I have to admit, I'm a little confused. Why is silver overpriced? In the long run, rising prices are part of most stackers' strategy. It's an insurance policy against inflation, meaning rising prices. So when you say silver is pricey, do you mean in nominal terms or real terms? Are you factoring in that there is panic buying driving up the price and prices will normalize after the lockdowns end? Do you expect a deflationary period where silver will lose its luster? I think some of your viewership may see a $20/oz as too expensive and without having a strategy or taking into consideration the factors I listed above and they may never buy above $20. To borrow an investing phrase, the 52 week high now may be the 52 week low next year... just meaning we never know when the bottom or top is in. May be you can give your insight as how you value an ounce, such as its purchasing value, an ounce is equal to 3 cheeseburgers at Wendy's. I'll post this on Yankee's video too. Maybe you two can to a high level collaboration of how to value gold/silver.

5 oz is very respectable, 5 more than the herd. It is the foundation on which you will build and watch it grow. Slow and steady, you don't need hyper drive and get burnt out. Set those 5 oz aside and keep. You will look back and say I can't believe I started with these five. It's a journey, not a race. It also shows you respect yourself by taking responsible action.
I got into stacking after watching The Curse of Oak Island. The thought of treasure hunting took over my mind. I knew the chances of that ever happening were very small, so I decided to build my own.

Thanks for sharing your story bro. I started attacking around October of 2019. So about 7 months now. I hope to one day have a stack as big as yours my friend.
I need to do a full stack video one day . That’s going to be hard to do . I have literally stacked about 100 oz a month for 6 months plus about 1oz gold a month for 6 months . Wow! When I think about it that’s crazy . Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences dragons. Always something to learn from you !
Only junk silver I have is what my dad left me… some half-dollars and 5 old silver dollars. When it comes to stacking silver, I’m strictly 0.999 fine silver. Mostly bars but also about 50 oz in coins & rounds.
Great story brother! You touched on one thing i know i can improve on, and that is about buying bullion instead of collectable pieces. I have been buying ALOT of collectables. After hearing you in this video, i am going to switch gears and try to build up my bullion stack. But you know what it's like when you see a piece that absolutely cathes you eye...you just "Gotta have it!!" Thank you for this video.
I love your channel SD! It’s an honor to support you. You’ve taught me so much. And considering I live very close to you in Vancouver WA... it’s nice to be able to support a local guy.

when it comes to coins, I like the Britannia's. also being from the UK I figured it would be the safest bet, besides those ill be stacking bars if I can get my hands on any.
Watching your videos inspired me to start stacking. Just bought my first 3 silver coins recently. I'm from the Philippines, but currently in the UAE. I want to grow my silver coin stack while here because in my home country, there's not much bullion sellers available. Also, some online sellers from the US don't ship in the PH. I just hope that someday when I go home there won't be any problem carrying lots of silver coins in the airport. I guess I just need to do a little research on the maximum allowable precious metals to carry. I also don't know if it's easy to liquidate bullion in my country, but I don't worry much as there's always eBay where I can sell this stuff if I need to do so someday.
I’m up to 22,000 oz. I’ve really thought about making a channel but I’m too lazy to do any more “production value” than holding my phone in one hand and then uploading the raw output to RUclips
Awesome! Thank you for sharing your journey!! And keep stacking any wya you can! I know I am and will continue. And thank you for your hard work on your YT channel I look forward to more awesome content!!
Great video, thanks for making this. I will probably watch it again over time as it resonates with me. Also good to see Platinum getting some mentions out there as i don't usually hear any of the RUclipsrs talk much about it but it is positioned right between Gold and Silver price wise and is definitely another great precious metal.

