I have a life hack that worked for my nephews, nieces and our own children, to acclimate them to sleeping in noisy environments. Let me know if you want to know.
@Rufiowascool well, if it works out fine between them then there is no need to choose to just eat outside. and maybe it's a way of showing love. just my thoughts
@kufupa7707 Unlike other countries, being a housewife is not looked down upon in japan. It is not an easy job, but yet it is a very important job in their society and these women do it with pride. For this, I respect them very much. However, it's not like japanese housewives are locked inside their houses because they can also have part time jobs if they wish or a lot of free time once the children start attending school. Usually, the wives are the boss of house and the children and husband are supposed to obey them out of love and respect, so I would hardly call that modern slavery. Also. even if Moe's husband seems to have a 10-12 hour shifts, he still tries to help her with mundane tasks which I think is quite sweet. (Personally, I would have loved it if I got to spend more time with either of my parents growing up instead of them being away for work. So I think that Sutan is very fortunate to be able to spend lots of time with their mother.)
@stateminuteofprocrastinati5654 I agree, i've seen a japanese prank show where they prank a husband that always said his wife dish taste really good, they prank him by adding something really bad like too many salt, sugar, soy sauce to his dish. and despite the urge to puke he kept on eating the dish, when the prank unfold and the mc ask why the husband keep eating despite the horrific taste. The husband said " i dont know what went through her day, she had been busy trying to keep the house clean and caring to the kids. Who am i to judge her cook and made her feeling hurt after a tiring day." such remark rarely occurs in other place.
I am a 35 year old single male, and after watching this video i feel totaly inspired to become a 27-year old japanese mom. Edit: Wow!! Just noticed my comment got +9500 likes within a month!!! You guys are awesome!! Thanks to everyone and have a great life!
I recently knew about Moe and Sutan, but I realized that I had seen them in this video 2-3 years ago. Now knowing that Moe has a background as a Maiko, I’m not surprised why she is so patient and disciplined.
@IlmurOsp lol yes way. I'm from the southern part of Africa so I'm not familiar with it. But as I saw more videos I got to understand its style of dressing.
things I love about this family: - calmness and clean house - perfect mom with good manners and perfect skills - cutest baby ever - supportive and hardworking husband
Andrea Calza You are exactly the reason why the western society is going down the drain. Are you really that thick to understand that the husband is working his ass off to provide for the family. Pull your head out of your entitled ass.
Omg seeing Sutan as a baby melts my heart. She's so grown up now. Moe didn't change tiny bit, she still looks as gorgeous and her husband is as handsome as ever. It's sad seeing so many mean comments here about them. I hope they feel ashamed when they see them now. Moe surely didn't marry for money and her previous marriage was a suffer for her. She really had a thorny path to reach to where she is now. She and her husband are very brave, strong and hardworking people
slamming doors and vaccuming? you are still lvl 1i see... my mom talks on her phone in the living room, watches tv in the living room, eats in the living room, fight with my sisters and father in the living room and study in the living room... ps: my bed is in the living room...
Did you mom that also when you was a baby? I know nobody who likes to wake up some poor baby... It's not the same as having bigger kids or teens at home...
@Honyaku_Fragments ofc ofc, my mom is THE BEST women i ever met in the whole universe. she cared for us (me and my siblings) alot, she even understands our feelings without us saying a word! if there is someone who deserves my life that would be her... all those sounds are extremely annoying to me but i prefer biting my arm instead of stopping her of doing something she wants to do.
i love how healthy she lives, she has such a ''clean'' life, she has daily routines that keeps her healthy. I'm laying in bed everyday debating when i have the power to shower...
This is such a golden episode! Knowing Moe and Sutan since 2 years ago, I really enjoyed watching their beginning.. I hope there's a new clip where your two families meet and hang out together!
This goes to show how being a housewife is just as busy as having a regular job. And there are women who work and go home to cook, clean, do laundry, etc.
my mum had 4 kids... worked as a full time teacher (requires after hour prep and marking)... single parent and managed to workout every day/cook/clean etc.... she's unbelievable in my eyes.... makes me think I could do it too....but being a parent still scares me lol
Yes, it's pretty hard working and attending to kids and house chores everyday. Though running my own business has the benefit of adjusting my own time, it's just as challenging.
Well he's definitely far older than her ( I'm guessing in his mid to late 30's) and loaded af. Classic case of the young gorgeous woman marrying into money. Not hating but that's a fact
@SS-yv9cq Japanese women are pragmatic. They prefer a man who have a stable job and can ensure they will have a stable family life. Looks, age and performance in bed is secondary.
Wow! I just realized this is Sutan, the cute Japanese toddler who cooks with her mom 😍🥰 She grew up so well and is so articulate now. Good job, parents! 👏👏
It's due to affluence. I live in Japan and the working class people here are so miserable, moreso than Americans. Most married couples hardly talk to each other except for what's needed to keep the lights on. Marriage here is a lot more contractual than the old "I'm getting married because he/she is my soul mate". A lot of men and women here choose marriage partners that would otherwise make great roommates that they won't have any domestic issues with and the vast majority opt to never have children, which is why the population growth is negative every year
Ummm... Everybody commenting here does realize they are on video right? They are Japanese and they know how to be very pleasant and polite when other people are watching. Not to mention it's just human nature when you're on camera
@bgrant1974 Moe has created her own chanel after this video came out. We got to see more of her and her family. She is definitely a genuine good person in a way you cannot fake.
Pancho Lopez It's an traditional custom You supposed to say it , like it or not, if you don't want to be thought as a rude person. The young toddlers are taught to say it, even if they don't know the meaning , and it becomes a habit.
FYI: putting on a kimono is not easy and often requires being assisted. Being able to put on a kimono well by yourself is considered a very elite skill.
I think many ppl missed the point that she was trained as a maiko / apprentice geisha for six years. She must have gone through a very rigid training regimen to be able to carry herself with grace and elegant like that. If anyone watched Memoirs of a geisha they probably know this line " a geisha is a moving work of art.
