- Geovanny Valdez goes from bodega owner by day to DJ Jova by night. With over 40,000 listeners tuning in to Relambia FM, the Latin radio station he started for the residents of East Brooklyn, New York, Valdez churns out an eclectic mix of urban music, romantic ballads, merengue, and classic oldies. But this show isn’t just about the jams, it’s a chance to give a voice to his community.

Syahmir Isnin no bodega is full without a cat
If a bodega doesn't have a cat, leave
So surreal looking at a video of a guy who lives and is descendant of the same places as me.
Great content as always! Such a great inspiration for my channel. Keep it up :)

amazing! a true inspiration that means you can start your passion anywhere either in your room or in your bodega. what a nice story. i suggest he should have a podcast or a twitch for livestreams
Like the classica and merengue, best.
What a lovely story! I really feel bad that I thought this was gonna be about the musical “In the Heights”.
Please do more of these New York stories, there's so much more history across the boroughs that deserve to be told.

Hi
Same vid ???
Somehow, the Americans changed the definition of BODEGA. I grew up with the definition for that word as "warehouse" or "stock room."
We also call grocery stores "bodegas" in Perú.
Nicolás del Castillo Thank you! I did not know that. So many Spanish words were adapted into the Pilipino/ Tagalong language. All my life, bodega is where you store stuff. I did not know it has a different Peruvian meaning. God bless!
Wait, Precinct 75??? Many bad experiences with them.. but I guess they're cool, who would've known! Let's hope gentrification doesn't ruin the place 👍
