I had experience get lost lonely in one of Japan Village, still ...I feel safe... Then wearing hijab, somehow I get advantage that sometimes food street owners tell me with X hand sign if there are some prohibited / haram ingredients on the street food that I want to buy. That's why I love to travelling around Japan again N again.

Quite possibly because the level of education and general freedom regarding what can be taught is severely restricted due to Islam, eh? Representing Islam in such a good way and explaining it in a friendly and understandable way made me emotional. Thank you for this fantastic video and so much love from Turkey!
Respect to the guy for correcting the interviewer that it is "not difficult" to practice the religion you love. Love Japan, hope to visit someday inshallah
I think, to date, this is your best documentary yet. It is very insightful, respectful and packed full of not very widely published information (at least here in the US.) As a non-religious person I am fascinated by those who are and why they choose to believe what they believe. I would love to see a documentary (done by you of course) on the Japanese and their belief in Shinto as I have already seen your video on Buddhism. Please keep up the great work. I always look forward to your videos when they come out. Please tell Barno and Sherzod a great "thank you" for providing a wealth of information and experience to the world. All the best to you and your family!!
I'm a non believer, but it always fascinates me whenever i see people having deep faith in God. Islam being one of those religion where i noticed almost everyone has their utmost respect and faith towards their God. I learned about Islam a lot through this video, really giving an insight. I hope a future will come when everyone starts respecting every religion as well as the non believers like myself, and we all be smiling at each other whenever we cross paths.
Islam says, each person should be given respect on the basis of his character, and treatment towards fellow humans and other beings, and not only the basis of his/her religious practices. Even if a person is a non-believer, as per Islam, no one has the right to disrespect him/her or deny any rights. A non-believer, is sinning (against the Almighty, by not believing Him, P. S. I am sorry if I described it in a wrong way), so the matter is between him/her and the Almighty, and no human being has any right to punish or disrespect that person on this basis, on the condition that that person (the non-believer) is not attacking or harming the believer on the basis of his/her faith. So the bottom line is, Islam teaches us to give equal respect and love, even to a non-believer based on his/her behaviour and character.❤️ Love from India...
You are still loved by the Almighty who is the Creator of everyone.❤️It is always good to learn about other people. The Holy Quran is the final revelation. Also the final Messenger Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.