Routine. Routine. If you slowly do all this things step by step then it becomes more easy each time you do it. Its like a process. It might look all very easy but it took time to practice ; )
JO MANGEEE well my mom actually has a job to be able to get me and my dad nice things, and she cooks food everyday for both of us while cleaning up after my dad, I understand if you want to say most women but not all of course. :)
I think her technique for talking a lot with her baby works really well. Sutan not only well behaved but she also talks smoothly nowadays. I love them very much. Watching her makes me less afraid of being a mother in the future
This guy must have a solid reputation to earn the trust of so many people. Japan is not so xenophobic but they won’t just let anyone in their door. Man, if some person claimed to be a RUclipsr and wanted insight to my life I would be hesitant.
well a simple background check on a youtuber is a piece of cake. i would be hesitant as you, if some stranger unknown low subscriber youtuber ask me to collaborate on any shit they offered. and off course only the open minded person will gladly appear as a main role in this "the day in a life" series. besides the fact that paolo had live in japan for a long time and surely have lots of connection and friends there, some of the casts in this series were also already appear as an open minded person in social media which is the type that paolo surely be pick to contact in asking for collaboration.
@Mary Harrison That is sad. If they don't get paid, are they not worthy of respect? Rewarded or not, this work is essential for the survival of the human race. It is worthy of respect. I admire hard-working housewife all over the world.
I hope this can be true in my country. I want to be a housewife and operate my home and family asset, but the society I'm in considers this as a bad and weak and loser thing....
@sennyoucrswl698 Housewives are losers? That's ridiculous. What a sad society we live in. There's nothing wrong with sharing roles in individual families. It doesn't matter if they work together, if only the woman earns an income, or whatever, there should be a "housewife" in the diversity.
Is it because of the apartment, the neighborhood, or that she gets to stay home with the baby ? Just wondering because in the USA we often don’t get paid maternity leave and it’s maximum 3 months so many moms end up staying home which is what I did for 5 years. But I would say that even for middle class families in a large city, an apartment like that would not be out of reach. So it makes me wonder how the average Japanese family lives..
Doing what he loves, making a fat stack, and coming home to a beautiful family he loves, a delicious meal, and a clean living space. This man did it. He's living the dream. I'd be grinning ear-to-ear daily if I had it like that.
@blackattack1840 I'm sure he wishes he could actively see his daughter for more than an hour a day. Work-life balance is atrocious in Japan, this is known.
You guys should COLLAB again! You kickstarted her RUclips career as your first EP of Day is the Life and you both have your own products, the Umami Sauce and the Hot Sauce. Love both the channels❤
Whether a baby is a "good" baby or not is pretty much entirely genetics and dumb luck. Parents like to claim credit when they have "good" babies as proof of their rockstar parenting skills... but in reality, they just got lucky. Incredibly loving and hands-on parents can have needy, clingy, grumpy babies, despite reading every attachment parenting blog there is. You get the kid you get, and just have to try to do your best.
Not gunna lie, I was envious of how well behaved that baby was during her train ride, and her grocery shopping. I'm lucky if my baby stays in his stroller for a good 20 minutes.
Culture is the image of your identity and race. Everyone should ve proud of their own race and culture. It has nothing to do with learning any language you like
In fact, it makes no sense to expose a child to a language by letting it watch tv. Children learn language by interaction. Learning a language by watching tv or listening to a radio show is impossible and makes linguistically no sense at all.
Actually. The husband should hire a housekeeper, so that the wife can have more quality time with the baby. Also. They REALLY need to dump the white noise machine, though! NO person can get proper rest with ANY form of noise! Poor Baby! Can't grow properly now! Plus. Today we know you should NEVER just walk away from a crying baby, because there is ALWAYS a reason that a baby cries! Walking away from a crying (or uncomfortable) baby is a HUGE oldschool error.
@IngridduPreez so the husband must not only work, but also pay for a housekeeper so the wife can spend all her time playing with the kid? Wouldn't think so... Being a parent is a job, taking care of the house AND the baby is a proper routine if you're not working outside the home. Besides, it's good for the mind to focus on other things and not just on the child. Children need to learn to play independently too, and not cling to their mother 100% of the time, because it's not healthy for either of them!
@dancingpigmonkey She needs to stay at house, i guess, because is more easy to feed the kid with breast milk. And maybe she should have a housekeeper if she does'nt have time to herself. And this "proper routine" is hard as hell. Anything you have to do - scrub the bathroons, make food with hot water or oil, wash and fold A LOT of clothes and there's go an infinity list - you still have to keep an eye at them (the babies). Because if you don't, they go to dangerous places or eat ants... By experience... But i don't have sure about what is right or wrong, so it does'nt matter what i write in an youtube comment.
Dale • she's not lecturing or insulting the way she's training the kid to sleep, she's just stating the facts of what is known about baby development. Culture is not above science, and I'm sure that's why the mother used a timer to see how long the baby takes to stop crying so it's not too long. Still, the process of letting a child cry alone can be traumatic at a subconscious level, from higher rates of low self-esteem to even depression at a younger age in the future. Children when left alone to cry endlessly when they DO need something and don't get any form of attention back, they just learn to become silent, not automatically to go back to sleep, but more of a learnt behaviour that it doesn't matter what they do, it's useless to cry or make any sound. Abandonment.
I am watching this video now that Sutan is 3 years old. I now understand why Sutan's verbal skills are so advanced. Moe spoke to her all the time when she was an infant . Also she has such thick hair! So adorable.
Husband works in restaurant business but still eats wife’s homecooking. Lovely. And wife is a queen who took cooking classes for herself and family. Love it
I know several chefs and they will eat ANYTHING after a 12 hour shift as long as they don't have to cook it themselves, often they even eat frozen dinner when they have days off just to avoid making the food themselves.
