Steel Assault (Switch) arcade mode clear - 1CC

Took me longer than I'd expected, but the leeway for mistakes in this mode is incredibly small.
From the stage 2 boss onwards, there are NO healing items in the game, and no healing between stages either, so you got one health bar to complete the game on, and only the occasional shield to tank damage.
I'm not proud of how I handled large parts of this run, but fatigue from multiple attempts in a row that ended at the final boss, had me just tumbling through most of the parts I knew I could recover from anyway. Stage 1 is obviously the easiest stage in the game, but you also get plenty of chances to heal. The real arcade mode doesn't start until Captain Balthazar Kline :)
Steel Assault is one of my favourite releases of 2021, really only challenged by the magnificent Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection. Be sure to support the developers and buy the game on the Switch eShop or Steam!
