I just started watching Russell's channel about 3 weeks ago and it took me all of a few minutes to realize the guy is brilliant. He is honest in this video and I think in the beginning he had all these shallow hosts nervous because he saw right through them instantly lol. Didn't like him years ago, but he's changed a lot and he's such a intelligent man and they couldn't hold a candle to him. He pretty much ran the entire interview without them knowing and handled himself so well. It's almost like a experiment in a way in how to handle yourself in a interview like that.
I love the shade he threw at them about the media without them picking up on it. Addressing them by name, maintaining eye contact, telling them to use proper manners in addressing him, giving them compliments so he definitely made them feel pretty comfortable.

I just started watching Russell's channel about 3 weeks ago and it took me all of a few minutes to realize the guy is brilliant. He is honest in this video and I think in the beginning he had all these shallow hosts nervous because he saw right through them instantly lol. As it went on and they referred to him in the third person it's almost as if they didn't have the character and skills to exchange words with him personally. That was a weird interview.