@Blessed are the Wicked OK, the joke is that women in Japan aren't typically given painkillers for child birth. A lot of people would hear that and decide to not have kids, thereby avoiding the pain.
@jeesunie I've had three all natural (not on purpose) and you forget just how bad it was cause it's totally worth it... obviously cause I did it two more times!
@ NRPax OK, and the logical thought processing is that’s not the case because in African POOR countries that don’t have that either is exploding with population
im confused by the "ugh they're rich" comments. She walks around carrying a baby and takes public transport, runs across entire train stations to find an elevator so she can travel up and down level with an elevator. In HK even middle class people have maids and someone running 7 restaurants would have at least 1-2 full time drivers. Respect to this lovely family for being so close and taking care of each other so beautifully!!!
I think they’re referring to the house they live in. That’s a MASSIVE house especially for tokyo, which means they have to make a lot of money to pay the rent
@tmck4138 Yes,in Hong Kong places are too small...To have a house like that, you must be earning a lot... I've never been to Japan but I've been to Hong Kong several times...
Many people comment "oh it's easy for them bcs they are rich and her husband has some restaurants" BUT please highlight these : 1. She doesn't hire maid. It's easy for her to hire one bcs they are rich, right? 2. She wakes up early morning to do house chores and cook for her husband 3. Instead of eating outside, her husband chooses to eat at home.
How do you know that it's always like that? Wouldn't it be possible for her to hire a maid like 3 or 4 days a week and that she's doing all this because she's being filmed? Don't get me wrong I'm not hating on these people, I'm just trying to say that you shouldn't believe everything because someone does something in front of a camera. Like when celebrities act like they're taking care of their children when paparazzis are around and as soon as the cameras are gone, the nannies are taking care of them
The fact that these people are saying all "their rich" to discredit the hard work a mother has to do in the house is something isn't it.😣 it doesn't matter if you're rich or poor, a true loving mother is always going to be hard work
@El_ACG I understand your point, but judging from Japanese culture , it is very likely that it is indeed their everyday life, as people will even judge you if a wife didn't prepare the lunchbox from scratch. Moreover a nanny or maid is very uncommon in Japan if you are a full time mom, again , people will judge you and think you are unqualified wife/mom and consider "lazy", it doesn't matter if you are in middle class and could afford it, unless you are in the upper class with a mansion that are too big to handle on your own. It is more likely they will have a hourly paid housekeeper , but I highly doubt that in this case.
@opnt911 sure that's possible but as far as I know, having a maid is common among the upper class in Japan, just like wearing kimonos when going out. I might as well go a little further and assume that the husband might be possibly linked to the yakuza. Imagine some guy running 7 high class restaurants in the middle of Tokyo with various secret "meeting rooms''. I mean is it just me or do regular restaurants also come with secret rooms for "VIPs''? Picture Paolo opening the secret door to the karaoke room just to see a yakuza member singing baka mitai 😅
For anybody that says they don’t look rich, the train station they used was jiyugaoka which is a super fancy area and a house there would cost over a million usd. Just FYI.
i'm guessing its not hard for a woman that looks like that to find a rich man willing to stick a baby in her. she'd have to have the personality of a potato, or a drug habit.
They have a yard in Tokyo. That's what told me that they were very very well off. A yard even that size in a city that has approximately a third of Canada's population...
Sure that's done in the editing and the whole video was very planned out in advance like most motion pictures or shows when they put characters with no money simple jobs in very fancy apartments, expensive designer clothing as movies are illusions.
@-_--_--- hahahahaha most 27 year olds def arent this mature and organized, atleast in the usa. I know several who are still trying to get the hang of adulting despite working full time.
Japanese mother: Does not make noise to avoid waking others My Mexican jefa: starts vacuuming at 7 am on weekends and a pot party is heard in the kitchen
2 weeks late but: if you're not calm or if you are stressed about something, the baby could feel it and be stressed too, if you know what I mean. It's like when you feel a little sad and invite a friend that you know is in a happy mood, suddenly, you will feel happy too! If you work like that why won't the baby :) (sorry if my English is bad it's not my native language)
It all makes sense when Paolo mentioned that she used to be a Geisha apprentice in Kyoto for 6 years. Because it's really really hard... No wonder she has become what she is now. Really poised and patient person.
arielartista Husband works late at night to make sure his family has everything and she can have free time to enjoy doing her hobbies and hanging out with her friends. Both make a good couple 🙂.
they were always those things, just women have spent decade trying to prove that its hard work sadly. I literally don't want kids because its too hard work 🤣
@PaganMin-19XX Yes and no. I guess it depends if you are in a big city or in a rural area. And unfortunately it depends on your ethnicity and skin tone too. There are countries that are often portrayed as rude and aggressive but in fact soo much more welcoming and friendly in real life. While Japan is always depicted as super polite and respectful, some people who come there get a culture shock when people discriminate against them or make insensitive comments about their accents, culture, or skin color. Every country has the good and the bad. So does Japan.
For me, I worked 30+ hours a week, raised 3 children and did all the housework. My husband worked 40 hours a week and sometimes took out the trash. I didn't realize, until we were divorced, that he purposely broke dishes, washed red clothing with whites etc... He knew I would take over all the cleaning. I was so stupid. Divorcing him and staying single was the best decision I ever made.
White Wild, the most important thing in the world isn’t having a baby. Smh Calm down. My mother had me at 32. My dad was fine. Also, it’s kind of funny how you are scolding this girl for not having a baby at 26, yet it is apparent that the woman in this video had her baby at the age of 27. It won’t be the end of the world if a woman chooses not to have a baby in her twenties. Adoption is also a possibility. So calm down. It is perfectly fine to not have a baby at 26.
She really is. If you watch her youtube channel - which is a cooking channel - she will always stop what she is doing to take time to pay attention to her daughter.
@breadpitt6342 Being a single parent is hard and certainly isn't a path to be taken lightly. Don't expect her to have the time this mom had for her kids, because she'll need to work. You often need an iron will to be a single parent. Some manage nonetheless and they are to be respected, but being two is the safest way.
