    i had the same issue and I thought maybe a slim chance I flooded the engine, but I didn't it was the pressure sensor the whole time lol codes said it was the fuel pressure regulator on top of the high fuel pressure fuel pump or the canister purge valve oh crap thank God for this video!! got the part on order now!

      Correction in had a bad low pressure fuel pump instead of running 80-90 psi I was only running 20-30 psi driving so yeah thats why it kept stalling and causing a no start

    Hello mate, nice content and too brave to test the fuel delivery this way, but like you said, you got to do what you got to do when there is no other way,,, quick question, whats the logic behind that wine noise you mentioned when disconnecting the HP sensor on top the hpfp, is it starvation/cavitation from the hpfp running at 100% without modulation? Appreciate your comments, cheers!!

  • @chrismaki1639

    You can read and high and low pressure data on this engine with a capable scanner. You can also monitor how hard the high pressure pump is working which indicates the health of the low pressure pump.

    great lesson here, wow I'm surprised at how much fuel the LP pump delivers to the HPFP, 125mLs seems to be a lot. Hmmm shame on you Audi, you need to have a shrader valve on the Low and High sides for this exact testing, my Ford truck has a shrader valve on the fuel rail and I just did a fuel pump check and my submersible pump was dead, I dropped the tank and replaced the fuel pump and boom I had 40psi on the fuel rail, truck is back on the road. Great video, props bro you are really putting some awesome videos out and everything is a great learning tip - thank you

      Bad cats usually throw misfire codes or O2 codes to let the driver know there's an engine problem. Catalytic converters don't communicate with the ECU so the next best thing for the cat to flash would be the O2 sensor on the cat.

After I got home my daughter’s nap. Supposed to pick up my son from soccer class. I was hoping my car starts right away! BUT nope. Back to the long cranking again! So anyone got any suggestions what should I replace or work on next step?? Appreciate it guy!

I replace the injectors and one of the coils and the check engine light went away it drove fine for about 10 minutes and then it started choking out and dumping bunch of smoke again. Any thoughts?

    • @babelonchabalala1690
      @babelonchabalala1690 Год назад

      hi.....did u find the cause of the smoke?.....Im working on a VW Polo 1.2 TSI 2014......White smoke came from the exhaust but didnt smell like oil much....smelled little bit of fuel though......car had several issues......
      1) The turbocharger was jammed or turned too slowly beacause of the carbon and oil buildup causing oil to leak into the exhaust and intake manifold....took an entire day to disassemble and clean everything
      2) Car also had misfire on cylinder 2 and 3......replaced plugs and swapped ignition coils.....still did the same....in fact after a while car wont start at all anymore
      3) Suspected the HPFP was leaking fuel into the oil so I swapped that out as well.......still wouldnt start
      My next step would be to test the LPFP for flow and test the relays then swap that fuel rail pressure thingy.......if nothing works I guess Cylinder compression test is next
