Brilliant idea to work down the majority of the grinding, I personally would do the same thing in a similar way but hand grind the last part using a small piece of glass/mirror as a perfect flat base with different bits of sand paper to ensure its as flat as possible. Plus when using a powertool to do this it maybe a idea to wait a couple minutes for the shims to properly cool down before measuring just because metal swells and etc. Seen a couple examples of people shaving too much before haha xD Anyway great video dude!
I had to use some ultra thin copper foil disks under a few that came out with a little too much gap but when it was all done she sounded like a sewing machine

I thought this was possible. I have some I'm taking to the local tech school to have them surface ground. ( save me money). Great vid.
