This video was directed by Angelina's grandmother Mery Zamani. It is thought to have been shot at some salt flats in southern California (Angelina lives part of the year in LA) "Fly me to the moon" is kind of a "signature song" for Angelina. It is one of the few that I have seen her sing at all different ages through her career. This song was originally arranged by Quincy Jones. Later in the list you will be seeing Angelina rehearsing this song to perform it for Quincy at his 85th Birthday celebration in London's O2 arena.
I have enjoyed your reaction and completely agree with you about live performances. I absolutely prefer Angelina when sings live and feel the incredible capability to connect with audience and became the focus. Only Angelina and the music... Nothing else. I've just heard two great standards from Her " loving you" at Sandefjord and "something gotta hold on me" both live with huge audiences. Absolutely stunning. Check them out. Cheers and stay safe
Given a preference of course a Live performance is better, especially from her since she never misses any notes. I have a sneaking suspicion Angelina has if not perfect pitch, something close to it. She might start a note off a bit so she can slide up to a note for effect. But with a video you get the best of both worlds. Something interesting to look at and a vocal you know she could do as well if she were live. She is one of a very few that you can say that about. Quincy Jones invited her to sing at his 85th birthday concert. He was very impressed with Angelina's singing of this song since it was his arrangement, he originally wrote it for Frank Sinatra. After spending some time with Angelina and hearing her sing, he thought she was one of the best vocalists he had heard since Michael Jackson. He was quite taken with her. This is the song she sang for him. There is a video of it. While it is not the best you still get to hear her, and that's better than not hearing her. Check Rusty's list for a direct link. Even if you don't do a reaction to it, you should definitely check it out. I would have recommended it over this one just because it is live (which, like me, you say you prefer), though of course her singing is wonderful in both.
