It’s very interesting seeing these great reviews of slightly left field choices - keep them coming. I would like to see a head to head review of this bike against a Honda 750 Hornet. It sells for £7,300 so is actually cheaper (but very close on price) than the bike reviewed here and gets great reviews. I see that as it’s main rival, if it can see off the Hornet they’ve got a winner on their hands.👍

What is it about Fuel injection that the fueling is always an issue, is it smooth and linear or snatchy,??... Years ago l owned a couple of BMWs, had no issue with the carburation, Like Fi it needed to be adjusted and balanced. Same was true of my Guzzi 850 LeMan. that had two large Dell' Orto pumped carburettor's. Although the pumps would freeze up in cold weather making acceleration non existent, but had no fueling issues in normal running conditions..It may be more to do with modern Engines being 'Leaned out'...My first injected modern bike in 2014 was a VFR 800 it was 'snatchy' as hell from the get go! l remember thinking at the time WTFs going on here!.... I'm old enough to remember when all Motorcycles were 'Naked' and a fairing was an extra universal bolt on affair...

That looks like a VFM version of Aprilia's 660 range? Comfy ergos, similar electronic interventions, lighter in weight than most & an insanely great deal @ $7,500 BPS. Trust me, there's a pannier solution either available, or, just coming out. This thing will tour all day & rock out the canyons as well! If CFMOTO is going to make it, the current range is a pretty exciting look into value vs. Quality. A 4 year warranty answers most of my questions.

I have the 8s and have 3200 miles so far and love it, I considered the nk and the Ktm 790 but there are no dealers close to me. In time I’d expect more dealers to stock Cfmoto as they are nocking out some good bikes for the price, and on that the nk can be found on auto trader for £5999. Which is £2000 saving over my 8s, that’s serious value for money.

    Great review
However I’m not a fan of this type of bike I’m more old school classic
However this was a great test ride in my opinion due to the high visibility of the speedometer which gives you an honest idea of actual speed of the bike
In most test rides the camera seems to be showing the bike as moving faster than actual speed
So this ride put the camera and perspective of speed in sync for me
I think it would be a good idea to show actual speed versus camera speed on most rides
As I said this is not my kind of bike
But this was one of the best test rides I ever seen due to my reason above
Thanks again for the ride along
    Much appreciated

I don't like the display but on a modern looking bike like this then maybe it's target market likes them and expects one? What l'd like a Chinese bike reviewer to find out is, how long will the manufacture guarantee parts supply for? I recall a small cc BMW GS clone maybe 10 years ago that sold a ton quickly, then the importer folded and they were valueless. If a Chinese bike appealed to me enough to want to buy one, that's the issue that's on my mind, am l up the creek wanting a replacement part in 10 years time. Good looking bike. 👍

For some reason CF moto refuse to set up dealerships, it’s the same here in Spain. They have sold models here but again through strange places like motorcycle apparel shops. The bikes look good but are priced similar to existing tested brands. The CF moto 800 explore here in Spain is 12000 euro that competes with both the Vstrom 650 and new 800 as well as a host of other bikes. It’s interesting that they have gone in at high prices. I guess this is because CF moto own KTM or at least 51% of the company. Maybe because KTM have no say on opposition that’s the reason. It’s interesting that also Moto GB import Voge etc. Voge here in Spain and all of mainland Europe have a huge main dealer network, with over 20 models and over 5 years of sales. It’s strange that CF moto is the same in the UK as here, sold by franchises and at a high price. They are selling but nothing like the European sales of say the 900 DSX Voge, here currently 9000 pre booked road tests 1 batch to Spain and Portugal sold out in Jan. Second batch Arriving September sold out. No more pre orders in main land Europe until 2025 now. I like the CF moto 800mt series it has just over priced its self here in Mainland Europe

@@thebingleywheeler you're possibly right, breaking the perception of Chinese products being inferior certainly adds to the predudice. That said both the CF Moto and DSX are fantastic machines. 🤔

The rear end looks like it’s been rammed & what’s left of the mudguard botched back on . Keyless & gimmicky electronics is also a big no no for me . For the same money they could of built a proper motorcycle . This is just another example of allowing gamer & IT nerds , to run amok in their design departments . I don’t want or require any kind of slipper ,blipper , quick shifter , fly by wire ,riding modes , or blue tooth connectivity nerdy crap . I don’t care how fast it goes as when I go out on my bikes ,I am going out for a ride on public roads not a race track . They would have to pay me to take this 800 NK off their hands & give it garage room . So for me it’s a no big cigar award as far as this bike goes , but the usual thumbs up for your efforts & the Chanel Dave 👍

I do like the bike, but its not really that cheap. The 790 duke from ktm can be purchased for around the same price.
So i guess it comes down to which one you prefer.
Does seem like a good package overall but i fear that as the hornet and gsx are not much dearer most people will pick them.
Have to agree in the tft the standard model has a mich icer tft but does not come with the quick shifter

The new Honda hornet might be a close competitor........but the fact you forgot the hornet shows how forgettable a bike it is.....

Hi bingley wheeler, sorry to say I think this a very ugly bike don't like the tft and the head light is not very good looking and I don't like the rear hugger idont like and I don't like the key less on it and I like my triumph street tripel rs 765 and is afar better bike looking and also kawersaki z 800 is Also a better bike and I don't like Ktm and I think they are unreliable and suffer from electric problem so I would not have one .these bikes may go good now new but like ktm suffer electric problems latter done the line and the price may be good now what will they be like as they get oldder
