I remember BEGGING my mom for nearly 6 months to buy me an Ngage... Never have i been more glad that she bought me a real phone and a new gameboy advance instead! Also, the worst console i ever played was the Intec Interact. It had the flimsiest controller ever, the games were nearly unplayable and there were only a few games released for it. It overheated constantly, and the metric ton of addons for the system served little purpose and only made the already deeply terrible games even less playable...
I disgree with the N-gage part, agreed that N-gage was a bit shit, yet later Nokia released updated version N-gage QD, which was much better, along with easy removal facility of the memory card slot, which doesn't require to remove the battery. The phone was also performing well, with no issues in dialing / answering. I had used the device for almost 3 years, and was more than satisfied with it's performance, even the games were awesome in it. Most important, it featured Bluetooth multiplayer on a portable device, back in 2006, which was great.
A redo of my two favorite lists ("Top 10 Worse Consoles" and "Another Top 10 Worst Consoles")! And this time, there's no "Sega CD" on the list! Good move, in that regard.
Realize that some of these consoles have names as if they're trying to be cool. Ngage, Rzone.... Well we have the Xbox so meh, I guess it doesn't really matter.
I know... James Rolfe proved that the R-zone is EASILY the worst. Tiger electronic in "headache red" half an inch from one eye... I'd rather play virtual boy for 3 hours straight than even hold an R-zone
Highretrogamelord if Apple isn't at least 6 of the 10 on the list, then I refuse to believe it. The Macintosh worshippers shall know, that I am very serious when I say this, Apple computers and Apple phones suck. With maybe the exception of the Apple II.
I'm not all too familiar with Apple products. I got an Apple Macbook from my time when I did my apprenticeship as a foreign language correspondence clerk, but I don't use it unless my PC is broken. I have made gameplay videos of Apple II games and it certainly has the best educational games from any home computer plus some really great RPGs...that's all I can say to the Apple II.
Used to have the Nokia N-Gage because it looked cool at the time, i even bought the QD version cause i was that obsessed with the phone. I just damn knew it was a video game console, didn't even know it had a card slot for the games!
The hardware for the 5200 was based on that of the Atari 400/800/XL/XE line of computers, so how can that be a failure? Only the switch box, the size of the console and the controllers sucked. Get over it, haters.
I'll never forget when a buddy of mine from Thailand got real surprised when I ripped on the NGage, because apparently it was really popular in his country to the point pretty much everyone had one.
The OUYA 2 is MUCH better than the original, it's basically actually good. Also there is a redesign of the N-Gage, called the N-Gage QD, which is MUCH MUCH better than the original.
I hate the CD-I. The games are just as plain bad as you see. The graphics were drawn in a very poor version of MS Paint ( I'm of course talking about the cutscenes ).
What was worse for the Gizmondo was that the that the System itself was made from a really bad polymer and after a number of years they started to actually melt into a pile of gooey plastic and microchips. And the CDi had battery issues that required you to crack open that thing to attempt a repair. Both consols deserved to be on this list.
Alucard The Hedgehog you're dumb. Here's an actual list: 10. Earthworm Jim (a much better version of the game) 9. Rise Of The Dragon 8. Panic 7. Lunar: The Silver Star 6. Popful Mail 5. Road Avenger 4. Vay 3. Sonic CD 2. Lunar II: Eternal Blue 1. Snatcher You obviously don't own or have never played a Sega CD.
I loved laserdisc. It's a dead technology but I still have a library of laserdisc movies and 3 players. The LaserActive was lame and that's coming from a gamer since the 80s.
Regarding #1: Hotel Mario and the three Zelda games "live in infamy" because of the cutscenes. Aside from those, the games actually range from okay to pretty decent.
Xbox one is better. backwards compatibility and being able to multitask via watching sports and playing great games. plus we have better exculsives crackdown 3 any body can't wait for it to release
The R-Zone is a perfect example of a really good idea that was simply ahead of its time. By that I mean the available hardware simply wasn't good enough to make the concept work. If you did it today you'd be able to use full colour graphics and a much faster frame rate plus of course the headset wouldn't be anywhere near as bulky. VR is something we're all going to use eventually, it's just a matter of waiting for the tech to become affordable to the average user. Like laser disc which eventually led to DVD and blu-ray.
