- Alejandra Fierro Eleta, aka Gladys Palmera, has had an affinity for Latin music ever since she was a little girl. After spending a year in Panama at the age of 18, she took her love of music to the next level, beginning to collect LPs from some of her favorite musicians. Today, the Gladys Palmera Collection has grown into one of the largest, most comprehensive libraries of Latin music in the world, containing over 100,000 pieces of music.

Nice Latin Collection. I collect spanish 45" records. I've been collecting records since i was 3yrs old in 1968
I wonder about the copyright legal aspect of it. But this collection should be DIGITIZED before something bad happens to it. She has the right because she owns it, but who know if she can then give it to the world in digital format. Seems a darn shame she cannot share it online.

there's shitty mainstream songs in all genres; however, "latin music" isn't even a genre, that's too vague, like saying "european music". tango isn't the same as mariachi, or reggaeton, or bossa nova.