Her husband runs several restaurants and she didn't cook before marriage but she makes him a lunch and he comes home to a dinner that she prepared for the two of them. So sweet.
@faniari Se refiere a su mujer no a él. Y la verdad siento como si fuera una sensación un tanto esclava en ella. Sobretodo por la forma en como la habrán educado...
Delta Lima Bravo he was just saying what's in his mind chill like I totally agree with him because if women want men to treat them like that they have to do the same back
First I was like ''damn that's a spacious house for Tokyo standards''. Then her multiple restaurant owning husband woke up and it all became clear, they're loaded lmao.
@BK-yj5nu you would be surprised. Millionaires in Japan own houses closer to 2-3 mid sizes house from texas. They don't like to waste space, they even build the house upwards to 3 or 4 floors for a 2-3 bedroom. Even if they could afford buying up more property land, it is looked down upon. The only time you see really big 4-6 bedroom houses with a lot of yard space is if the owner is in the 100s millions where they have in live in attendants, or the house has a lot of traditional architecture and deep rooted family heritage. The latter normally has it converted to apartment like living arrangements, but even those are a dying breed.
Lmao looking back I subscribed to Moe's channel....and I was thinking where did Sutan got her chaotic personality...cuz Moe's very refined, elegant, I just recently watched her videos again...and Sutan's personality is def from her Mom 😅😂
In case anyone didn't know...Moe actually has a youtube channel now! She speaks in English and has subtitles. She teaches people how to cook Japanese food on her channel: "Kimono Mom" it also features Sutan a lot in each video with Moe sometimes teaching us how to make the baby food version of the recipes. It's honestly so wholesome-
@dogwrld9796 Japanese babies looks cute because their parents know how to properly raise them. Karens on the other hand, makes every baby looks punchable when they turns 9
Watching this again knowing that Miss Moe reached this far on her journey, and how Sutan grown up from a very cute baby to a lovable and witty little girl ❤❤❤❤
Didn't they say in the video though that people only wear it on occasions and most young ladies don't even know how to tie it themselves anymore? It's quite a shame that a lot of culture is slowly vanishing through the globalisation. Everyone just wants to be modern/Western nowadays :(
When you're in a country where women don't drink the feminist kool-aid... they tend to play their natural gender role; which is being a woman and they feel natural and comfortable.
Indeed, it's very nice family that keeps traditions alive. Don't let foreigners and especially leftists ruin it just like it happens in US, UK, or Europe!
@JohnDoe-qh6xq Yeah, you shouldn't have foreigners like Paolo or left wing ideals such as universal healthcare, collective responsibility and environmental awareness ruin the utopia that is Japan. Oh wait.
The mom is an absolute beauty, and the baby... I can’t with that adorable face! But the most interesting is to see how different cultures live, I love seeing that!
MasterMAT I think in Tokyo that kind of house that large space, not an apartment is basically not for rent. But if we were to live in a house like this for rent, it would certainly exceed 200,000 yen.
As a Japanese i envy her lifestyle... she’s such a talented mom managing childcare and housing choirs while maintaining her career as a Kimono teacher. She’s a highly cultural women and not to mention, she has that sweet baby and husband! What else to wish for? God bless you three
@maxpower4504 I do not think so. Most Korean idols have plastic surgery for double eyelids and nose. However, I think some Koreans with single eyelids are beautiful. This Japanese woman has no plastic surgery.
revisit this legend video after watched their newest vlog about moving to US. I have just realized that her husband is really supportive and appreciate what Moe did. even now he left his job and accompany Moe to follow her dream. I am so proud of this family, I am currently raising a daughter too, and I really look up to Moe and Sutan's relationship, I hope we can have their bonding too..
She's reached a million sub and in her video celebrating that achievement, she made sure to credit you and to show her appreciation to you. Very wholesome to both parties involved
I sometimes feel bad for raising my kid in a studio apartment but watching moms in Japan make it seem normal. I won't feel as insecure about it anymore!

Hey Paolo, could you do a day in the life of a geisha/maiko one day? Could be awesome.
I have a life hack that worked for my nephews, nieces and our own children, to acclimate them to sleeping in noisy environments. Let me know if you want to know.
Find me a wife like her 🙃 I miss the Japanese lifestyle.
Her husband runs fancy restaurants but still prefers his wife's homemade meals; Good man.
If the dude ate at work she’d not need to get up so early...
@Rufiowascool well, if it works out fine between them then there is no need to choose to just eat outside. and maybe it's a way of showing love. just my thoughts
Its obvious from het reaction that was the first time she made bento

This woman is a BOSS!!! Makes motherhood look effortless. And soooo patient.
The baby seemed well behaved too...for a baby. This family is just so cute 🙂
As they mentioned she was trained as Geisha so she must be trained for a lot these things.
Look up Kang Hao.
Until School Starts.

She wakes up at 5:30 and has no dark circles under her eyes... If I sleep 12 I still have it. What a pretty mom and baby
Maybe u need more iron in ur food, just some advice thou
And yes they're very beautiful, i hope the baby takes the best from her parents
She probably use a lot of different and good cosmetics to treat that.
She’s only 27. Maybe uses good night creams too. Japan has great skincare lines.
Maybe it’s genetics
@amynguyen9561 maybe its maybelline

My mom: slamming pans and vacuuming not caring who she wakes up😂
same but my mom would watch tv lol
slamming doors and vaccuming? you are still lvl 1i see... my mom talks on her phone in the living room, watches tv in the living room, eats in the living room, fight with my sisters and father in the living room and study in the living room...
ps: my bed is in the living room...
@redwanmarashli6496 Hah you should see my mom!
It's in the education 😩
"The power to shower!" Lmaoooo
The shower part is too real
I really felt this comment
Sameee
This is such a golden episode! Knowing Moe and Sutan since 2 years ago, I really enjoyed watching their beginning.. I hope there's a new clip where your two families meet and hang out together!
