- A slightly different one this week. My Axolotls had babies and I’ve only had them a week 😍 Mum is missing a foot and her gill flowers, and once hatching they apear to be dead 🤦🏼♂️ but apparently that can be common. Im not convinced, but time will tell.
I also give a shout out to a fellow RUclipsr whose knowledge on fresh and saltwater is next level. @australianaquarist

My saying is that a “true aquarist disregards the salinity line”! There’s amazing life in fresh, salt and everything in between.
Axolotls were the first animal I kept in an aquarium as a kid. Amazing animals, not exactly dynamic in personality, but interesting nonetheless. You’ll have to have a crack at stimulating their metamorphosis into adult salamander form

I did attempt it many years ago before I got into saltwater. With iodine and easing water temp. But I had a heater malfunction and cooked the poor things.
I love playing with salinity. That’s how I quarantine after my peroxide treatment. Bring salt fish down to 1.009 over a few days. 👌🏽 have learnt that the hard way.

@@SaltWaterSteve1 went to a coral expo thing yesterday , Trinnie & Pat from Canada (fragbox wholesalers friends), Than from Tidal Gardens , Tony Vargas, Jeremy Gay from reef builders & the legend from the uk Dr Jamie Craiggs plus I won a brand new apex on the raffle which I’m still buzzing about (result! 🎉) & all proceeds go too the mental health charity Minds .
