This is so smart. GEMA engines use this setup, and the fix used to be buying cam buckets of different thicknesses. You'll find them in the Evo X and Caliber SRT-4.
Looks like a great tool. I’m currently waiting for shims to correct the clearance in my 1fz-fe Landcruiser engine. It doesn’t use bucket shims but many other Toyota and Subarus I work on do use bucket shims. I’ll check it out on the site.
Volvo engine, just like the one I'm trying to do the same thing to but at home with a rotary tool, can't afford to pay for machine shop work or wait right now

How far can you grind in .mm? Are the shimless buckets through hardened or case hardened?