This goes to show how being a housewife is just as busy as having a regular job. And there are women who work and go home to cook, clean, do laundry, etc.
Omg how can it be even possible, one has to be a robot ...
my mum had 4 kids... worked as a full time teacher (requires after hour prep and marking)... single parent and managed to workout every day/cook/clean etc.... she's unbelievable in my eyes.... makes me think I could do it too....but being a parent still scares me lol
Yes, it's pretty hard working and attending to kids and house chores everyday. Though running my own business has the benefit of adjusting my own time, it's just as challenging.
Emm my mum
My plan is to help my future wife with chores when im home
I like how she really doesn’t mind that there is some guy just recording her whole day
True hahaha
She’s a RUclipsr too
@shukrantpatil what is her channel?
@DJDanceClassic her channel name is kimono mom
he is very respectful tho and she clearly agreed to do the vid :)
His wife looks like a model. She's also an amazing mother. He's a lucky man. 👍👍
She was a former geisha. Only ladies with good-looks gets to be geishas. How many men can say they married a geisha?
Well he's definitely far older than her ( I'm guessing in his mid to late 30's) and loaded af. Classic case of the young gorgeous woman marrying into money. Not hating but that's a fact
@SS-yv9cq Japanese women are pragmatic. They prefer a man who have a stable job and can ensure they will have a stable family life. Looks, age and performance in bed is secondary.
@HashSlingingSlasher2032 and he seems to be sweet too
Would never look at her as a model as to plain!
Wow! I just realized this is Sutan, the cute Japanese toddler who cooks with her mom 😍🥰 She grew up so well and is so articulate now. Good job, parents! 👏👏
Moe: “This is my husband”
Paolo: “OUR husband”
*edit*
I don’t think you guys UNDERSTOOD the joke here
😹thats sus
*SOVIET UNION ANTHEM INTENSIFIES*
Communism at it's finest!
Lol I died when he said "here comes our husband"
LMAO
Paolo sneaks into people's homes and they are too polite to say anything
this made me laugh so hard i hurt my throat
Hahahahaah thats good 😂👌
Paolo's probably a Pokemon protagonist
👍👍😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎👍👍👍👍
@subliminaleyecolor5279 I was wondering that and I laughed too
Everyone complaining that this family is upper class- did she take care of her baby less being upper class? She's still a mom with a baby.
You dont know anything about japan so shut your loud mouth
Tf with these responses lol
@dianamendoza9328 bcz you do? Bitch stfu
Yeah I agree with Cecily and bruh these responses...
What are people saying? Wow. People really romanticize struggle and it's disgusting! This mother works fucking hard.
The fact that I now follow Moe and sutan 5 years just from this video . She is now living in America starting grade 1 😢😢
What’s her socials?
@iheartshaneandjeffreeKimono mom! The whole family is doing great 🥰
Why does everyone in that house look so charming 😭
It's due to affluence. I live in Japan and the working class people here are so miserable, moreso than Americans. Most married couples hardly talk to each other except for what's needed to keep the lights on. Marriage here is a lot more contractual than the old "I'm getting married because he/she is my soul mate". A lot of men and women here choose marriage partners that would otherwise make great roommates that they won't have any domestic issues with and the vast majority opt to never have children, which is why the population growth is negative every year
Wow! thats really interesting, thank you!
Being able to put on a kimono well by yourself is considered a very elite skill.
well, she was a geisha
I think it’s very beautiful
@Lily-gz3ip nope, she only was a maiko, she did training for 6 years
Ada? Nani? Oi?
Hiyoko would understand. Since Mahiru is gone. But, that won't matter. Since, they're both gone.
This young mom made me feel lazy af. With everything she does and yet she's so calm & composed. 👌
she was on camera
I think many ppl missed the point that she was trained as a maiko / apprentice geisha for six years. She must have gone through a very rigid training regimen to be able to carry herself with grace and elegant like that. If anyone watched Memoirs of a geisha they probably know this line " a geisha is a moving work of art.
@minion5527 hon u r missing the point in America the most work women do is spread eagle! And even that is lame
Routine.
Japan is xenophobic
well a simple background check on a youtuber is a piece of cake. i would be hesitant as you, if some stranger unknown low subscriber youtuber ask me to collaborate on any shit they offered.
and off course only the open minded person will gladly appear as a main role in this "the day in a life" series. besides the fact that paolo had live in japan for a long time and surely have lots of connection and friends there, some of the casts in this series were also already appear as an open minded person in social media which is the type that paolo surely be pick to contact in asking for collaboration.
Lol im pretty sure they know about him as he is famous with 2 million subs
@Sam-pn2kc well I didn’t know about him. And he was famous with 2mil subs, right?
@banagan4604 based
I can’t even take how freaking cute this kid is.
Why nobady is agreeing with you?!
Exactly!!!!! The cutest i have ever seen (and I have a kid) ❤😁❤
What an angel~
I AGREE-
I agree so ADORABLEEE
Being a housewife is one of the most respectable jobs.
@Mary Harrison
That is sad.
@sennyoucrswl698
Housewives are losers? That's ridiculous.
What a sad society we live in.
There's nothing wrong with sharing roles in individual families. It doesn't matter if they work together, if only the woman earns an income, or whatever, there should be a "housewife" in the diversity.
I have nothing but respect for housewives. It’s so much work
Here in Africa it is soo and we love our mothers for it
3:11 THAT “damn” CAUGHT ME OFF GAURD
This is definitely a considerably high class Japanese family home.
Correct
Yes it is...I would put a door to the bedroom though
Okay liberal
Is it because of the apartment, the neighborhood, or that she gets to stay home with the baby ? Just wondering because in the USA we often don’t get paid maternity leave and it’s maximum 3 months so many moms end up staying home which is what I did for 5 years. But I would say that even for middle class families in a large city, an apartment like that would not be out of reach. So it makes me wonder how the average Japanese family lives..
