Traveling to Japan | Tokyo Masjid, Halal Ramen, Shibuya Crossing (Muslim Japan Travel)

- Our first full day in Japan was AH-mazing! We had sushi, halal ramen, 7/11 onigiri and more. We visited the Tokyo Camii Masjid and the Shibuya Crossing, and explored the streets, getting lost when we'd run for the train. Please stay tuned for all the other exploration we did during our trip -- seeing the cherry blossoms, visiting temples, eating more halal Japanese food like wagyu beef and soba noodles -- all the good stuff!

One of my dreams is to travel to Japan one day and seeing that it’s “muslim-friendly” makes me much more excited 😍 Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much!! Glad you enjoyed it and hope you will be able to visit Japan soon 🌿🤍
You really should.
I have been there three times now both for shorter and longer times, and it has been worth it every time.
@@MikkelMadsen :0 but can you help me with the dollars in Japanese? Like the 200 Y that's the hard dollar I've been trying to figure out :( I was there once but I don't understand the Yens so could u learn me?
@@withlovero ohhh like from Morocco Derham? Like it is 100 and for my country it is 10 Euros
@@withlovero Just a small correction, it's more like 100 Yen is about 1 USD. With current exchange rates, it's a little different, but for easy math it's simple to use this conversion instead.
The attention to detail, the cinematography---I'm already so in love. Can't wait to see more!
Thank you, love! 💕 More to come, inshaAllah!
I've always wanted to visit Japan but never thought about what it would be like as a Muslim! Thank you for sharing this beautiful video, makes me hopeful to go one day
Thank you for watching!! It was a lovely experience!
"It's so pure you can make wudhu with it." HAHAHAHHAAHHAH
Vabia Ayu amazing video 🔥🔥🔥
THANK YOU! so much for this, i as a hijabi am worried on how to travel in japan as a Muslim but this vlog really helped me calm my doubts and made me want to go to japan even more now:)
I hope you have an amazing time!!!
This is the most adorable vlog ever! Like Masha’Allah!!
Thank you!
We need more people like you! It was an inspiring insight you put together alongside the leading narrative on travelling as a Muslim. A topic that is very little covered. You put a block on the commercial narrative that it isn't all 'show skin and express a fake narrative of a luxurious lifestyle of the rich and famous'. Honestly, thank you for putting this out sister. You've inspired me to start my journey.
Dilly H thank you!! inshaAllah there is more to come.
The intro might have been one of the best intros I’ve ever seen. Mashallah keep up the great work
I dunno why but I LURRVVEEEE your videoooo esp this one on Japan, I feel like going there againnnn. Japan is so so so Muslim friendly!!!
The Studio ghibli music I'm dead
One of my dreams is to live in Japan one day! And seeing there are Mosques and Halal Food is great!
Aww yes it would be lovely!
I love your videos! You incorporate amazing cinematography, faith, and your own special flavor to make these videos so enjoyable! Mashallah, sister!
Thank you so much, Allahummabarak!
I had the same feeling my first day in Japan:
Golden light of the setting sun. Shadows dancing around the inside of the quiet train, on faces, luggage, empty seats, as it weaved its way above the city. The blue sky like home, but gazing below, the familiarity swiftly ends--the excitement of adventure begins.
It's nice that Japan has become more and more Muslim friendly (it's really all about getting more tourist $$, but I'm not complaining!)
Konbu onigiri is one of those small things I miss about Japan...a couple of those + a tamago sando (egg salad sandwich) was my go-to convenience store lunch.
I thiiiink I went to the same halal ramen place. I'm not much of a foodie, but that ramen was sooo enjoyable (and worth the long wait).
And I forgot the name of that brother in the masjid (I believe he gave the English khutbah...and the Turkish imam gave the Turkish and Japanese khutbah...anyways), but he was really nice to meet. Nice to know he's still there.
I met a number of people who knew more about Islam than I expected in Japan. I do not know the common conceptions (or misconceptions) of Muslims and Islam in Japan, but being my first time there, it felt like a really warm welcome. (I also thank my Japanese teachers for giving me foundational understanding of manners; they go a long way).
Nice to see your videography capturing the experience, top quality as always. Looking forward to the next ones!
Beautiful as always
Mashallah, the quality of the video from the editing to the scenic shots is amazing. Can't wait for this pandemic to go away so I can experience this for myself haha.