Just watched this video and it made me feel alot better about some things lol I am also that guy at work that saves his cans also to buy silver. Before my grandma passed away she taught me the value of silver because she was born right after the the great depression and all of us never had wealth but she had a small silver stack and I thank God she showed me and exposed me to the knowledge of it. But anyways yeaaa... I am the can guy at work too lol
I have 103.4 kilograms of junk and bullion silver. Then add my slabs. Its a sizable amount. So glad you hit 1,000ozt. I think my first silver coin was a 1989 ASE or an 1878 cc morgan.
I just found your channel, it sounds like I am currently where you were those years ago...I don't have much, but I am slowing growing the stack. I totally agree about the gold coins, government minted is the way to go for sure. Junk silver is my favorite, by far! I honestly can't ever see myself buying generic rounds, just doesn't interest me too much. I would like to eventually collect a set of Silver Eagles, but beyond that I'll stick to junk silver coins Cool video, now I have a lot of your other videos to watch.
1 month later: ...then three more 5 oz bars, then two 10 oz bars, then another four 1 oz bars, then another gram of gold, then a 5 gram gold bar. SEND HELP
I bought my very first 1oz bar from money metal exchange. I only did a 1oz bar to see if it'll be fake or not and test it before big purchases. I'm to paranoid for that. Lol its supposed to be here tomorow and I have been bing watching yoyr videos and some others like Yankee stackers this last week none stop. I can not wait to have a nice stack. I do want the james bond diamond arnt forever not to sell but to keep for myself and pass on
I have a bin set up at work too for my cans. I call it my "retirement account". The kids there laugh because they don't get the bigger picture. They do seem intrigued every time they see me looking at my new purchases from my LCS that I hit on the way in every time they walk in on me looking at it. Hmm. 🤔
Cool and congratulations to get on the 1000 oz!! Maybe a weird question, but what or how it takes to start a silver shop? You gotta contact the mints? The local gold dealer here sells nice gold coins...but for silver only bars. Bullion coins all i bought here in belgium is online...I think if there would be a physical silver shop selling coins it would get more easily the appreciation that silver deserves in my opinion.
most of the bullion dealers are pretty hush hush on that... they all have their sources but some probably do but directly from the mints... I know some don’t 🔥🐉
@@Chrisinsocal I believe as we stack there will be a sequence of selling. The easiest to sell on up markets for me would be the bars. The easiest to replace in the future on down markets would be the bars. If on an up market I want to continue to sell I would move on to rounds for the same reason. The last would be coins. I don't own any junk silver yet because I am not paying the premiums for junk that I am seeing right now. I am not a collector or a numismatist or a flipper.
Same here. I'll hold on to sovereign coins (a monster box) for future insurance (for the prepper in me), but the bars will be flipped at the right price ($50, $75, $100?). I have all sovereign coins for gold, but the full oz coins will be sold first, and the fractionals will be kept. The same logic; gotta keep a core prepper stash just in case.
My first ounce of silver was because your video that popped up my feed recommended from RUclips! That's not blowing smoke ether! After that it was game on! I also watched Silver5150, SilverGameofThrones, Florida Stacker and Yankee! But your the one that gave me the bug!
@@SilverDragons47 Well my understanding was that junk silver only refers to 90% silver dimes, quarters, and half dollar coins and doesn't include silver dollars as they're typically a separate category on all the bullion websites.
I personally like the word collection not investment because stacking is basically investing. Buy what you like and enjoy. You will lose money if you do it for an investment.
Hoping to hit the 1000 oz probably 2022 depending on the prices and I suppose how other assets perform. It's a great story well done for persevering! I started mine this year and so far around 250-300 oz silver and about 8.5oz gold. Haven't got any 'junk' silver actually I think it is less common in the UK compared to US stackers but it is out there and I'd get some sure!
If you had to choose do you think holding silver is smarter than holding stock? If you had $100 would you buy silver to throw it at Tesla (or something else). Appreciate you reviewing your journey. I just started stacking a few weeks ago. Glad I did so before the craze.
My goal is 1000 toz. I did the same thing with the cans, but we do 5 cents per can in nys. People will look at you funny and laugh. I now have quite a bit now and am doing well financially.. who’s laughing now?
Im a bit confused about the American coins. Im VERY new to purchasing silver, I feel like the lower silver content in USA coins is a massive negative. Why would they be a better or even equal to a coin or round with a higher silver content? I enjoy the vids, thanks !