R-Zone is arguably the better candidate for being called the predecessor to the modern VR gaming than Virtual Boy, simply because the R-Zone was ACTUALLY portable. :P
The Wii was AMAZING despite horrible third party games by Data Design Interactive. We had Mario Galaxy 2, and many more amazing games. The Wii was a casual gaming masterpiece.
My dad told me he remembered laser discs, but never really understood the point when I watched the original. He told me just now they were basically cd's mad to be the size of vinyls to inspire nostalgia... Now is that the stupidest thing ever or what?
I still have my Nokia N-gage and it still works. The games are outdated but I still take it out the relic room and play with it. Long bus rides home from college were not so bad because of it.
I have the R zone somewhere around my old house, a type of old vr jurassic park game which looked similar and some weird poweranger thing where you put a helmet on and some wire that was attached to your hand and leg
Here are my picks for top 10 worst video game consoles (a redux of my last list, so check that out on Another top 10 worst video game consoles, to see any difference) 10) Sega CD and 32X 9) Game com 8) Ouya 7) Panasonic real 3D interactive 6) Virtual Boy (even with it's failure, Nintendo should try VR gaming again. Take notes from the Playstation VR) 5) R-Zone 4) Atari Jaguar 3) Nokia N-gage 2) Atari 5200 1) Philips CD-I (Funny how the CD-I would inspire Sony to create the Playstation, 3 years later)
I'm sorry, I know that I am going to get a lot of hate for this, but the Wii...far from the worst video game console, but a bit overrated looking back on it. Sure, the motion controls were great for casual gamers, but having an entire console based on this gimmick can only get you so far. And yeah, Nintendo made some amazing first-party titles for the system like Wii Sports, Mario Kart Wii, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy...uh...Metroid: Other M...Wii Party...ok, most of them were amazing...but again, you can only go so far with the motion controls, and I think that's why most third-party games on the Wii were trash. Trying to do something as simple as typing your name on the Wii without the cursor jittering all over the place was a chore, and since it is no longer capable of online play, the only place it's good for now is a retirement home. The Wii may have been a great idea at first, but now, it feels more like a product of its time. And yes, I know motion controls are still being used for the Nintendo Switch, but that was NOT designed with motion controls being the main selling point.
Say what you will about the Virtual Boy, some of the games on it were actually not bad. I'm siding with the AVGN in saying the R-Zone is worse. Even though they both have terrible monochrome graphics, I'd rather lean into a set of binoculars than close one eye to see stiff, obsolete wire frames.
Apparently.... rumors say that Atari are in fact making a new game console, so no, atari didn't stop making consoles, they just took a break from making consoles
But if it weren't for CDi then the Playstation would have been Nintendo's first disc based system and Sony never would have entered the game hardware market
how to make this list make sense 101 1 Replace the Jaguar with Pippin its not that bad! 2 Replace The N-gage with Gizmondo once again its not that bad 3 No matter what happens make he R zone number 1
What about the commodore 64 GS that was a C64 but without the keyboard, plus the bundled game, terminator 2 was unplayable as you had to press any key to get past the title screen.
From what I understand the Jaguar didn’t have a 64-Bit processor but had both a 16-bit and 32-bit processors and both would give the illusion of 64-bits
Both 'Link: The Faces of Evil' and 'Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon' would actually have been decent games had the CDi controller not sucked. The so-bad-they're-good cutscenes alone are worth playing them for. 'Zelda's Adventure" is pretty terrible, though
The Virtual Boy was the nightmarish hell of a game console that traumatized me for life! It is eerily on display at Nintendo NY (Nintendo World). Also, my family had the Action Max (Man I feel so old).
Sometimes my local steep discount store gets Hyperscans in for $20, I never bought it but I may if I see it again. Would be a good collectors item methinks.
The amstrad gx4000 from your defective video game tech list should be number one, considering it explodes if you don't plug things in in the right order. What a ridiculously dangerous piece of crap.
"The R-Zone is just a shixxy version of the Virtual Boy. Yes, I did just said that, as if the Virtual Boy isn't shixxy enough." AVGN Episode 113

