Back to narrowboats we go! We're a tiny bit sad to leave our French adventure behind but we're really excited to get started on some good projects we've got waiting. x
@@JDESP the outside world isn’t in a school! Home schooling, if done properly, exposes children to the real world, and fosters inter generational relationships… Neither of us is going to change our mind and that’s okay, but I’m just explaining my view (and I’m happy to read yours even though I disagree).
It's not selfish and schools teadh them to not have critical and to get sucked into group think. Homeschooling allows children to learn to how to work with all age groups, to work independently and cooperatively, and to follow their passions. With the governmental brainwashing through public schools I would never put my kids in public school again.
Wow, what a fabulous trip. Lovely to end it with friends. William has done so well - I know we don’t see the grumpy, tired behaviour but for a small boy he has been fantastic. We done to you parents!!
So lovely to finally meet you three!!! Thanks for making the schlep to Falmouth and for enduring the wet boat ride with us. We had a blast. Until next time! -S
If anyone has watched all of your episodes and not realised how much not a morning person you are, Vic, they haven’t been paying attention. 😂 William is a gem. You’re doing great in your parenting. It’s beautiful to watch. Be well.
Did William actually just excitedly say "oh Kayaks"?!! 🤩 Bless his little cotton socks 💜💜💜 And actually how does he even know that " that is lovely"?! Well seasoned traveller there!! This was so much fun with your combined sense of humour x💜 Jo talking about " how does ;[the captain] do that, once asked the Isle of Wight captain the same question and he said" see that tree" 😂😂😂
Lovely Vlog as usual. Amazing how you get around with all your gear and a two year old, walking and catching your various modes of transport. I find it always a bit sad at the end of a lovely holiday, but at the same time it’s good to get back to your own bed and surroundings Thank You for sharing
It's so lovely watching your adventures and little William is so grown up for his age. Like my grandson, he loves the wildlife doesn't he. My grandson found a crab claw once and he would not let us get rid; had it for months! 😅 He's 11 now and still remembers it 🥰 So glad you all enjoyed a lovely break in France 🥰
Well what a trip you have been. Quite an adventure. You have both done so well coping with a little toddler and all your travel transport. Thank you for taking us along. I hope you feel as refreshed as can be and not too exhausted.
Plymothians my luvver 😊 Some nice parts but flattened during the war. City centre is monolithic blocks. The Hoe which looks ove r Plymouth Sound where you came in is lovely, as is the Barbican, Mayflower Steps/ Pilgrim Fathers etc. Built on 7 hills, gets you fit!
Love being on holiday with you guys and ofcourse William. Brings back memories of holidays with my grandchildren . They still talk about our trips with affection so definitely worth the effort . xxx
You've brought back lots of lovely memories as my daughter lives in Cammeret Sur Mer and Brest is her nearest large town which was totally rebuilt after the war as it was flattened. You've been to many of the places I've been to with her. I came back via St Malo it's so beautiful there x
My Grandparents lived around Plymouth when I was a child and we holidayed every year in Devon. There’s Plymouth Hoe with Smeaton’s Tower and back in the 60’s, an outside swimming pool. I absolutely loved it as a child, some very happy memories!
Welcome home! We managed to catch up with you by the skin of our teeth (before you left your boat). It was so good to see William, surrounded by your lovely family, Jo 😀. It had been raining on that Sunday; but although you were closing up for the day you still managed a coffee for us both. (Thank you, Victor). We are watching this during the coldest temperatures that the Australian Eastern Seaboard has seen for many many years; but we are very happy to be back in Tassie. Hopefully see you again in about three years 😆.
Such a groovy and very exciting episode through France. I love riding on trains. You guys are beyond lucky. Please edit a greatest hits of your trip for us.
Most people would not consider what you have done for a short trip away with many hours and days taken up with the getting there bit, let alone with a toddler in tow, personally it is my favourite way to travel the journey is sometimes the best part, the destination just a bonus. Makes me feel like I just took a short break without having to plan or lift a finger, just sit back and take it all in, If only you could pass me some of that food I would be right there! Love It!
It has been such lovely holiday memories, a nice break from it all. William is so lucky to have such wonderful parents. His roadmap in life is overflowing with exciting adventures and possibilities. 🧸❤️🇦🇺🦘
What an amazing time away. Just amazes me how you work all your travel times and trains ECT. You have inspired me to start looking into this. Thank you for sharing your life with us. William is so funny he does make me laugh😂 Hope you have a good week 👍
We spent a lovely autumnal week in Quimper exploring the local area. Day cabin with a toddler is a must on the ferry, just to have a base! My husband is from Plymouth and I grew up 20 miles down the road, you were definitely being hoodwinked by a sunny day 😂 but the Plymouth-Roscoff ferry is fantastic for hopping over to France. Spent many a happy holiday week in Brittany as a child ❤ Travelling with a toddler is just the best, seeing the world from their perspective and exploring in a different way, what a brilliant experience for William!