@Garuda Integritas Hi my friend, you are totally wrong when you have said that someone can find the true Islam in Iran and Afghanistan, It can be found anywhere. Of course, there are some bad people lives that kill, make corruption that doesn't represent the Islam, Like everywhere on earth some bad people exist that use the religion, nation and identity for their own self wants. If people do that in Islam that doesn't represent Islam. More ever the Quran Ayat you have written, if you study the full surah or passage of those Ayats then you can check that was stated for war, that have been fought at the time of Muhammad S.A.W when disbeliever started the war and hurt the Muslims. So kindly study Islam first, It may help you better know the Muslims.
@Garuda Integritas brother in Islam, the Quran states that whoever kills one man without a valid reason (e,g, self defence or to save someone else) receives the punishment as killing everyone in all of the humanity. and to address your first point, using this statement, you can still repent for killing someone and allah forgives you. however on the day of judgement if the person doesnt forgive you for killing them, you get the punishment for the killing. i hope you will hear me out, have a great, blessed and successful day brother ☺
A big special thanks to Barno and Sherzod, who not only let me into their lives to film this video, but who also organized all the film locations and people to interview. Can we give some appreciation to the fact that not a single music track was used in this video (as far as I could tell)? Really awesome insight on this subject.
@Crazy Cold People used to marry like 20 women 1400 years ago. So Allah only allowed a maximum of 4 because men abused their power. The hadith says you can marry more than 1 if you can treat all of them equally and you all live in the same house so the children will all have a father. If you can't treat your wives equally, marry only one.
Crazy Cold It is "hear" to music, not "here" music. I'm sorry to point it outbut...that's very basic, u need to type it in a right way. And maybe she's a big fan of BTS, we never know, many muslim girls do listen to music. From this film we can only know that he actually only have one wife, We always ought to have a good assumption on others, right? And most of muslim guy only have one wife, coz polygamy's not encouraged in the faith of Islam. According to the Quran.( The Holy of Islam, guidance from Allah to muslims) Chapter 4, Verse 3: “And if you fear that you will not deal justly with the orphan girls, then marry those that please you of [other] women, two or three or four. But if you fear that you will not be just, then [marry only] one or those your right hand possesses. That is more suitable that you may not incline [to injustice].” so, yes, polygamy is not encouraged in Islam.
Crazy Cold And marry 1,000 women( again not "womens", hopefully, I'm gonna be a English teacher in the future not far, sorry for point it out again) is a rather crazy idea, it not going to be fun I suppose🧐🧐🧐 ps: maybe you should read some books during your leisure time, I recommend the Holy Quran, and English Grammar in Use. Hey I just wanted to clarify something when he said that some countries like Malaysia put halal logos everywhere and he doesnt know why. It is because halal is not just the type of food you are consuming but it also includes the way it was prepared, the cleanliness of the place of prep and some other important things. In Malaysia, halal certification is very strict, so if it is certified, it means that it is of a good standard :)
Halalan Toyibban. Permissible and Good. The preparation of the food is in clean condition. Halal officer check every process, ingredient and granted the certifice. I.e bubble tea, milk souce is check, tapioca is check, preservative is check..yadda2. And from what ive heard, many countries actually learn from Malaysia. some manufacturer didnt want this strict check up and resorted to other country. contrary to her husband comment, some muslim in malaysia like old people doesnt trust other country halal logo bc they perceive it as 'doubtful'.
@SUJITH KUMAR Nope. Halal is religious, hygienic, and more. Halal is about a whole lot of stuff concerning many different categories, and it is as complex as any other industry criteria. It's almost laughable whenever non-Muslims think they know more about it than we Muslims ourselves lmao. But sure, whatever floats your boat, man. We're not here to shame anybody :)

This is a great example of an unbiased educational video. I have nothing against people respectfully initiating discussions around religion, but this is not the place for it. This video sparks no debate as it has demonstrated no political or religious views in any capacity. There are many videos on the internet where religion is being discussed so you could go there with your opinions and questions. This video was peaceful so leave it as is.

