Reason came in with that energy that we as producers ask for. That suggestion to put a filter on the keys was a perfect example. Coles willingness to try it is also what makes this genius. Great Duo!
Amen.
He shoulda let him rap
@@NARCOCYPHERS that’s exactly what I said
Completely agreed. This is why pop songs have 20 writers and producers. They're spending a budget trying to capture this energy. This type of energy is pure magic though - you could never plan or organize it no matter how big the budget
Yeah...studio vibes with a several masterminds make for the best suggestions.
Have to always be willing to try something
i really appreciate hearing a beat like this among so many trap instrumentals lately
The old
School is still alive in a new way!! - so many producers are leading the wave of revived classic hip hop and boombap
100%
@@8ontheside820 yessssir that boom bap but we got trap drums in it
👌👌👌
@@8ontheside820 boom bap for ever
Probably my favorite series on youtube
Mines too!
Same, I hope they don’t take a break again. It would be cool if they went back and did 2nd round episodes with producers that were already on. I would love to see a new 9th Wonder episode.
Same. Glad I been seeing more more coming back steady
Yup 👍🏽
👌👌👌
This producer’s on his way to becoming a young legend. Doing Lay Wit Ya, BB King Freestyle, Headshots (4 da locals), and Wheelie all within a two year period is insane. Love it
THE TITLES ARE HARD AT LEAST. 👻❤️🕊
Don’t forget he produced J. Cole “G.O.M.D” of 2014 Forest Hills Drive
@@mannythemvrk Where did you see that? Pretty sure Cole produced that track himself
Bro in my mind he already made it with g.o.m.d
@@Dante-xc9hx He says it right at the start... Hey Hollywood, Hollywood Cole!!
Whoever decided to bring this series back needs a raise!
Not gonna lie, about halfway in I was thinking "well, they can't ALL be amazing," but then he worked some magic. I love this series so much.
So happy these are back! Gets me in the beat making mood
Fr 🔥
still one of my favorite series on youtube, glad y'all are still doin it. not gonna lie I would love to see some repeat guests from the older episodes. every episode is a roulette!
Interesting 🤔
we need 9th again
Great idea!
I need to see HitMaka, ATL Jacob, TURBO, & myself on this mf 😂💯👑
C $ gotta come back
Wow, this is one is one of my favorite beats I’ve heard on RR in a while.
Super dope.
What’s the intro song name?
@@Kai_Hagy Isaiah Rashad ft Duke Deuces - Lay Wit Ya
SOOO glad my dude did not go the trap route....This is actually one of the dopest episodes....I like when it seems like the Producer got a bad batch, but then outta nowhere some heat emerges💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥
With that last record you could probably make an entire album. But indeed, it was a great episode. It showed the magic of sampling perfectly..
After such a long break its dope af to see RR back in full force!
This one kinda became an instant classic too.
Reason presented his idea perfectly. What do you think about adding a filter to the piano keys so it sounds old like the sample? That's how you build chemistry with someone
Watching this since 2010! Don’t stop again please!🙏🏽
His style is impeccable and his sound is so unique! Cole you are a legend!
That’s a classic beat right there.
Definitely need more of these fam. I know covid hit but we’re back outside now lol.
9th wonder is my favorite episode btw 🔥
9th still the best!!
9th wonder destroyed every record he picked. Still number 1.
The first beat he did on that episode blew my mind lol
He took the easy route on "this (record) is a wrap".
Nah, younger blood, your ear didn't catch that horn and voice sample right on that first Country record.
Plus open guitar’s on that record
@@NysceWorkk Oh okay I feel what you're sayin'.
I thought that third track he landed on before taking it off the player sounded like a dope sample
Yes!!! I just got done posting the same thing! 💯💯💯
Heard this Gloria Lynne sample on Morgan state station 88.9 like 25 years ago and been looking for it 🔥🔥
Loving his style no 🧢
keep more content coming!!! love these
The sample at 2:35 was perfect. I would’ve put some drums on that and called it a day lol.
Lol same here 😂😂😂😂.... and those voices use them for chorus section
Yea pitch it down a little, throw it in a sampler to sequence to the grid and ur done
What's the name of that sample?
Was cool to see that mini artist/producer moment with the texture.
This my favourite so far
Reason pulling up is a nice added bonus 👏🏾
This is what it is by reason…soon as he slowed that sample down and I heard the drums
but it’s not.
@@Eye_Know 😂 clearly you don’t listen to reason or know about Hollywood cole…go look up the song.. this the beat before effects were put on it 😂😂😂
Not sure… I think the piano part in “it is what it is” is different. Same drums exactly tho
@@gavi4260 it’s the same pattern of the drums..they changed it around a bit you can tell. If you listen to reason freestyling it’s the same flow
True. He just replaced the sample with Janet
Headshots one of the dopest beats i ever heard, bro really got that flavour
Honestly wasn’t expecting much when I started this episode but he really killed it. One of my favorite episodes in a long time
Haven’t even watched yet but just so happy y’all being consistent missed you so much
Rhythm Roulette IS LIFE bro!
i love the fact that the other guy came and started giving ideas , rappers/singers shouldnt be afraid to ask to change something , i wish i coul work with people like that

Interesting fact “Murs” has had several records that’s sampled this talented women Gloria Lynne. They appear mostly in his early to mid 2000 work.
