The craziest part is sometimes fathers pass down their "masculine traumas" to their daughters and mothers pass down their "feminine traumas" to their sons.
Lately I've been considering what a mans childhood may have looked and felt like. The stories of the let downs men have experienced really reminded me of how human men are.. really how human we all are. I know this podcast is for men and not meant to be a comparison but there are truly gems in here for anyone willing to hear you out. Thanks again for sharing the healthy male perspective. Yall keep talking and I'll keep listening :))
If I can give 1 bit of relationship advice to my daughters is the most valuable thing you can give to a man is unconditional positive regard. Giving a man a safe space to be vulnerable with you is so important. A safe space is what we struggle to find
A lot of women are used to being more mature than their partner, always having something to point out ab the other- but once they meet someone who is more mature or who is equally yolked, they then don’t know what to do. They don’t know how to hold space for growth in the healthy relationship, don’t know how to take accountability, don’t know how to push past her experiences to be able to receive new ones. All of us at a point need to also turn that light inward and see where we can expand our containers and make space to come into more/new in our relationships n lives.
