As soon as you complain, they start planning your exit. HR is not your friend, they are serving the company’s legal interest. Record everything and expect the worst conspiracy they may master. Starting a tribunal claim may actually secure your position and then you can still start a grievance.

What is there is no HR Or any chance Union ? And the director of the company itself is abusive ??? And the next in line to him as well was verbally abusive ??? Should I write a without prejudice letter to the director of the company ? And expect an exit package?

Geetha Shree N yes. But then be prepared to issue an Acas pre conciliation certificate then go to tribunal. It’s difficult with small companies where the boss is abusive
