Arlo is one of a hand of people who can speak authoritatively on the fascinating times of the later 60s - early 70s. I just love his storytelling, almost like a favorite uncle. I hope he is here forever!! ;)

I love Arlo and "City of New Orleans" is one of my all time favorite songs. I also love the Peter, Paul & Mary song "When the Ship Comes In" but never heard Arlo sing it til now.

What you said is completely relatable. We shall never cross this path again when music helped to make radical progress and change. Just listen to the words. The music is a secondary perk. 😎✌❤ see you in the next incarnation.

Thanks for the memories, Arlo. Born in the City of Angels during WWII and spent time in Tucson as a child, I was brought back to LA and able to go to so many venues here to hear and see amazing performances by giants in the world of music. Somewhere in a closet I have records of Dylan, Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Peter Paul & Mary, and other folksingers all of whom I've seen in concert. Great moments in my life that can never be taken from me, or my moral value system. We want to keep that light burning! :-)

In '64 I had a weekend job as a gardener in a big ol' house. I found that if I started to sing the whole album of 'Times are a changin' it was just the right amount of time to mow the tennis court. Happy times.

Arlo is literally the one individual who could duet seamlessly with Cousin Bob. Their voices and their delivery are perfectly connected.
Please both of you stay forever young.

One of the first songs I remember, having perhaps my first beer was Alice's restaurant, perhaps I heard a Beetles tune earlier, but I will never forget that moment, maybe a joint was involved, but the 60's were a great time. Thanks for being Arlo.

Arlo, I heard Comin' into Los Angeles way back in 1978 - sung by a high school kid (I too was a high school then) in Calcutta, India... and it's still a pleasure to hear you...thanks for all the music

No era of pop music has produced anything that can compare with the folk-rock music of the 60's-70's. Yes, of course it was commercial, but there was substance behind it, appealing to an indefinably shared culture. I was there then, and it still resonates near the end of my life.

that;'s really ironic since Arlo was a teen when Bob Dylan was hanging around their house learning to sing like Woody Guthrie, who was extremely ill with the brain disease that would claim his life too early. but yes, Arlo has some of that DYlan nasality and Minnesota twang here in ways we don't hear otherwise.

Mitcho-- You're not doing Arlo or us any favors by sharing such a poor-sounding recording.
