Neon Sign Effect Illustrator & Photoshop Tutorial

- In today's tutorial we're going to create a bright neon sign effect using the powers of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. While it is possible to construct the entire artwork in Photoshop alone, Illustrator offers some useful tools for producing the initial layout with its vector shape building capabilities. Where Photoshop really shines is with its various layer style options that can be configured to create vibrant lighting effects, which are perfect for depicting a realistic, illuminated neon sign. Real neon signs are made out of glass tubes that a bent into shape, so to help with the realism of our neon sign artwork, the linework will be created in a way so there's a start and end point for each segment with no overlaps. Photographs of real neon signs show intense brightness from the tube that appears almost white, but with an ambient glow of a vibrant colour. This will be replicated using Photoshop's Inner Glow, Outer Glow and Drop Shadow effects.

well.. Im gonna disagree with that just because money may be a concern for the creator, he's doing a high-level class here with this tutorial, we are getting it for free. I wouldn't mind if the video got 10min. Besides, we all know ADS isn't the main way to get money on youtube. Take the time you need to create a video! Wanting more for your life isn't a bad thing, as you certainly deserve it.

I love your tutorials. They are super quick, but don't leave any crucial information out, perfect for someone like me who already knows the basics, and doesn't need a lengthy explanation about the difference between the selection tool and the direct selection tool.

You need to take basic classes of illustrator, adobe has video tutorials of the basics on their website. Try to learn the commands for basic controls, and learn to play with the arrows on the keyboard as well. Try to play with the program and see what happens. This guy is advanced and makes it look easy so don't worry if you don't understand. Baby steps!
After photoshop step, my logo is not vectorized, how can i Vectorize the logo after the photoshop step ??

Cmd is the same as ctrl
can somebody tell me where the command key is in a Lenovo laptop? I use Windows and not a Mac. I can't move the start and end points of the spiral.
On Windows it is the Ctrl button