Though they are using the word 'rewards' for doing certain things, I like that all of those things seem to be based around just trying to be a better person and being courteous to others. This is something that is failing more and more in the world, especially in times where people find themselves in such a hurry, and always busy. Originally I thought of the idea of praying five times a day as being something that would be a large inconvenience, but looking at it from the perspective of a hectic life, it is actually a very good way to be able to take some time out of your day to calm yourself and relax your mind. It bet it helps with dealing with everyday stress.
Actually in Islam you are given 'points' for everything that you do. There are positive and negative points. On the Judgment Day these points decide whether you go to Heaven or Hell. The Prophet Muhammed said "A smile is a charity" So when you smile at a person you get positive points added into your "Book of Deeds".
Genisay I am born Muslim but the idea to sharing I found very late. I was always tired and in rush when started to pray I discover I get relax and time off, switch off from hectic life. Also have leg pains and in namaz I feel so better and that the only time when I sit down in day. Sadly now I am reading namaz in rush now. After this video I will try to relax and give concentration towards namaz.
One of the best interviews i saw. It left me with a smile on my face. To see how open Japan is to other cultures makes me really happy & curious to visit it once inshallah
this video was so interesting, not only did i learn about the islamic lifestyle in primarily tokyo but also things about islam that i didn’t know about. great video!
"Japan is more Islamic than many Muslim countries." The words hit me real deep... The country is cleaner more than some Muslim countries. The people respect, understand and treat each other better more than some Muslim countries (religious, social and culture). The people follow the rules and regulations "religiously" more than some Muslim countries. Islam teach the followers to be the best human being, and the Japaneses can simply nail that even without being Muslims... I might be wrong. It's my POV...
Well omg I am muslim and the thing I got distracted from doing my obligation but when I saw the video or videos like this about islam It's just like I feell more human being and get anxious about what I didn't do. What I mean the same feeling and I am shocked because this ^human being like^ got me and I think it's just the word I need to describe myself at this point.
May Allah reward them for trying to explain some aspects of Islam. However, there are some errors which can be misleading(I'm sure these good people didn't intend to do that). If you truly wish to learn about Islam please kindly go to authentic Holy books like Qur'an, Sahih Hadiths. Ask a sheikh AKA scholar not iman.
I'm Muslim and lived in Miyazaki japan (3 years) for my university studies, i can tell you that Japanese are very respectful, kind and friendly and there's no islamophobia. I recommend you go japan and enjoy the natural beauty of the country and the nice manners of the people.
There is Islamophobia in Japan. Japanese are very racist, they just hide it with good manners and smiles. So many groups and accounts of people that don’t want Muslims in Japan on Twitter (X now). Plus they are fighting and opposing cemeteries for Muslims in Japan now.
People might find the perfume part to be weird or funny, but imagine meeting the Queen of England. You'd definitely want to look and smell your best. What more to say, when meeting God. Praying is a sort of symbolism in Islam as connecting oneself to God.
And also we do this for the angels, as Muslims we're never alone we are also surrendered by a lot of angels that parys with us when we pray, so to respect their presence we have to be clean and perfumed. "Nadafa mina aliman" which basically means being clean is a part of the worship.
I have Japanese friends nd they invited me to Japan nd when visited it they were really friendly nd I invited them to my country too we're best friends sharing both cultures nd they totally respect my religion (islam) , they're such good nd wonderful human beings ! Big love to Japan from tunisia 🇹🇳🇯🇵
I like that these people are completely self-disciplined, cleanliness oriented, and dedicated to their community. I can say that they are extremely Japanese in the sense that they possess virtues that many Japanese like me find desirable. In my opinion, a good Muslim can be a good Japanese. The reverse is also true.

@@pewds7798 I don’t hate Islam itself, I just don’t want it in my country . Look at The UK and France. Multiculturalism isn’t good for the longterm. And Japan is a country of shintoism and buddhism. We don’t need Islam. I can talk about this because this story is taking place in my country, not yours.
@@渡辺春樹-z7x I can understand where you're coming from, but here's the thing Multiculturalism can work so long as outside cultures can respect their host's country's culture in this case, Japan. Many of these Muslims in the documentary have shown that they are quite capable of respecting and abiding by Japanese standards and maintain their own culture in a flexible and accommodating manner, the problem with the west like the UK, France and USA, is that they are far too compliant with multicultural standards, that it completely falls on itself. (That and the general fact that some immigrants really are stubbornly ignorant and that they HAVE to be told to have some level of blending in with society) If you go to 浜松市 Hamamatsu you'll find an unbelievable amount of Brazilians, Nikkei-Brazilians or Brazilian-kei Japanese people. Despite the major Brazilian influences it remains a part of Japan and accommodates to Japanese culture.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. It's eye-opening to hear what it's like for Muslims living in Japan. Your stories really help in understanding and appreciating different cultures and beliefs.
This is a really interesting video! From reading the comments, I can already tell that this is going to be controversial. I love how you try to show Japan from as many different perspectives as possible. Keep up the awesome work!
controversial? why? in western country, yes, islam is often at best annoying and at worst, well... you know... but that's because there's a lot of them due to mass immigration. However in Japan muslims are an extremely tiny minority so nobody cares, and muslims themselves are in no position to make demands.
Bill Murray Muslims in the west have every right to be demanding especially when it was the west who continues to bomb their countries which is the main cause of those “mass migrations”.
Bill Murray It's not necessarily controversial in Japan. Given the fact that this is a english dubbed video,I‘m gonna assume those 20% dislikes are from certain islamophobic people in the west. You know they would dislike anything islamic on youtube just because it's about Islam culture or muslims‘ lives
Love this. I'm not Muslim, or religious, but I absolutely respect all religious people and so glad to see that Japan is, as always, so hospitable to people of varying backgrounds. All love : )

