- Performing this great song at Ocean City, NJ, July 16, 2012. Arlo tells a story of him and 93 year old Pete Seeger walking with two canes for the Occupy Wall Street movement.
The Guthrie Family Reunion Tour has begun with all of our kids and grand kids! Including Terry A La Berry on drums! Also, Johnny Irion, married to our youngest daughter, Sarah Lee.
We head out again in a few days.
Filmed and produced by Jackie Guthrie
Was lucky enough to be there for this performance in OCNJ. It was fabulous to say the least. And 2 days ago I was lucky enough to have Sarah Lee and Johnny just 30 minutes away in a small venue. From Woody to Arlo to Sarah, the music lives on in so many forms. Thanks Guthrie Family!
I just Love his Music he's so Awesome 🎶😎👍🎉😂
So very, very sad to hear of Jackie's passing. What a wonderful human.
Really cool Arlo... Such a great thing to see you and your family. Abe is always smiling. Everyone sounds great. Jackie, thanks for posting these vids. Big love to you all.
Beautiful, and so fitting! I saw Arlo and Pete in the Occupy parade, and it stirred a few tears, and more than a few memories, of those days back in the 60s.
Rest in peace, Mrs. G.
Condolences on the passing of your wife and mother, Guthrie family.

Sounds like the S/T of our lives in the Ks and of yesteryear.
I had the great fortune to be born to... my parents. Mom's great, and my dad... he's one of those "still waters run deep" boomers, the kind where all it took was a twinkle in the eye to know, hey, I did all right. He, in his quiet way, introduced me to all kinds of music, including folk. I didn't really realize it at the time, but I had the privilege of seeing Pete Seeger live, in London, in 1988, in a union hall, my father by my side. I'm a musician, and I thought I "got" all kinds of music. That intimate show in the "dodgy" side of London was my first exposure to the raw power of socially angry music. It was the first time I really FELT music being used to convey outrage and anger... and I didn't like it one bit. Sure, I'd heard all the "protest" music, ardent pop laments, punk rock, even the heart-tearing operatic arias from Monteverdi to Verdi, etc..., yet music remained beautiful, transcendent, above all the ugliness, warts, and blemishes (yes, somehow, even with the Sex Pistols). But that concert was heart-opening (after my initial offense).
all over again
I love you all so much.. Jimmy Hannumam