(sure Al-Infitar)
When the sky breaks apart
And when the stars fall, scattering,
And when the seas are erupted
And when the [contents of] graves are scattered,
A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back.
O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous,
Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you?
In whatever form He willed has He assembled you.
No! But you deny the Recompense.
And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers,
Noble and recording;
They know whatever you do.
Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure,
And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire.
Beautifully filmed! You really excel in this xxx

Sushi is my favorite food after Salmon. Using chop sticks is easy I tought myself how to use it when I was 9 years old. 💓💓💘💘

Alhamdulillah this video is going to be my guide in finding halal food in Tokyo. I've been wanting to try halal ramen in Tokyo but I only found one in Osaka. Great vlog! if I may ask what brand of cam and lens you used in this video? :-)
Thanks! Make sure to watch my other videos for more - try halal soba in Odaiba too. I used a Canon vlogging camera mostly and sometimes a Sony mirrorless with a 28mm lens.
Omg i love watching your video❤️❤️❤️

Japanese chef: "It's very spicy, ok?"
Cambodian: "... Not really".
As expected from a fellow shout east asian 😎
Yes, Japanese spicy is not really that spicy. Even not for a dane like me :-)
your voice is ______ calming____

Beautiful video, thank you for it. Btw, the can I get the link or any info about the recitation or the Qari, like at 1:00 mins
Hi. I just wanna say that you did a great job with the cinematography. Where are you from btw?
thanks! I was born and raised in the US.
Japan my second favorite country after China !😍😍😍☺☺
why china?
Heh heh, you pack your suitcases like me; always too much stuff - and then even more on the way home; with all the souvenirs :-)
Where are you from? Last time I was in Japan (2018), I noticed that there were more indonesian tourists than before.
I hope to go to Shikoku to do (part of) the pigrimage there in 2022.
Alsalamu Alakuim. Love you dear😘😘
Wa alaikumusalaam thank you!! 💛💛💛
you are living my final dream
Hoping you get to travel here soon!
I LOVE YOU ALL MUSLIMS
Amazing! What kind of camera do you use?
A sony mirrorless with apsc lens 😄
So sad that the ramen place is no longer open :(
Love it
Hello from palestine ❤
Thank you!
Masha Allah kak,, i gues u are Indonesian?
no, I’m not! haha do I look Indonesian? I’m also not Malaysian or Singaporean.
Where do u guys form?
Did you plan an itenarary or was it all on the go?
A little bit of both. I had a general list of sights to see, large attractions, foods to try, but as we went along, I grouped things by location and timing and made loose plans for each day, day of. If we couldnt get to something one day and still really wanted to, we'd make time for it later, and we also allowed ourselves to simply walk around and explore however we felt fit the day, which made our experiences better.
Amaze me
what camera r u using in this video? 🥰🥰
Hi! I’m using a canon g7x (point and shoot) and a Sony mirrorless! Most clips from my vlogs are from the canon :)
can you tell me how you put subtitles in your videos or what app you use?
I edit in fcp x 💻 I manually transcribe my own videos
Japan knows halal tourism, extraordinary. In Indonesia, which is predominantly Muslim, halal tourism has become a polemic for phobia Muslims
Cream soda is that same as Coca Cola or Fanta? Or is it creamy? Can you give an international example pls
cream soda has a vanilla flavor to it and it is lighter than coke -- the one I had was a melon cream soda so it tasted like melon-flavored cream. it was delicious!
Love your hijabs. Masjids in Japan they read Quran and pray in Arabic or Japanese ? Cna you pray in public or it's rude in Japan. Bulliet trains 😭😭😍😍😍
They pray and read Quran in Arabic, but khutbahs (lectures) are additionally given in Japanese. Thank you for watching!
@@withlovero Oh oaky that's great. Your Welcome and thank you as well !
Hi, im planning to go to japan aswell, how difficult was it to find halal food, eg travel distance
Did you use a filter for this video?
No, I color correct as I edit.
Is that sushi you ate halal? I believe They used sake oN their rice for sushi usually vinegar or sake stuff
I went to japan 4 times and those days I didn’t think about halal 😞
Yes so we ask prior to or check if there is a label. I think it’s also important to note there’s a difference of opinion - some scholars think that the alcohol cooks off or fully absorbs and thus they do not consider certain instances haraam. That being said I’m not of that opinion just to be safe haha
Say: O My slaves who have been prodigal to their own hurt! Despair not of the mercy of Allah, Who forgiveth all sins. Lo! He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
(Quran Surah Az-Zumar 53))
Say: O My slaves who have been prodigal to their own hurt! Despair not of the mercy of Allah, Who forgiveth all sins. Lo! He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
Surah Az-Zumar 53)
BTW what's the melody in the beginning of the video?
The mosque was build by Turkey.
Yes, I learned that when I visited the masjid. Beautiful architecture - there was a shop selling trinkets/mementos, books, and prayer rugs on the ground floor as well.
