    💡 07:18 Summary
    The Lilliput H7s boasts a 1920x1200 IPS panel with excellent color accuracy and viewing angles. With a peak brightness of 1800 nits, it's more than capable of handling bright outdoor shooting environments, and it also supports up to 1200:1 contrast ratio, allowing for greater depth and detail in images.
    This makes it ideal for use in bright outdoor environments or for HDR content, which it also supports for ST2084 300/ST2084 1000/ST2084 1000/HLG.
    The Lilliput H7s also allows users to upload 3D LUTs via USB. Additionally, it accepts both SDI and HDMI inputs up to 30p, and it outputs both SDI and HDMI as well.
    As a user of the Sony camera system, I was excited to discover that the Lilliput H7s comes with several built-in LUTs for converting Slog2 and Slog3 to Rec709 color space. It's a great feature. However, it's a bit disappointing that the built-in LUTs are only for Sony cameras, and not for cameras from other manufacturers like Blackmagic, Canon, or RED.
    One issue I've noticed when using LUTs on the H7s is that applying a LUT changes the histogram metering. This can make it difficult to properly expose shots, and it's something that my Atomos Shinobi monitor doesn't have an issue with. It would be great if Lilliput could address this issue with a software update.
    The build quality of the Lilliput H7s is somewhat questionable as it's made of plastic and feels like it could easily break with minimal force. However, despite this, it feels like it's made with precision and attention to detail. The ports are stiff and rugged, and there's no flex or give when connecting cables. The buttons are tactile and clicky, which is a nice touch.
    One great thing about this monitor is the mounting options. It has a 1/4 inch screw mount on each side, which is perfect for rigging it to your camera or mounting it onto a tripod. This gives you a lot of flexibility when setting up your shot.
    In conclusion, the Lilliput H7s is a fantastic monitor that offers impressive features and specs at an affordable price point. If you're looking for a reliable and high-quality camera monitor for your SDI camera, the Lilliput H7s is definitely worth considering.

    Does it do 1080 50p IN and OUT? And can you go SDI IN and then HDMI out? Thanks for the great video

      @ThisisnotTwitter Месяц назад

      You won't get internal conversion between different signal types in any cheaper monitors like these.
      To use the SDI out you will only get what is going on the SDI in. Same for the HDMI. They will l be separate.

    My monitor is brighter than my LCD by like 4 stops. Is there a way to match it? I'm using this monitor and an Ursa mini G2

    • @tiedtkeio
      @tiedtkeio  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yes! In the menu you can lower the backlight to something like 20% and it should match better. 🙂🙏

      @tiedtkeio Thamk you. So if I'm outside and need the brightness at 100, how would I accurately monitor the exposure?

    • @tiedtkeio
      @tiedtkeio  9 месяцев назад +2

      @@joshdiditt There's a histogram feature and a false color feature in the monitor that accurately shows you the exposure! 🙂