@Elisha Yes we Muslims strongly believe that Jesus peace be upon him is a prophet. Thus Jesus peace be upon him can't be a liar, but in the same time we also believe that your actual bible is corrupted and my evidences are the verses you mentioned and you may ask why? My answer is simple: Because its contradict the holy Quran. The Quran clearly states in chapter 4 verses 157-158 : " And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah ." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise." Finally, you said that you demolished Islam, guess what!!! I'm going to help you. So write a book and state all you proofs in it and you will be the so called ELISHA THE DESTRUCTOR OF ISLAM. You don't need to thank me 😎
@Elisha Jesus also in your bible said that God can not be a man or son of a man and by the way it contradicts the verse you have mentioned because he called him self son of man. By the way I can give you more clues from the bible that jesus is not a god and he is surely a slave of god and he is a prophet. And yes we as muslims do believe in jesus and love him, peace and blessing be upon him.
@Elisha we do respect him as we respect all the prophets : chapter 3 verse 84 : Say: "We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam)." But we don't believe that he is the son of God, and we do believe that no body should take the responsability of humanity's fault, each one is responsible of his own faults. This why there is the concept of repentance in Islam, and this is why "the Forgiver" is one of Allah's name. The role of a prophet is to transmit the word of God. And if we believe that he is not dead, it is because we believe that he was saved by a miracle from God. In my point of view, it is a Honour that he was saved by God like that, it was not a disgrace.
@Elisha This is the problem between Christians and Muslims, the two of you are so focused on proving what religion is the true religion, that you are blinded to see who is the real God, Satan! The most high who set us free, and who open our yes to this world!
Exactly I was saying that to my self while watching them. Such a righteous couple they know their religion very well. AlBukhari came right away to my mind. Great respect to you brother and sister may Allah gather us in Paradise

I discovered this video by accident but my wife and I really enjoyed what it delivered. We're exploring the possibility of relocating to another country and Japan is high on my list even though we have no cultural connection to it. My wife is Moroccan, so having the insight your video provided is very helpful. In many ways, Japan seems to offer the same challenges any non-Muslim country would offer, even the US and Canada, in regards to food stuffs, prayer at work and when out, dress practices, etc. We had the same issues just moving from Washington DC to Portland, in re-settling. But it sounds like Japan has a leg up on most countries, without its biases and the cultural misinformation Muslims face elsewhere. As an American, I am keenly aware of the biases towards Muslims that exist here because I am ethno-socially aware of where their history and ongoing nurture. Thank you for all of your wonderful content, we can't wait to watch more of your videos and learn more.
@@shrekwithawillsmithface465 Yes, I reverted before marrying my wife but I would not consider me a normal revert as I have made the religious transition, but less of the cultural. Please tell Barno and Sherzod a great "thank you" for providing a wealth of information and experience to the world. true, it's complexity at it's finest
Im more interesting not how shinto practiced but the history of shinto. Who When n where it begin.
So the bottom line is, Islam teaches us to give equal respect and love, even to a non-believer based on his/her behaviour and character.❤️
Love from India...

@Crazy Cold also the wife can edit or change the marriage contract to not allow the husband to marry more after her
Crazy Cold It is "hear" to music, not "here" music. I'm sorry to point it outbut...that's very basic, u need to type it in a right way.

From this film we can only know that he actually only have one wife, We always ought to have a good assumption on others, right? And most of muslim guy only have one wife, coz polygamy's not encouraged in the faith of Islam.
According to the Quran.( The Holy of Islam, guidance from Allah to muslims) Chapter 4, Verse 3:
“And if you fear that you will not deal justly with the orphan girls, then marry those that please you of [other] women, two or three or four. But if you fear that you will not be just, then [marry only] one or those your right hand possesses. That is more suitable that you may not incline [to injustice].”

