Seriously blown away by how well this budget camera monitor performs up against ones twice to three times the price! The Lilliput H7 surprised me with its 7-inch display and excellent features for such a low price.
It does lack a few features like anamorphic de-squeeze and solid build quality, but with the Camvate cage, this thing is a beast for budget filmmakers!

If you apply power to the DC input does the monitor automatically turn on, or do you need to press the power button?

Interesting. I have one and I just can't handle how the image shows. I have either tons of banding or the image is flat as heck when I compare it with my URSA G2 monitor. It's been collecting dust in the bottom of my drawer for the past month. I'll have to see if there is a setting I messed up.

Are you outputting a Rec709 image or using the LUT on the monitor?

Great, informative review! I think I'm going to try this monitor out for a Bcam. Dumb question, can you charge the battery while its attached via the power adapter? Or have to buy a charger seprately?

Hey Andrew, Thanks for the video man. I'm looking for a monitor that can record the back LCD screen of my Mirrorless Camera. I'm finding it very difficult to find options. Can you recommend anything that isn't the Atamos Ninja? Cheers.
Hey! It's hard to find a monitor/recorder that isn't part of the atomos series sorry! They are probably your best bet
@@AndrewMurphyFilms thanks mate. The Atamos is a bit big for what I need and will need I think plus the SSD is a financial investment all on its own. I found the Vaxis atom A5 Monitor which I post in case others ask the same and you have another option to point them in 👍 thanks for your response.
What's the colour like on the monitor screen? I have a Lilliput 5 and the profile seems quite flat when shooting say natural profile
Colour is great :) Matches the camera screen really closely.
colors suck, don't waste your money on it.

Guys, it is the worst monitor in the world, if you wanna have troubles with awful colors - buy it.
If somebody gifted me this piece of sh%, I would never take it.
It’s a cheap monitor. It’s never going to be perfect. But if you are on a budget and want a 7” monitor. There isn’t many other options like this