what's "shixxy"?
QR One shixxy is shity

Sounds like a smart mom
I wonder how the list would look like without AVGN...
I was hoping to see some clips of him bashing the CD-I or R-zone or Virtual Boy
And the 3DO
And the Two Atari Dungheaps.
And HyperScan :) Although he didn't smash it in the video...
And the Game.com in episode 113
5:04 The Gameboy Advance SP was literally the first handheld I ever owned, And it's games were great! (Except for Sonic 1 GBA)
Nightmares of those Zelda games still haunt me...
Make it stop!
MrsTokyo and the hotel mario one
Thy FACES OF EVIL!
zelda wand of gamelon 😫😥
They make great YTPs though
MrsTokyo i cann't wait to bomb so dadodos
Let's just stick with Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, etc

Don’t forget the Genesis, 2600, and the underdog Dreamcast
Sega

The Taco is a nuclear weapon
its unbreakable and when you drop it from very high altitude it can destroy the entire planet
3:20 "upgrading characters using separately purchased cards". It's a good things a system like that isn't coming back *cough Battlefront 2 *cough
Anyone remembers Laserdiscs?
Yeah, i do thanks to Regular Show.

Nolan Is Innocent
At least that crappy name led to a great console.
I mean, "XBOX" is better than It's original name based on it's Windows gaming API technology. "DirectX Box", would have just been awkward.
The taco wasnt a bad console. It was an awkward phone
I actually want a taco phone. That would be really cool!
Sam Jewell I had 2. Loved em. I remember playing FIFA with my friend over Bluetooth
It tried to be both and failed at both.
"Must play the Taco Phone." - Gir
Wait, you made a list on all of these counsoles, and not ONCE use a clip from the Angry Video Game Nerd? He reviewed almost every console you listed!
CK-was-HERE no one cares
I know... James Rolfe proved that the R-zone is EASILY the worst. Tiger electronic in "headache red" half an inch from one eye... I'd rather play virtual boy for 3 hours straight than even hold an R-zone
How the fuck R-Zone is better than Atari 5200? The 5200 at least didn't give you headaches and the games were good arcade ports
He even briefly reviewed the N-Gage, a year ago.
@Vince RusBro Who asked you to correct someones spelling?
Top 10 best / worst home computers.
YES DEFINITELY
That doesn't work. All the best home computers are custom built.
Used to have the Nokia N-Gage because it looked cool at the time, i even bought the QD version cause i was that obsessed with the phone. I just damn knew it was a video game console, didn't even know it had a card slot for the games!
Wait....so you never knew it could play games?
Wait, there were 3 Zelda games on the c-di?
Yep they were:
Link: The Faces of Evil
Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon
Zelda's Adventure
TheDuckClock I wasn't aware of Zelda's adventure, but considering it sounds like I didn't miss anything by not playing them
scarlet night I wasn't aware of Zelda's Adventure either until Avgn.
Dont worry you def didnt miss out. Your life will be worse if you play it
How could you not know this?
You forgot to mention the virtual boy would cause you to red spectrum blindness
Me: *Sees Zelda game*
Also me: *Rubs eyes*
“Yup, that’s what I saw.”
The R Zone should have been way higher
Do the Top 10 Nokia Phones!
Do you make a video about top nokia phone
yeafif shahe that would be snake, space impact, and bounce for me
How am I not surprised that the Phillips CD-i is on the number one spot?
Virtual Boy was Nintendo's first and only failed console.
Doctor Awesomeness you forgot the cd-i, although not a direct release they still had involvement
I'm surprised, and kinda glad, that nobody mentioned the Wii U. I mean, sure, it didn't sell well, but it's not a total failure.
And the Wii U.
Chaos89P It's an okay console, not the worst.
Only failed console? Lmao... sure... cause the Wii U was so successful
8:55
Id rather bleach my eyes with the mlp 1980s movie
The hardware for the 5200 was based on that of the Atari 400/800/XL/XE line of computers, so how can that be a failure? Only the switch box, the size of the console and the controllers sucked. Get over it, haters.
it could have been a great system
The 5200’s trap door was meant for the controller? I thought it was meant for a bottle of rolling rock.
Is this the video that had to get redone, due to copyright infringement on gurularry?
At least the Philips CDI was essential to RUclips Poops :)
Phillips CD-I was the best it spawned so many memes
That's the pride of the CD-i, but my only positive towards it. Also, let's give it credit for its legacy as an inspiration of RUclips Poop.
Is that Todd Howard in the LaserActive commercial?
At least the 5200 made Pac-Man playable.
I felt bad for the people behind the Ouya. They seemed to actually care about their product but the mobile market beat them to the punch.
0:13 voice crack????
8:55 that laughing creeps me the f**k out
Kinect and PlayStation Move
I dont call them consoles. Plus their not that bad as these ones on the list
Firstly, they are add-ons, not consoles, secondly ps vr uses ps move controllers for some reason
Those aren’t consoles lol
They're not CONSOLES. They're add-ons. There's an difference!
kinect isn't bad, I own one
I'll never forget when a buddy of mine from Thailand got real surprised when I ripped on the NGage, because apparently it was really popular in his country to the point pretty much everyone had one.
Why can’t you hear a pterodactyl use the bathroom
Because the p is silent
Metro Lggin ha ha worst dad joke ever 5 year old boy learn better jokes
The OUYA 2 is MUCH better than the original, it's basically actually good.
Also there is a redesign of the N-Gage, called the N-Gage QD, which is MUCH MUCH better than the original.
Dislike if u like Philips CDI
Like if u don't
I hate the CD-I. The games are just as plain bad as you see. The graphics were drawn in a very poor version of MS Paint ( I'm of course talking about the cutscenes ).
It has hotel mario so I totally like it
WEEGEE INCLUDED
What was worse for the Gizmondo was that the that the System itself was made from a really bad polymer and after a number of years they started to actually melt into a pile of gooey plastic and microchips. And the CDi had battery issues that required you to crack open that thing to attempt a repair. Both consols deserved to be on this list.
Super like 👏👏👏 Very Good vidéo 🌏
Why is your name in script?
It says that the person likes birds...
Finna Nut Yo he is bin laden dad
you are master really?
Philips CD-i may have failed as a console, but succeeded as a meme!
but philips didnt get any money out of those memes. : (

