Thank you, my friend has Smash and I recently started playing Steve. I’m a Smash noob and this is the only tutorial that I can understand. Now I can destroy him with Steve :)
Happy 2,000 subs! Just a couple of things: The only actual error: - Diamond actually has the same durability as iron...for some reason. Other things you could have added: - Each block has two decay speeds, one for on stage and one for off stage. If you stand on a block for more than 18 frames (0.3 seconds), the decay speed is sped up by ~5x. If the block connects to the block border, another multiplier is added. Might have been a bit technical for a fundamentals video but I think it's good to know. - Other mix-ups and such with Elytra, such as: Using it after a ledge get up to secure stage control, Elytra extension, etc. - In terms of resource management: Since stronger durability blocks are better in most scenarios, TNT is an excellent way to quickly get rid of lower value materials. This works best on stages like FD of Battlefield, since you can still get more dirt if you want it later. - You can also activate the pressure plate with D-Tilt and D-Smash, with D-Smash being the fastest way to trigger it without altering Steve's position (disregarding external items) Just a question: Do you think it would be nice if you can use normal rails with a tilt input, and powered rails with a smash input? I've been pitching this around but haven't had much success. Overall, great video! Concise editing, and a valuable rundown of Steve's mechanics. I am surprised you don't have more subs.

I have mained Ridley for the entirety of this game but I want a co main... (my secondary is Duck Hunt Duo)! Minecraft was basically my entire childhood and I love it dearly and want to co main Steve! Let me just say this guide is immaculate... well thought out and a great tutorial with shots from the game and it’s just well cut imo! Thank you for the guide and just wanted to give mad props for the quality of the guide
Steve is easier to get basic kills but his skill ceiling is basically limitless. So many 200 IQ plays you can make and a shit ton of flashy set up stuff. I love it.
For anyone that wants to know there are detain maps most common final destination where if Steve gets to a certain level underneath the stage he can use a mine cart and elytra and travel around the map
It is an injustice that this has so few views that this has so little views. Subbed. I’m showing this to my brother who is new to smash because he wants to play Steve. This will be good for him. Though a video for very beginners would be nice as well. Less emphasis on harder tech and more, “how can I beat my friend with Steve” which is what he’s trying to do. I’ll just tell him spam side b haha. Great video!
He does talk about the basics though, any more basic would just be smash bros fundamentals, unlike single player games smash bros doesn’t have a “method to win”, you just gotta be good at the game. I just realized that’s an old comment but still steve is a complicated character so there isn’t an “easy” way to effectively play as him.
bruh you are sooooo underrated. You are easy to listen to, have a nice voice, and your videos are beautiful..... dont give up youll get your reward some day
My friend got me to play smash with them, and since I had no idea who to pick I picked steve as a joke because funny minecraft guy and I do pretty well against them when they playing fast rushing characters.
Great video, although the diamond doesn't glow when it's ready to be used per say,it glows when you have and extra diamond, as you can hold two at a time
Great video for people just starting out with Steve, but I think you could have mentioned some of his recovery mixups, such as going under the stage and elytra extension
I don’t think I saw this in the video but there is a way to extend elytra. I guess that’s sort of a reminder for people who haven’t watched videos covering that. I don’t believe I saw it in your little section on it but just sort of a thing you can do if you wanna go even deeper for kills
This helped plenty. Only issue is that I somehow always suck at the recovery. If I’m facing the blast zone it never b-reverses for some reason, and when I’m facing the stage, set to recover, I somehow b-reverse and shoot into the blast zone. Any tips?
You forgot to mention that you can go on top of the tnt and detonate with down smash and then buffer dodge and you wont get hit cause the friendly fire hit zone is a few frames after hit detonates on the sides
Dude they should add an ability to create an iron golem with 4 iron blocks in a plus with a pumpkin it would act as an assist trophy and can be defeated. High damage, high launch, slow cant jump very high.
You just have to get the timing down with placing it as soon as the animation for the up air ends. It took me a little bit to get it right, so keep practicing!
i’m curious, is sh fair -> falling nair -> sh fair -> falling regular fair true? i’ve hit it a few times but i’m just curious if it’s character specific or something.
This guy is so easy to understand. He should teach how to play minecraft as a whole.
lol yea this felt like watching a basic minecraft tutorial

Skillcap is waay higher than you may think if you never played minecraft. You can watch big minecraft youtubers for context(I suggest Technoblade).

Congratulations on 4k, but How do you only have 4k? Your amazing at making videos! Keep working hard and thanks for the guides
