Going to Vegas for my honeymoon for about 4 days and needed this video. Lots of walking opportunities there, enjoy some guilt free food and I’ll have some drinks ❤❤❤

Yes! You’ve basically reaffirmed my vacation strategy. I recently spent a week in Europe. All the walking plus none of the snacking meant no change on the scale when I got home, and I didn’t pass up a single glass of champagne. Cheers!

Your channel has truly been a blessing to me. I’ve been yoyo dieting for years now and your truly has been a revelation to me when I eat more than I should to just get back on track instead of feeling guilty and and saying ‘f*ck it’

This video was great. And you posted it at the best time my wife and I just got back from vacation with a 7-9lb weight gain, but we did exactly what you said, just went back into the routine and back into the gym with positive results physically and more importantly meantally!! Thank you for the great content and the videos!!

I watched this video last night before bed and then I knew I had to respond first thing this morning. We went on a cruise last month and I didn't worry about any of the foods we ate. I ate without guilt, for the first time ever, and when we got home, I weighed the same. I was so excited to see the number on the scale and I want to thank you for that. For years you have talked about going on a vacation and just enjoying ourselves and it worked.

I'm getting ready to go on a month-long trip with very minimal opportunities to exercise (I'll be with my 80 yr old mom whom I never get to see, and she has very limited mobility). This could not have come at a better time!! Thank you so much. I'm going to go into it with a healthy mindset. I will not be able to walk a ton but I will still do what I can. Most importantly, I'll enjoy my mom!! I loved hearing about your trip to Israel and seeing some of the food.

Jordan- I am HUGE fan of yours!! I have struggled all my life with weight! Listening and putting in practice what you preach is a game changer for the mental game during my weight loss journey! We are going on vacation soon and this video and your suggestions are going to be used while I am on vacation! One more thing I may add during vacation is enjoy everything in moderation but also include veggies and drink lots of water!
    Thanks Jordan!

Definitely needed this 🥹 At the beginning of the year, I decided to plan a trip back home to NYC but I wasn't happy with my look. So I went to work.. I fly out next Friday and thankfully lost 43 lbs since January 8th (Intermittent fasting and 3 miles a day). I've been stressing how badly it will hit my progress but this video gave me the confidence to live in the moment. Now? I'm making a list of food spots 😂😂 ONLY IN NYC! lol cheers brother!

I love this! I'm going to Thailand with a Thai friend and she's got a list of food for me to eat going lol. I have a friend who's way too rigid with his diet (which makes him super miserable) and he took a trip to Japan and ate whatever, so I thought he was finally in a better place. He came back and immediately threw himself back into a super strict diet with no cheat meals. I went to hang out with him to hear about his trip, but he was super strict about where we could hang out because he couldn't have any cheat meals or snacks. It was so disappointing!!! Like, just slowly get back to your grind instead of just throwing yourself back into something that makes you miserable!!

I made so many mistakes going on past vacations. Either I would just not be able to relax and not really enjoy the vacation or I just would eat everything even foods I didn’t care for cause I thought well I am never going to have this again.
    Love the balance you bring.

We're all excited to move and be done soon so we can stop getting takeout so often. At the same time, we've enjoyed the time we've been spending together working on the house. We're in the home stretch! Pun intended!

Could you talk about what is the best body fat % for women ? For performance feeling our best and health? Thank you

    • @mcfarvo
      @mcfarvo Год назад

It varies depending on many factors, not least of them being something largely intractable: your genetics/epigenetics. Some women will thrive at 20-25%, others 23-28%, others maybe 30-35%, while some maybe as low as 15-19%BF, but we can be fairly confident most women will be struggling sub-10%BF and have really bad long-term health outcomes with 40%+

I'm travelling to Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore over the Christmas holidays and honestly, I'm nervous. To be without a gym for that whole time (I strength train 4 days a week) AND all the delicious food... I'm worried about what it's going to do to my physique goals (lose fat, gain muscle has been the last year!). I wish this video had calmed me down, but if I gain weight on holiday, I WILL care :(

Great video as always Jordon. I have a question on strength training , if anyone can weigh in their opinion that would be superb :)
So I have been doing strength training for about a month now and I feel very discouraged that my arms are not getting slimmer. In fact, it got bigger and I can't fit into some of my shirts. It gets very tight in the arm area. I understand the muscle is growing but at the same time I am aiming to have slimmer, leaner arms. Any thoughts from anyone would be amazing thank you.

It depends on what you consider a "vacation" or "trip" and how frequently that occurs for you and how long/duration...then also what phase of dieting you are currently in (maintain vs cut vs bulk), but generally I would say simply be reasonable and don't eat like a lab rat hits the "administer opioid" button!

    • @mcfarvo

I know people that view any time they leave the house as an opportunity to "eat like an asshole" whether that's donuts in the office, gas station around town, drive-through on a trip to the next town over for an errand, etc. Lol
