jaw dropping. just make sure you get all the bone matter out of the grill of your truck or your next traffic stop might be kind of hard to talk your way out of.
T Rex never fails to entertain and is the all time nemesis of the Kentucky Ballistics range.🤣 That 700 Nitro Express is a beast. Anything that can survive that is airstrike worthy.
I am ALWAYS up for seeing what rounds like these do to realistic (sorta) bodies! So my vote is Yes, please more content like this. And of COURSE we wanna see more about those other guns! Nothing as classy as a fine double rifle; although a fine Euro straight-pull like the Blazer easily takes second place.
Final lesson at the end for me was Pickup truck beats EVERYTHING else! :) And I hope the table legs didn't poke anything as you went over it. :)
whoever made the bullet name 700 nitro express, thank you, 700 nitro express trip to death when shot anywhere in the body
Cheers as always. Would be good to see a comparison between the 50 BMG and the 700 NE across a variety of media… what “kicks” more too?
Garand Thumb did a few .50 tests on torsos. Does quite a bit more damage than the 700.
.700 NE has more momentum, .50 bmg has more muzzle energy
@@jamx02 Actually, being that momentum is mass x velocity, the 1000gr .700NE moving at 2,000fps comes out to 2,000,000 even with a muzzle energy of 9,000ft lbs, while the 800gr .50 moving at 2,895fps comes out to 2,316,000 with a muzzle energy of 14,895ft lbs. The .50 is an absolutely insane round most people underestimate.
@@Darknight0781 Thanks for the Math, Really! Not gonna check ya, I’d just screw up in the +, -, *, definitely at the = for one reason or multiple. Cheers 👍
@@Darknight0781 So then .700 has more mass, but .50 has more gas.
I don't really know my firearms, but I do know this: If you cannot down a zombie with just one of those rifles - I'm going to be blunt here - you're screwed. Those are probably the most deadly rifles I have ever seen.
Those are cannons, the 700 nitro express is 18mm in diameter, literally a cannon
You know if you shoot in the head with some of that is DECAPITATION/OBLITERATION right? Really hunting rifles are the best for them scenarios.
Hmm I think the anzio 20mm anti material rifle could do better, since it's almost the round space marines in 40k Warhammer use in their bolters
Well you can just litterly open a zombie torso but it’s just recommended to aim for the head
@@EstebanGilChillington I wish 40k warhammer was more popular in the USA among the main stream ppl but games workshop are a bunch of money grubbing steins that don’t care about ppl having fun
Loved the video! It really brings home just how hard these rifles hit. In case you are on the lookout for your next boomstick, have you heard of stopping rifles? The 2-gage model throws a half pound of lead behind something like 1800 grains of black powder.
Almost every video for that last few years my comment has ended with "Punt Gun Slug" hoping that Scott and Taoflader would do a piece together with a 2ga punt... Now I'm torn 🤣 no one told me they made 2ga in a rifle round that looks like a 40mm grenade 😱 that would sure make all the nitros look like nerfs.
Forgotten Weapons has made a couple of videos on the 4 and 2 bore rifles.
My new favorite RUclips channel
One of the best videos gun related I’ve seen on RUclips! The amount of money alone spent on the ammunition for this video is over the top! Awesome Video Scott👍
This was great, love the gel torso.
Would love a video like this, with body armour strapped to the torso with you going up in bullet size after each shot, seeing which bullet would still cause lots of damage despite the armour, and which ones the armour stops.
I've seen a video on RUclips about this torso with lv 4 body armor.
Up to 5.56 it hold well. From 7.62 and beyond, it start to crush the bones inside even when it holds the round on the vest. The torso was also bleeding internally with the heavy rounds.
The video ended with a .50 that just dismantled everything despite of the body armor, just like on this video.
Somehow for a split second I was surprised it wasn’t a real zombie torso
Back again! We gotta get a whole video on the Weatherby 460. It's a wicked cartridge and I would like to see more of its power. Cheers, Scott!
Much like the guns that you shoot. Scott, you deliver a lot of energy to the internet and, for that we thank you.
These seem like perfectly reasonable rounds for home defense.
A person can survive a 9mil long enough to harm your family so make sure they lose the motor functions to move
@@antonh1159 Own a musket for home defense, since that's what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house. "What the devil?" As I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's smoothbore and nails the neighbors dog. I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, "Tally ho lads" the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Fix bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He Bleeds out waiting on the police to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the founding fathers intended