I'd consider it a high class home in just about any country tbh
I could watch this womans life every day. Shes so inspiring as a mother.
I want a baby but I'm not even 16
So childish
Sumire Sumire one day you will have a baby! Give it time❤️
Haha my thought exactly. For some reason I watched this video so many times and also found Moe’s cooking RUclips channel.
@leilafranco249 Can u give me the channel name plz 🙏🥺
@periottt6896 baby fever lol
I love how cheery the dad is. He seems super chill and nice
Doing what he loves, making a fat stack, and coming home to a beautiful family he loves, a delicious meal, and a clean living space. This man did it. He's living the dream. I'd be grinning ear-to-ear daily if I had it like that.
If I was tapping dat I'd be cheery also
ikr that man seems to be having the best life, so as his wife and their baby
@blackattack1840 I'm sure he wishes he could actively see his daughter for more than an hour a day. Work-life balance is atrocious in Japan, this is known.
Oh course he's chill. He's got a maid a cook and a nanny.
You guys should COLLAB again!
You kickstarted her RUclips career as your first EP of Day is the Life and you both have your own products, the Umami Sauce and the Hot Sauce.
Love both the channels❤
So no one's gonna talk about how well-behaved the baby was ?!
LEB somewhat true. I agree that taking care of a child properly can have some influence on there behavior
CGI actor jk 😂
The crying was probably cutted out of the video.
She is trying to expose her child to english and she herself is in touch with her culture and educates people on how to wrap kimonons....👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
@miramare1378 you must not be an English Teacher.. this is literally so wrong in many different ways.
Mira Mare Wrong on so many levels
@miramare1378 that is false,my english is pretty good because my parents exposed me to english TV shows.
They clearely have alot of money but yet don't pay someone to take care of their child and that's just amazing, the mother is a super woman actually
But i don't have sure about what is right or wrong, so it does'nt matter what i write in an youtube comment.
yea they're actually pretty down to earth for such wealthy people...I believe a house like this in Tokyo would cost several million US dollars
4 years later little sutan is a star
I am watching this video now that Sutan is 3 years old. I now understand why Sutan's verbal skills are so advanced. Moe spoke to her all the time when she was an infant . Also she has such thick hair! So adorable.
Same
Me too 😅
As of now she is 4 😭😭😭😭
@multimultimulto Time flies by so quickly😢
She got a divorce I believe
Husband works in restaurant business but still eats wife’s homecooking. Lovely. And wife is a queen who took cooking classes for herself and family. Love it
My husband was working in restaurant for 47 years but always before he go to work he eats my home cooking.
@zdenkamadison This video isn't about you or your husband. Celebrate Moe.
@LOUD_NOVA chill. Send love 💗
I know several chefs and they will eat ANYTHING after a 12 hour shift as long as they don't have to cook it themselves, often they even eat frozen dinner when they have days off just to avoid making the food themselves.
@LOUD_NOVA lol chill
Is no one going to talk about how cute the baby is? Like her eyelashes!!!!
大変キュートな赤ちゃん。👶 お母さんとほぼ同じぐらいかわいいらしいですねえ ・ ・ ・
Sutan is as cute as a button. Almost as cute as her mom. In 15 or 20 years she will look just like Moe.
I was thinking the same thing! Her cheeks and huge eyes are killing me 😭💕
She's beautiful.
SO CUTE not to mention the fucking hair omg!!!! Beautiful
her cheeks looks so fluffy makes me wanna pinch them
4 years later Sutan still acts the same 💖
"Most hospitals in Japan don't give mothers the option of anesthesia or painkillers."
For tomorrow's story: "Why are birth rates dropping in Japan?"
@Blessed are the Wicked OK, the joke is that women in Japan aren't typically given painkillers for child birth. A lot of people would hear that and decide to not have kids, thereby avoiding the pain.
I am a happy mother of two
But if I had to give birth in Japan, without the painkillers
I would seriously rethink
@jeesunie
I've had three all natural (not on purpose) and you forget just how bad it was cause it's totally worth it... obviously cause I did it two more times!
@ NRPax OK, and the logical thought processing is that’s not the case because in African POOR countries that don’t have that either is exploding with population
I gave birth without having painkillers though, painful yes, but it was fulfilling.
Paolo: can you speak English?
Baby: 👁👄👁
BAHAHHAHAHAAHAHA
Repent of your sins and follow Jesus Christ almighty
@Hi-xu9xn ......
@Hi-xu9xn I hope you are no longer trapped in Bibble lies and Christian apostasy
@zephyrus5334 that is just their beliefs don't attack them for their opinion not everyone is christian or believes in god
im confused by the "ugh they're rich" comments.
It's because HK has worker which is hard to find easily in Japan.
Okay so can you tell me where these tupes of comments are?
The house is so small there’s not even a separate bedroom... crazy!
This is how I met Sutan, how the time fliesss😢
Many people comment "oh it's easy for them bcs they are rich and her husband has some restaurants" BUT please highlight these :
1. She doesn't hire maid. It's easy for her to hire one bcs they are rich, right?
2. She wakes up early morning to do house chores and cook for her husband
Picture Paolo opening the secret door to the karaoke room just to see a yakuza member singing baka mitai 😅
jesus christ..
For anybody that says they don’t look rich, the train station they used was jiyugaoka which is a super fancy area and a house there would cost over a million usd. Just FYI.
That's what I was guessing. How do poor moms take care of babies in micro apartments, with all the extra stuff babies require?
Looking at their house and the restaurant the husband runs (plus the fact that he runs multiple), I assumed they were rich
i'm guessing its not hard for a woman that looks like that to find a rich man willing to stick a baby in her. she'd have to have the personality of a potato, or a drug habit.
They have a yard in Tokyo. That's what told me that they were very very well off. A yard even that size in a city that has approximately a third of Canada's population...
