I have watched 300 videos like this for 10 years and this is THE BEST NEON GLOW TUTORIAL there is. All of the other ones have you overlapping layer after layer and you can never make it into one thing that adjusts. This is remarkable training. Bless you for sharing this. wow.
Completely agreed. I have a client that needs a neon glow logo and every. Single. Other tutorial. Is this wildly complicated thing that you have to go in and manually adjust multiple layer gradients to make one change.
Absolutely magic tutorial. Very well delivered, and PRACTICAL for commercial designers producing proper artwork under time constratints. Saves all that hideous and unnecessary pissing about in Photoshop, which you shouldn't actually ever consider for type related projects anyway. Its incredible how many people actually will do though. Thank you, and well done. Keep fighting the good fight.
Glad I looked this up, I was putting my graphics into Photoshop and making pseudo glowing effects with brushes. It helped me conceptualize me designs but it didn’t look very crisp.
Great tutorial. Love to see artists sharing their techniques, especially when they're efficient. Graphics artists of the future are going to be insane. BTW **To retain editability to the path. Just drag the fill color into the stroke color slot after you apply the graphic style or drag the graphic style into the stroke color slot. You can also duplicate any layers in the Appearance panel by clicking the [+] button ('Duplicate Selected Item') in the bottom right of the panel or by dragging the layer down to the [+] button in the bottom right of the Appearance panel. Cheers :D
I can't add effects to fills in CS5. Is it not available in that edition? I can work around using layers instead but then of course the text isn't editable whitout headache.

This is really beautiful, full of possibilities, and your voice is super clear for non-natives. Thank you very much.

How do you use the style for different colors on the same drawing?
great, Sir
Mine doesn't look much like this. All the blurs look grey, are too dense and have very little color. Ideas?
But how can I fill the text with gradient?
i tried but didn't bring out the glow
My laptop sounded like an airplane about to take off. The gausian loading was awful
The colors go straight to grayscale and make everything look awkward... I'm trying to figure that out
i dont have inner glow and outer glow so I'm having a hard time to do this.
I can't add this design on my graphic style.
That looks amazing. Is there a way to send that effect to me? 😆