9:31 - i have to say... that not only was a behemoth monster shot and hit, but the fps and resolution for the slo-mo is absolutely peach perfect! love it!
9:50 boop!
When there’s a zombie apocalypse I’m going to this guys house
7:12 i think thats an armadillo on the lever. IDK tho lol but very sweet gun
I already know how expensive those torsos are… but if you could… I would love to see how many zombies you could take out with one round. I picture Scott in the zombie apocalypse standing in the road launching one of these things and taking out 20 zombies per trigger pull 🤣
Out of curiousity how much are these incredible torsos?
@@blankblank4642 $2000
@Cobra1978 there are some 3rd party tools made with RUclips API that content creators can use to scorch these comment spambots... Need to get Scott in on how to use them
Scott one thing i can say is that i really share your love of big calibres. You've shown me a few i never knew existed. Keep up the great content
Calibre is my favorite font, too. The bigger the better
I loved the intro keep up the work😂
Big thumbs up from Canada, Scott! That zombie torso is one of the coolest targets ever, and the slow motion footage is really interesting to watch, really illustrates how devastating those safari rounds are. Although they must be pricey, I think a series of zombie torso videos would be a winner with us viewers! Maybe using a few common handgun rounds and hunting rounds, even 22lr. Just what can these rounds do to a zombie?? Where is the best shot placement? Lol Cheers, and thank you for the good clean content, my young sons enjoy you also!
I just looked up one of those zombie torso's.....they're $2500. No wonder everyone that shoots one shoots it a whole lot....because it's not affordable to do more than one!
@@KCDustRemover yea but RUclipsrs like Scott and mike from GarandThumb get them sent to them for free, it’s useful for Ballistic Dummy labs because of marketing.
The most fun gun channel on RUclips, hands down. Thanks Scott! You're whale of a good time lol.
Scooter!!! Still my favorite character; just too dang funny.
Hope all the Kenfolk are having a great day! Thanks for the entertainment, Scott.
This was the best video ive seen in awhile on these gun channels. That torso is amazing
1000% awesome, love to see ballistic torso tests, and would LOVE to see more!!! Awesome video Scott, can't wait for the next one!!
The 470 express shoulder shot was one of the best slow mow shots of dummies i've seen. It almost looked like the fire went into the hole from the bullet lighting up the inside of the gel, Not sure if thats how it actually works but from how close he was it just made the dummy explode
This is the first video of this guy I've watched, and I already find him amazing. He's not one of those extreme guys that says "Oh, look at all my guns" he's just one of the guys, y'know? Very cool
Yeah Scott is a good guy and let’s his humor and the content make the video good, not just his really impressive gun collection
@@drumminggoose444 me too man
..Scott is that you?
I don’t know why I found “ oh, look at my guns “ funny xd
Awesome power! Perfect home defense gun. If you have hardened concrete walls.
Literal home defense. You grab this gun when you are being attacked by things the size of houses.
you would not belive....
in exactly the moment the trex attacks my cat jumps on my chest. i nearly got an heart attack XD
Beautiful guns all. Scott, you really outdid yourself this time! Zombie heads are good too as well as being slightly cheaper.
Zombie head VS any of the Nitro's = What zombie head? 🤔🤣
Kentucky Ballistics has some porn spam bots in his comments :/
Garand Thumb did the one with a 12Ga slug Vs Zombie head. Ya quite a mess. Entertaining!
As both a gun and VR nerd, this was an interesting intro lol. The well known gun-fun game "Hotdogs, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades" features Hickok45's range, maybe they should add the Kentucky Ballistics range too? Actually that would be rad.
Crossover episode!
id play that stage, would be sick
They really should. I mean they added hicock45s range into why, why not kentucky ballastics? Maybe they could make the range and the 700 nitro express?
@@TheLichruler Anton is currently working on grillhouse I think, but you can get a Nitro express with mods
That point blank shot was incredible. I'd love to see more of this. Awesome video. Take care Scott!

Been Thinking of of buying this for home defense for a while, great video definitely getting one 👍
Dang Scott, you are amassing a nice collection of double rifles and elephant guns in general. Excellent job and taste.
perfect for the zombie elephant apocalypse
These are my favorite type of videos coming out recently. So interesting to see what happens to the dummys
Best intro you've ever done! Love the ballistic dummy tests, definitely should do more of these!
Best intro ever! Keep up the good work!
Absolutely would love to see this type of test again. I think 45-70 firing Hornady 325gr FTX Leverevolution ammo would be interesting. It's one of the highest velocity 45-70 rounds on the market, second only to some of Buffalo Boars' wilder loadings, but it's also a polymer tipped hollow point.
Ok
They make the same round in 250 grain. Faster.
Well, this is in the movies, these mfs don’t even have brains, how would we know if they could even hear?
I mean, who's the predator in this scenario? Humans are social animals so i highly doubt there would be a lone Survivor firing this thing, especially in an apocalypse.
@@Notkryo Ever read Lord Of The Flies? and the predators are clearly the zombies.
Edit:Hell the entire dark forest theory applies too
@@SnakeChkn yeah, still doubt that zombie is gonna win against a huge gun.
Ugh. There’s always that one nerd….

I’m not gonna lie the close up shot that you took on the zombie torso was the most epic thing I’ve seen in a long time. Thank you for posting such epic videos, glad I subscribed a while back because it is so worth it