Rachel E. They have a good situation but they dont ritch you know
him coming home and his wife pouring him a beer and then just eating together looked so comfy
I'm part Japanese, and my partner is Mexican, and he loves this type of time spending/care too :)
Sure that's done in the editing and the whole video was very planned out in advance like most motion pictures or shows when they put characters with no money simple jobs in very fancy apartments, expensive designer clothing as movies are illusions.
@johnandrew1727 bla bla bla
Wait she’s was drinking the same thing as her husband but she said she trying to avoid alcoholic drinks
@johnandrew1727 True
京都で舞妓さんやってたからなのか京都弁めっちゃ綺麗、、女の私でも惚れそう。
She is only 27 and my GOD looks and behaves so SO mature. She an amazing role model
She is very pretty
S.Adriadne Navarro What? You really expect a 27 year old to act like a teenager? She's acts perfectly for her age🤦🏻♂️
hi karin
Right I'm 27 and look at memes and watch RUclips
@-_--_--- hahahahaha most 27 year olds def arent this mature and organized, atleast in the usa. I know several who are still trying to get the hang of adulting despite working full time.

Mika Rvll JAJAJAJAAJAJAJAJAJ
That's sounds like my moms house back in the day. Sun not even up yet, she turns on my bedroom light looking for dirty clothes...
" Ah, ma! ".
you cracked me up
Latin moms be like "make your baby get used to the noise" hahaha lol
God bless her
You changed her life!
Despite her doing sooooo much within a day, she makes it look so relaxing if that makes sense? She's so organised and calm about everything
@selena asson yeah, that too 😂😂
@flon5720Your English is great! Don't question yourself. ♥️
It all makes sense when Paolo mentioned that she used to be a Geisha apprentice in Kyoto for 6 years. Because it's really really hard... No wonder she has become what she is now. Really poised and patient person.
I agree with you
This guy lucked out. That woman is beautiful, pure in heart and very hard working
arielartista Husband works late at night to make sure his family has everything and she can have free time to enjoy doing her hobbies and hanging out with her friends. Both make a good couple 🙂.
I think this guy earns more than 35million yen per year (about $320,000/y), which makes him very popular among girls in Tokyo.
@gbmpyzochwfdisurjklvanetxq what are you talking about
gbmpyzochwfdisurjklvanetxq lol
@gbmpyzochwfdisurjklvanetxq I don't know
Tell me
She is so polite, and very persistent and has so much patience. Her husband too. A beautiful family, I love it :)
they were always those things, just women have spent decade trying to prove that its hard work sadly. I literally don't want kids because its too hard work 🤣
@girlnotlocal me too
japanese are the most polite people in the world
@PaganMin-19XX on the surface they are polite. But eventually, they are just human beings complete with all the flaws
Smh I hate weaponized incompetence
Cant believe this was over a year ago. Sutan has grown so much.
I thought this video was her peak cuteness, but no, she's still evolving into the ultimate cutepie that she is 😂
omg I thought you had a typo and wanted to say satan
How can you say that
That is so mean
I hope you get diabetes
@midnft285 how is saying that a baby has grown is mean?
@midnft285 i hope you get diabetes
She's 27 and I'm 26. I can't imagine being a full time housewife like her... really respect her...
White Wild Are you from Middle East?
ms.marie What the fuck does that have to do with anything?
Noice The Jetski. In the Middle East, the majority of the woman are expected to marry and have birth at a young age (Teens to Twenties)
Your Girl Sasha most people all around the world give birth around their 20s or early 30s anyways.
Damn, she's a REALLY good mom. That baby is gonna be something great
She really is. If you watch her youtube channel - which is a cooking channel - she will always stop what she is doing to take time to pay attention to her daughter.
@Elma D. me too but i dont wana be married TwT
@dioswaifu1530 well you can always adopt 😊 . There is nothing wrong with being a single parent
@breadpitt6342 ok :)
2:02 the way sutan tried to give me a lollipop was too cute☺🥺❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Nobody is going to talk about the baby’s eyelashes😭🥺
I was Just gonna say bout that 🤭
Ikr! There so cute and she is too!
Thteena they on FLEEK ✨
The mother and daughter has a youtube channel the name is KIMONO MOM...
Nobody's going to talk about how this woman did her hair and kimono so flawlessly and effortlessly.
How is this woman more productive in one day that I have been in my entire life
I have a 5 mth old, and watching this exhausted me! I also make most meals fresh at home and some days I still feel like I live in the kitchen.
@dominicabollig1918 this video isn’t about you. Celebrate moe
Because otherwise she is out on the street!!! 😂😂😑
Sike 🤣🤣
@undefeatedduck5808 Bro why r u so rude.
japanese moms: *dosent make a noice while the baby is sleeping*
My Polish mom: *gossips with my grandma at 2 am on skype while screaming*
Happy Tea LMAOOOOOOOOO
lol you're so funny
@Samanta Kurowska im 13 :(
😂
Both moms are good :))
The baby is adorable, well behaved... Of course, mom talks to her, keeps showing her daughter what she's doing.
Her husband runs several restaurants and she didn't cook before marriage but she makes him a lunch and he comes home to a dinner that she prepared for the two of them. So sweet.
She is a bloody good cook going by her youtube channel (which is a cooking channel)
@glenbe4026 link please
@bishanmeitei3984 Her channel name is "Kimono Mom". She cooks with her daughter
Exactly, her hudband is so sweet with her wife.
A tomar por culo
@faniari Se refiere a su mujer no a él. Y la verdad siento como si fuera una sensación un tanto esclava en ella. Sobretodo por la forma en como la habrán educado...
It’s nice to see men showing appreciation and respect for mothers and wives of their own culture. It’s pleasant to see🙂
I agree it is very heartwarming
Yeah, let's see when the other way around happens.
I like how they show respect for each other.