I really enjoyed my week in Brittany in 2000. I loved the old buildings in the towns, I loved trying out my schoolboy French and especially the rural celebrations on Bastille Day. There were demonstrations of old rural activities; ploughing behind a pair of cob horses, mowing long grass with a scythe (different pattern to an English one) and the crepes, oh yes, the crepes!
Thanks for taking us on a lovely trip with you! That Ferry looked really lovely! Glad you made the most of it all and met up with your friends on the way back. Look after yourselves.😊
When we Texans took at three-week trip Down Under, the bit of America that we most missed was... pizza! Got back to Los Angeles late in the evening, too weary to go out, and ordered up pizza from room service at the Hyatt Regency. For Jo, it was canned beans!
You make well told stories with effective visuals, so many short cuts, efficient words - bravo! Crossing the street in Plymouth, so many cars, I felt the anxiety of crossing a busy street. And it goes on.. delightful!
I remember going to Brittany as a child. You brought some good memories back to me, so thanks for that, guys. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Great video as always when you go travelling.
Fab vlog (as ever) and I can’t believe you guys were right on our doorstep (we live about a mile from the station at Truro) we take the little Falmouth train often as it’s soooo adorable! Lovely to see you on your hols! ♥️🐚
Roscoff train has been a bus for a long time now like a lot of SNCF . Great vlog...love Roscoff !! The cruise ferry Pont Aven usually sails Plymouth to Spain...
Loved all of that, do not know how you do it, must have been a few wobbly moments with William but he just takes it all in his stride so well done on a great tour again
Great video thank you for taking us with you . I tried to buy another of your cookbooks for a friend but they say they are sold out , look forward to when they are back in stock . I have made some of your cakes and everyone loves them , thank you for your inspiration xxx
Lovely vlog, welcome back to England. I enjoyed watching your travels but it looked exhausting. William is a delight as always. Stay safe all of you. xxx
Great to see your holiday in France - you're putting in so much work to edit and film all the comings and goings. Really like it. Did William really say 'there are some kayaks'. That's a little boater boy for you. Roscoff looks beautiful. Thanks for taking us along. Glad you're looking forward to getting back home. ps who's that lovely sounding French guy who helped you with the traffic 😊
Lovely to see you back on English soil again. You have had such a wonderful sojourne in France but I am looking forward to seeing you back on Holly. Shame we didn't see the route to Macclesfield and then on to Bollington.
I have really loved this segment of your journeys. You wouldn't remember this at all but in ?Sept 2021 I ambled up the Erewash and you were refurbishing Holly not far above Trent Lock. I don't think that William was even a twinkle in your eyes then! I have followed your saga since then. Even allowing for your editing I think William's language skills are outstanding. Enjoy your next adventure. David from Nb Kotuku.
Great that you had such a good time in France. A pity that we didn't get to say "hi" when you were in the Niort and La Rochelle vicinity, but maybe next time. After the video in Roscoff, I think we'll be looking to visit there and maybe stay a couple of days.
People from Plymouth are called Janners... And it's like Coventry by the sea, but in a good way. As someone who has lived in Coventry and Plymouth the Sea makes up for a lot and seaside Devon, Cornwall and Dartmoor are all a bike ride away.
My daughter and family live in Plymouth, we live in St Austell in Cornwall. Falmouth is lovely for sure, but the last four years have seen a decline in all towns up and down the country, Cornwall no exception. Still a lovely place though.
Interrail includes UK! Lucky you. Many, many years ago I had a Eurail pass which didn't include UK of course. Trains in the UK were damned expensive then so this backpacker resorted to buses...much better and they didn't t go on strike.
Yeh and now all caught up after starting at the beginning 💜💜💜 Almost feels strange knowing we are now watching real time 💜💜💜Thank you both watching 4 years of vlogs in a few weeks has been a blast - interestingly found so many moments really emotional and seeing William grow and develop over the vlogs is fab. Such a perfect diary and record for you to look back on as well 💜💜💜
Lovely to see all the parts of your trip, do you think you’d try it again? Seemed like a lot of train trips to get to each place, a bit rushed at times or was that just how it ended up in the editing? Looking forward to next video to see yummy bakes again. OMG the crab leg, that is going to stink to high heavens and get maggots…….ask me how I know😂. Spent lots of summers at the seaside with kids gathering shells with snails still inside and hoarding them in their room. Ew ew ew. 😂, I can laugh now but at the time it was so gross. 🙋🏼♀️
Williams education far exceeds most childrens life experiences. You both are wonderful parents.x
I hope they home school him

Be well.
I think people who live in Plymouth should call themselves " Plymsouls". They probably will not agree.
Are those the shoes that always smell of sweaty footsies?
Actually brill idea 😂 in reality it's Plymothians
William is so sweet with all animals. He is darling. ❤❤
William is a perfect combination of you both and ever so clever
Awesome trip to France, thank you, i hadn't seen Steph and Pete in ages either, love the singing from the party boat at the end. Thanks for taking us.
William goes 'oh a kayak' so sweet.

Excellent video and narration. Once again a Massive Thanks to the PTron Crew for their sponsership.
Killer editing on this one Vic ..hats off 🤟
