If you have been loyal to Boyd for 20 years than you must miss Seafood night. The Hawaiians ate a lot of crab legs on Tuesday and Friday nights. The good old days before Covid.
This is one of the buffets my husband and I frequent most. You're right, it's a good "budget" buffet. Decent food, and like you, I think the building is charming. We used to love to go to the buffet at the M Resort, too, when we were on that side of town, but I don’t think they reopened it after the pandemic, which is a shame, although I think Anthony's at the M does a Sunday brunch buffet, if I am not mistaken. Haven't tried that yet. Thanks for the review. We like the Main Street Station buffet.
It is across the street, technically, behind The California hotel. It's an open air lot, not a garage, but it has a large Main Street Station sign saying free parking. The lot where I parked is paid, unless you are Boyd sapphire or above and they will validate it for you.
This is my favorite cheap buffet there, mainly because I'm from Hawai'i and always stay at The Cal haha. I agree, I'm sad that the Fremont got rid of their Paradise Buffet and made a food court. We would always choose the buffet that was doing their prime rib or seafood night between the two haha. I do feel Sam's Town had the best Boyd buffet but I'm not sure if that still exists. Thanks for sharing.
The Sam's Town Buffet is still sitting unused... possibly awaiting a return?? They would have the only Buffet on Boulder Highway if they reopen it. I do *not* miss the Fremont buffet, however. The dining room was a vibe, but the food selection was...
My wife liked it when it was Rosie O'Grady's. Ate here many times. The Great Buffett at Sam's Town was very good too. They never had a buffett at the California. I ate here quite a few times. Also at the restaurant that is part of the brewery which I don't think they have anymore.
Nice video Mike! Me and my family are leaving to Vegas tomorrow and might try this out! Thanks for posting all of these different review videos.
Thanks for watching! Enjoy your trip!
Thanks for sharing! We haven't tried their buffet, yet. Appreciate your honest review!
Thanks for watching! I enjoy your channel!

Sams Town was my main haunt. I absolutely miss those days.
I've also been eating at this buffet for decades. The room is beautiful!
Ahhhh that ice cream section! Yehaw! lol I wanna go with you to do a buffet review! I'll help with the things you aren't eating 😁
Sounds like a plan!!

Where is the free parking at main street?

Used to go there 2008-2011 and buffet was fabulous on Sunday brunch and under $10! Delicious then.
Honestly, the only thing that has changed since then is the price!

That brewery is still there! Great pub/restaurant! Thanks for watching!
I went for the breakfast/brunch last monday and it was pretty bad. Food was not very good.
Brunches are often hit or miss. That's why I was surprised to find the Palms was better at Brunch than at dinner.
The crappiest buffet ever!!!
You clearly never went to the buffet at Terrible's...

Worse than the MGM buffets (Excalibur, MGM Grand, and Luxor)? Even the Bellagio buffet can be bad given the high price-point.