@TheChrisey that's nice too. Everyone loves to be appreciated 😊
Kiei Luahi the moment he mentioned “her husband runs multiple restaurants” I was like oh- that explains everything. I mean it IS obvious🤣
This episode should have been called day in the life of a rich Japanese mom haahhahahahhahaha
Yeah but isn't it still too small for a person who owns couple of restaurants??
@yummychips_ Ah oki good to know. Thank you for the info. :)
Lmao looking back I subscribed to Moe's channel....and I was thinking where did Sutan got her chaotic personality...cuz Moe's very refined, elegant, I just recently watched her videos again...and Sutan's personality is def from her Mom 😅😂
This women is naturally beautiful
Meanwhile in America
*Pollution*
Dinno Nuggets hows that rude when it's true tho?
Dinno Nuggets I dunno if that persons gonna do anything about their comment or not but weither they do or not just take it as a joke
@EclispeCheiver I meant it in a humorous way but I still think it's true.
Everyone is really

@Arianna Li so true, she looks so cute
I bet it's all that good food she eats
Those eyelashes were so pretty on her!

And now Sutan is the cutest kitchen buddy a mom could ever have.
It's honestly so wholesome-
What's the channel called?
Oh awesome thanks!
Kimono mum? She is amazing
The baby looks so squishyyyyy and she’s got a little sparkle in her eye. Absolutely gorgeous
you're going to be the grandmother that pulls our cheeks, haha.
FBI open up
That baby is so kissable
@dogwrld9796 Japanese babies looks cute because their parents know how to properly raise them. Karens on the other hand, makes every baby looks punchable when they turns 9
Gorgeous isn't a word I'd use to describe a baby
Her: **makes breakfast quietly**
My mom: **BAKES AGGRESSIVELY**
Why are pans so loud early on the morning 😭
Hahahahahaha!!!!!!
Watching this again knowing that Miss Moe reached this far on her journey, and how Sutan grown up from a very cute baby to a lovable and witty little girl ❤❤❤❤
I love that modern women are still wearing the kimono....She looks gorgeous in it
Didn't they say in the video though that people only wear it on occasions and most young ladies don't even know how to tie it themselves anymore? It's quite a shame that a lot of culture is slowly vanishing through the globalisation. Everyone just wants to be modern/Western nowadays :(
She looks gorgeous in anything :)
@saxon_ukht lol same with westerner a lot of them wants to be eastern
beautiful, i agree
When you're in a country where women don't drink the feminist kool-aid... they tend to play their natural gender role; which is being a woman and they feel natural and comfortable.
Whole time Paolo was making this video he got a good crash course on what to expect in a few months lol
Yeah, it was great learning experience!
Oh wait.
@PaolofromTOKYO And your whole outlook on life will change too after you meet your child. Good luck sir and loving these videos!
What is that yellow symbol in your name and how do you get it??
The mom is an absolute beauty, and the baby... I can’t with that adorable face!
But the most interesting is to see how different cultures live, I love seeing that!
👌👍
🎯 🍿
Dita v D Right??
Considering Japanese industry I'm waiting for him to saying, "now it's time for her to have affair with Paolo"
Me too. It's very fascinating.
@MissusNightmare 6:40
Sutan got so big 🥰🥰
From the perspective of myself living in Tokyo, they must be richest class. Please note that is not a standard Japanese life.
Even in rural town, that kind of house is very expensive. Over 200000¥ a month in Tokyo?
this is the comment I am looking for.The traditional costume that the wife was wearing is very expensive
MasterMAT I think in Tokyo that kind of house that large space, not an apartment is basically not for rent. But if we were to live in a house like this for rent, it would certainly exceed 200,000 yen.
So true
really? why did she ride the subway?
As a Japanese i envy her lifestyle... she’s such a talented mom managing childcare and housing choirs while maintaining her career as a Kimono teacher. She’s a highly cultural women and not to mention, she has that sweet baby and husband! What else to wish for? God bless you three
Hello from Germany
本物大和撫子ですね。
By looking at her lifestyle.. She seems quite rich... Specially the house... Can u tell me m I right
Steffi Gomes yup she’s definitely in the upper class
@babymilkshake729 True and they did say that the father runs multiple restaurants 😊
So nobody’s gonna talk abt how beautiful this woman is?…
And classy, and hardworking, and likes to read...Her family is so lucky :)
Noice
She looks so younger and beautiful ❤️
Actually I think she looks more like Korean rather than Japanese
@maxpower4504
I do not think so.
Most Korean idols have plastic surgery for double eyelids and nose.
However,
I think some Koreans with single eyelids are beautiful.
This Japanese woman has no plastic surgery.
9:02 nah in Germany the insurance pays everything
Omg lucky
Why's he sound like he's narrating a nature documentary?
Psychonauts ikr
He does not want to disturb the wild life - the baby.🤣🤣

Everyone’s talking about the mother and the baby but the husband at the start was so wholesome-

revisit this legend video after watched their newest vlog about moving to US. I have just realized that her husband is really supportive and appreciate what Moe did. even now he left his job and accompany Moe to follow her dream. I am so proud of this family, I am currently raising a daughter too, and I really look up to Moe and Sutan's relationship, I hope we can have their bonding too..
It’s amazing to have winterse their journey, isn’t it. Best of luck to you too!
When a baby is born with better eyelashes than you 😭😭
When you're a dude and you have gorgeous eyelashes better than your female friends.

Both of mine were!
When you have long eyelashes but you're naturally blonde so they aren't dark and pretty 😭

My closet is connected to where my mom does the laundry and it almost always wakes me up when she does laundry in the morning
I sometimes feel bad for raising my kid in a studio apartment but watching moms in Japan make it seem normal. I won't feel as insecure about it anymore!
Baby started crying and then was like “nah too early”
I’m the first reply😏
Hah😄
Babys are more like: I don't care what time it is I'ma scream
No ones gonna comment on the baby’s eyelashes?
What about sutan? Satan...
It’s almost like she’s an Asian Baby Girl
No.
