- Sometimes the proximity sensor does not darken the screen when the top of the phone is covered (especially when making a call). This also happens sometimes after replacing the screen with a new one. There is a surprisingly simple solution to this problem that does not require the entire camera/proximity flex cable to be replaced. Watch the video and find out.

What a hell! It actually worked! I dropped my LG G5 into water dried it with hot air I thought water or to hot air damaged proximity sensor. Tried cleaning couple times tried reseting phone tried apps that didn't show anything. I thought well it is what it is I damaged it. And then I saw this video. I don't know why it worked because my glass was clean but I scratched it painted with a permanent marker and put parts together. It works now. Thank you very much sir.

Worked great with my iPhone 6 screen replacement. I thought I had damaged the sensor when moving it to the new screen. It seems that the screen inner black paint is not ok for the sensor to work. Great tip. Thanks.
What about when the sensor is so sensitive that even the clear plastic covering of your case activates it during a phone call or voice recording? BTW the screen was replaced and then the aforementioned happened.

I am having an issue with iPhone 7 proximity sensors after screen replacements.
It may be the screens are defective if they cause the sensor to stop working...
But I've been told that if the sensor was blocked, the sensor would be going off constantly, rather than not go off?
By the way, I do agree with the advice to not play music while speaking on the video. Also, the music has these sudden loud notes, so it's not optimal :)
Just changed out my iPhone 6s Plus screen from white to black. Proximity wouldn’t work so I grab a replacement on eBay. The same thing is going on screen doesn’t go blank when I cover up camera. I may have to try this fix.

Does the Proximity Sensor have to be placed in the IPhone SE perfectly for it to work?

Tried this Fix, didn´t work for me in first place because I took too much of the black marker, tried it a second time with scratching off the marker and applying only a thin layer which is continuous dark but also transparent and now it works perfectly fine!

after repairing my screen, my screen rotation is not working i think rotation sensor is gone or Compass sensors and gyroscope sensors are damaged. also my compass dosent work can i replace sensors or tell me what i have to do
you fucked up the screws from the metal bracket that holds the flex cables in place. 1 of them is non-magnetic and they are all different sizes. I did the same. You can try removing the top right screw

i got a replacement and it's actually completely covered..and my phone keeps restarting every time im in a call although everything checks out. and turns off when i take a video, but not during anything else. any advice??

Yes it works for all iPhones. I did it before after changing a 6s screen Rose gold.
Dude I ordered a display from ebay ....I got it ....and tried to replace so removed my iPhone 6 and checked the display ,,,its working but unsatisfied with the quality ,,,so replaced the old cracked display...Now my proximity and touch id sensors aren't working .....Please give me a solution....
Make sure you connected the home button properly to the cable on the frame of the front screen. If the connector is damaged from you prying it off the old screen to put on the new one, you can actually change that connector by itself. The Touch ID sensor cannot be changed but that cable if damaged can be changed and still give you Touch ID function. Does the home button work or is it just Touch ID? In regards to the proximity sensor just use a black sharpie and make a circle right where the proximity sensor rests which is the little black hole in the middle of the display. Let me know if this helps.
Thanks a lot for that but it didn't help me .Plz can u tell me the reason for use of marker for proximity sensor...I checked without installing to my screen it is working perfect ...but if i install to screen its not working..i followed the same procedure in the video..And other thing is with my touch id .I carefully removed all the cables but i don't know what went wrong.....

I Have seen 5 Other videos and this is what they say 👇
1)Install some proximity sensor repair app to re calibrate it. This works for few people.
2) This video says to Turn off proximity sensor in your MI call app settings and reboot and turn it on and SOLVED. that's it 😉😉😉
3) If you are one of few unlucky people that above two didn't help you then most probably your sensor has Hardware Issue that only experts at service can look after.
So Hope you got your sensor working well ☺️

a simple trick.just short the calling sensor with board ground its 1 point and other point separately while phone on and enjoy sensor disable forever.schreen never black while calling 100% working
