    I was really happy to hear your comments about these three 3D printers.
    At my work, we are using the Raise Pro 2 and we are happy with it. It's true that Ideamaker slicer is very complete but a little bit complicated for a beginner.
    But now after six months of using and after some mistakes, we realize that we have done the right choice.
    The slicer preview is really good and if you are patient you can detect your mistake before launching your part.
    Thank you for this very good comparative. Good video and bravo for your English.

    Having used both the M300 Dual and Rasie3D Pro2 extensively, the Raise comes out the best. M300 Dual has built in reliability issues. - It occasionally (every 5 to 30 hours) offsets the layers causing the print to fail. It also has a built in limitation on layer height with 0.14 as the minimum, which really is not acceptable in a supposedly high end printer.
    The Raise has become our preferred workhorse. Higher print-quality, very robust, more versatile, more adjustable.

    Great review .. looks like Raised 3D is the winner overall ... Looking at the costs those printer cost equally to a hatchback car ... I mean comparing to a car this printers should cost 100 to 200 bugs only . I mean a car has so many parts assembled together and much complicated ... comparing to these 3d printers which are so simple ... hope soon the prices will be more realistic ... jus my thought

      Economies of scale and large demand for cars is large reason why cars can be much cheaper. I feel you tho.

    Thank you very much for this very thorough comparison of these “prosumer” models! After watching it, however, I have to wonder why it appears there is a “waste tower” in the Raise3D print? Since this is a dual extruder machine and only 2 materials are being used, shouldn’t that eliminate the need for the waste? I did not see waste towers on the Ultimaker and Zortrax prints, but maybe I missed them?

    • @ThomasTomiczek
      @ThomasTomiczek 4 года назад

      Yeah. Just watching it firs time and first time they show a print on the Zortrax there IS A TOWER AND IT IS MENTIONED. So, false statement.

      BTW, the Raise 3D seems to be the "winner", as least for me needs, and from what I can tell from the review. I'm not a fan of completely closed/proprietary systems, so Zortrax is not appealing. And, though Ultimate is known for quality, it is perhaps overpriced, and uses Cura, which is OK, but certainly not as good as Ideal Maker.

    What they Don't say about the ultimaker S5: It's a push extruder, making it highly prone to filament jams and nasty prints with flexible filament. It's fan assembly is held on by small magnets, if the print head snags during a toolpath, the fan assembly can open up allowing the extruders to fill it with material. If this is not monitored it can destroy the print head, there are no sensors to prevent this.

    Seems like the standard warranty for the Ultimaker is far superior to the standard, limited warranty offered by Raise3D. Does anyone have experience with problems and the company response to fix the problem?

    • @AlTheEngineer
      @AlTheEngineer 4 года назад

      Honestly, what will you ever need the warranty for? You can replace almost anything on that printer yourself. very easy to take apart with basic house tools. They sell all the required replacement parts on their website.

      @@AlTheEngineer But it's not on the box! Haha a little Tommy Boy humor. I pulled the trigger on a Pro2 a couple of weeks ago and could not be happier. From packaging to first print everything was absolutely perfect. Coming from a Stratasys background I was worried that I would be let down, but I was wrong. For anyone on the fence about the Pro2 I would highly recommend it. Great printer.

      Yes that is correct. The system of the leveling is not a long lasting one. And when the nozzle hits the bed because of these problems, the printer additionally can damage the nozzle... So always keep a spare build plate nearby the printer...