I would like to eventually collect a set of Silver Eagles, but beyond that I'll stick to junk silver coins Cool video, now I have a lot of your other videos to watch.
You're a huge inspiration. Thanks!!!
I just bought my first ounce of silver. Then another 4. Then a 5 oz bar. Then a gram of gold and a gram of platinum. NOBODY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE SO FUN
1 month later:
...then three more 5 oz bars, then two 10 oz bars, then another four 1 oz bars, then another gram of gold, then a 5 gram gold bar. SEND HELP
Exactly how I started. Now, instead of a candy bar or soda at the vending machine, I see a silver oz I could possibly buy.
I do want the james bond diamond arnt forever not to sell but to keep for myself and pass on
Well done..quite a treasure trove you have
Wait I’m sorry how in the world did you get a 1 oz American gold eagle for $142???? Amazing find!!!
I caught that too, I think he really had meant to say 1/10 oz.
Robert Willauer yeah you’re correct I think
Haha my brain autocorrected him to the 1/10 lol I never even caught the 1 ounce
lol even when I reviewed it I didn’t realize I said 1 ounce lol 😂😂😂🔥🐉
That's quite a respectable stack...congratulations!
thanks so much my friend! 🔥🐉
From 1 Oregonian to another Great Job and keep it up
thanks so much my friend! 🔥🐉
Bars are in my sell first pile.
Why? I was asking that question on my channel a while back. Why are coins preferable? I’m interested
The same logic; gotta keep a core prepper stash just in case.
yep let em go 😂 save the best for last 🔥🐉
My first ounce of silver was because your video that popped up my feed recommended from RUclips! That's not blowing smoke ether! After that it was game on! I also watched Silver5150, SilverGameofThrones, Florida Stacker and Yankee! But your the one that gave me the bug!
wow that is awesome!!! welcome to the community 👍🏽 it’s crazy how that happens 😁🔥🐉
Great Video!
I think old silver dollars should be a major priority as well.
right like the junk silver I suggested? 😏🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 Well my understanding was that junk silver only refers to 90% silver dimes, quarters, and half dollar coins and doesn't include silver dollars as they're typically a separate category on all the bullion websites.
Great job Dragon.
A thousand ounces....WOW!
Hey man it's like Johnny Cash said one piece at a time and it never cost me a dime you'll know it's me when I come to your town
Appreciate the honesty in videos new subscriber here
I personally like the word collection not investment because stacking is basically investing. Buy what you like and enjoy. You will lose money if you do it for an investment.
My first ounce was a 1907 French Piastre.
I tried a little of everything and have decided 1 ounce is best ounce!
Love those dimes 🤓 Love the story! Thanks SD!
yes some are from you 😁 thanks for watching my friend!!! 🔥🐉
You have to mention the golden indian head/buffalo... So nice for the 1 ozt.
I know I need one 😁🔥🐉
If you had to choose do you think holding silver is smarter than holding stock? If you had $100 would you buy silver to throw it at Tesla (or something else).
Appreciate you reviewing your journey. I just started stacking a few weeks ago. Glad I did so before the craze.
My goal is 1000 toz. I did the same thing with the cans, but we do 5 cents per can in nys. People will look at you funny and laugh. I now have quite a bit now and am doing well financially.. who’s laughing now?
lol exactly my thoughts!!! who cares what they think 😏🔥🐉
Great stacking story!
👍⚪👍 thanks for sharing your journey with silver 🎯🎆🎇🔥🤑
thanks so much my friend! 🔥🐉
Dude that badass you live in Oregon
Im a bit confused about the American coins. Im VERY new to purchasing silver, I feel like the lower silver content in USA coins is a massive negative. Why would they be a better or even equal to a coin or round with a higher silver content? I enjoy the vids, thanks !
