  • When discussing most major titles, the conversation usually centers around major teams in North America and Europe.
From time to time, players from minor regions will get a chance to shine when big-name teams take a risk and put their resources into developing and supporting the region. Unfortunately, these investments don’t always pay off.
From poor results to a lack of interest from the fans, there are a number of factors that could lead to failure. But sometimes, failure stems from individual players not appreciating the opportunity they’ve been given and doing something very very stupid.
This is the story of one such situation involving one of the world's biggest organizations in esports, Optic Gaming, and the Indian Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene.

Seeing 2nd world and even 3rd world countries compete in E-Sports can be so beneficial to their representation. The more young people see other countries interested in the same thing they are, the more tolerant and understanding they can be of their culture. So to see this kind of shit is just so depressing.

@@Kreze202 Because everyone have aimbots and wall hacks, they know that they can't peak recklessly. Whatever they have is also available to everyone else. Basically, no different than a clean tournament where the only difference between the players would be skills and knowledge since everything that is available in the game is also available to every players. The focus would be the build instead of instead small tricks like jumping to avoid shots. The only difference in a cheat tournament is that the organizers don't have to spend money and time to prevent cheating.
In you analogy of self-driving car, the skill would be map reading, knowing where you can overtake other drivers and setting your car that even if you didn't drive it, it will be faster and better at navigating curves just because your car is better. That is why in F1 racing, there drivers ranking and constructors ranking. In a self-driving race, it would lean heavily on constructors category with the drivers being more like navigators in rally race.

@@13gan Then you're completely missing the point of these games. CS GO is a shooter game. Shooting people is the main point of the game, and therefore, the main skill to acquire. Taking away the main skill aspect is taking away the point of the game in the first place. Same goes with racing, the point of it is to, among other things, determine who the best racer is. Taking away the racing aspect makes it a mind game instead of racing.
Take another analogy, for example. A cooking competition where world famous chefs make the dish for the contestant and all the contestants have to do is dress the dish up. Then it's not a cooking competition, it's a goddamn dressing up food competition.

Many mice and keyboards have programs you can load into them, and players almost always bring their own mouse and keyboard to tournaments so they can have the same comfort on the peripheral devices they practiced with (and also for sanitary reasons since no one would want to share mouse and keyboard with a bunch of other sweaty dudes).
Not saying this is the case here, but it is possible. Again, the organizer should be testing these equipment and/or having monitoring software to make sure the mouse and keyboard that players brought to tournament are not loaded with malicious software.