Very well said .. I am a Muslim , indeed taking 10 minutes to pray in-between your hectic day is good for health, and releasing stressed
Waow you're so true! I just felt same! And being good with ppl for God's sake, that is really lovely:)

I'm Muslim and lived in Miyazaki japan (3 years) for my university studies, i can tell you that Japanese are very respectful, kind and friendly and there's no islamophobia. I recommend you go japan and enjoy the natural beauty of the country and the nice manners of the people.
Respectful to your face, but after that is another story!
Praying means connecting to God in all religions. Not just Islam.

Only difficulty for a Japanese person to become Muslim would be refusing pork.
(That and the general fact that some immigrants really are stubbornly ignorant and that they HAVE to be told to have some level of blending in with society)
If you go to 浜松市 Hamamatsu you'll find an unbelievable amount of Brazilians, Nikkei-Brazilians or Brazilian-kei Japanese people. Despite the major Brazilian influences it remains a part of Japan and accommodates to Japanese culture.

controversial? why? in western country, yes, islam is often at best annoying and at worst, well... you know... but that's because there's a lot of them due to mass immigration. However in Japan muslims are an extremely tiny minority so nobody cares, and muslims themselves are in no position to make demands.
Bill Murray Muslims in the west have every right to be demanding especially when it was the west who continues to bomb their countries which is the main cause of those “mass migrations”.

Religion always takes you to peace. Not matter how you practice your religion. A true religious person will have and share love for all humankind.
This man knows a lot about Islam. No doubt he is from the land of El-Bukhari.
And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise."
Finally, you said that you demolished Islam, guess what!!!
@Elisha we do respect him as we respect all the prophets : chapter 3 verse 84 : Say: "We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam)."
But we don't believe that he is the son of God, and we do believe that no body should take the responsability of humanity's fault, each one is responsible of his own faults.
AlBukhari came
right away to my mind. Great respect to you brother and sister may Allah gather us in Paradise

Firdaus Ismail lol a lot of Uzbek people look like that.
My wife was just saying something similar to this when showing his picture to her mother, "Don't they look alike?"

I think he looks like Greg and also kind of like Yuta from the "That Japanese Man Yuta" channel!
🤣 for sure, he is more identical than greg bro's
I live in a country where the entire population is 61% Muslim, and should I say this video really educated me a lot on the religion. Especially the people around me. I've got a few Muslim friends over the years but never actually get to learn about them, they don't teach things like this in school as often as well, I felt as if the religion are being discriminated a lot due to international media bias, Islam is a religion of peace, from eating together, to the reward (Smiling at people), everything opened my eyes as a Chinese living in Malaysia. I'm glad you replied to her and decided on making this happen. Thank you for this video.
May allah guude you to the straight way brother
May be your friends thought that you might feel awkward or annoying. Or you might ask them by yourself if you have interest. I live in japan. I cant even preach my japanese neighbors Islam because of the language barrier. 😞 but the old japanese neighbor keeps me asking about my hijab, my niqab. 😃 she thinks that i may feel suffocation. 😝 she is worried for me. 😂
I’m Malaysian muslim...and i understand what ur experienced with malay muslim....I think Malay muslim(not all) not show true Islam expecially regarding race....Especially by a ‘islamic politician’ from a certain party.....i hope u’ll know Islam itself rather than know about Muslim people....
@RAPH OOO actually not really, there's still 1 law that applied to all Malaysians which is the civil law , and the Muslims law in Malaysia oftenly only aplied to a family matters such as marriage and something like that
I love their IMAAN ...Allah grant us IMAAN like these peoples... Aameen..
No
Omg 😭 all the Muslims in this video are just so educated and very well spoken they made me feel so proud 😭😭