8 Sonic CD
7 Sonic CD

5 Sonic CD
4 Sonic CD
3 Sonic CD
2 Sonic CD
1 Sonic CD
Honorable Mention: Sonic CD
Dr.Mad Wasn't that the one with the Marky Mark and Kris Kross "music video games"?
Alucard The Hedgehog you're dumb. Here's an actual list:
10. Earthworm Jim (a much better version of the game)
9. Rise Of The Dragon
8. Panic
7. Lunar: The Silver Star
6. Popful Mail
5. Road Avenger
4. Vay
3. Sonic CD
2. Lunar II: Eternal Blue
1. Snatcher
You obviously don't own or have never played a Sega CD.
Juaquin Rodriguez man I was kidding
You forgot to mention the CD-I indirectly caused Sony to become a huge competitor to Nintendo
*ATTENTION COMMENT SECTION. I HAVE A VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO GIVE YOU:*
Never date a cross eyed person. They could be seeing someone on the side!
you tried
I loved laserdisc. It's a dead technology but I still have a library of laserdisc movies and 3 players. The LaserActive was lame and that's coming from a gamer since the 80s.
The N Gage failed because it sounds like Nick Cage
Ryan Herrmann lol
i would scream like that if i played the rzone
Be sure to subscribe for more "Great" content. Nice one watchmojo
saugat J they ran out of ideas...
Never
Why are you here if you hate the channel so much?
To give his opinion. What else?
Also, what's with this "If you don't like it, don't watch it" line?
twoonesix- ikr how are you gonna know to hate it if you don't watch it?
Regarding #1: Hotel Mario and the three Zelda games "live in infamy" because of the cutscenes. Aside from those, the games actually range from okay to pretty decent.
3:28 I just looked at the captions and it said the N word
read the description. It says MOFOS
It's true
Genesis will always be the best
I remember, when the Nokia N-Gage commercial in my country. But I never thought it was an epic fail. :)
you forgot one console..
FAILSTATION
Sri Lestari You mean
FAILBOX
so you support a console that has no games 🤣🤣🤣🤣 good luck finding God of War and Uncharted for Xbox One
I think both the Xbox and PlayStation are equally great consoles
cool video dude keep up with good work
Where is Xbox 1
Dillpill Dude in my house
It's a great console, if you're not about Xbox One...
said fucked up ps4 owner?
Xbox one is better. backwards compatibility and being able to multitask via watching sports and playing great games. plus we have better exculsives crackdown 3 any body can't wait for it to release
KingMichaelV - WoT PS4 um is that Russian I don't understand. don't think I'm insulting you I just don't understand
Nintendo Wii too! 👍
Jay Kay no i grew up on that
Wii is awesome
The Wii was AMAZING despite horrible third party games by Data Design Interactive. We had Mario Galaxy 2, and many more amazing games. The Wii was a casual gaming masterpiece.
The Wii is not that great, but I give it credit for its action-packed games and getting people fit.
Turn on your captions. And look at 3:32
Is that Matt Damon in the Action Max commercial?
80's and 90's console TV ads were something to behold
My dad told me he remembered laser discs, but never really understood the point when I watched the original. He told me just now they were basically cd's mad to be the size of vinyls to inspire nostalgia... Now is that the stupidest thing ever or what?
laser discs came before CDs
OUYA was indeed big failure... but saying "controller was beyond stupid" is quite overstatement. It wasn´t great, but definetly usable.
And there are so many people who think microtransactions are new. I remember so many of these and bought into some as a kid. Great memories
If I saw an ad for the virtual boy like this one I would be scared and say "It'll grab with a zipline!"
I don't think it's fair to say the Virtual Boy is worse than the R-Zone. At least it had some real games.
Believe it or not, there was a question about the Gizmondo in the game of Fibbage from the Jack Box Party Pack.
I still have my Nokia N-gage and it still works. The games are outdated but I still take it out the relic room and play with it. Long bus rides home from college were not so bad because of it.
Did you guys ever do a video dealing with amibos, Skylanders, and the Disney infinity figurine that you had to by each for like $16.00 or more?
I remember playing a snowboard game on Jaguar down at the local video store.
I have the R zone somewhere around my old house, a type of old vr jurassic park game which looked similar and some weird poweranger thing where you put a helmet on and some wire that was attached to your hand and leg
Here are my picks for top 10 worst video game consoles (a redux of my last list, so check that out on Another top 10 worst video game consoles, to see any difference)
10) Sega CD and 32X
9) Game com
8) Ouya
7) Panasonic real 3D interactive
6) Virtual Boy (even with it's failure, Nintendo should try VR gaming again. Take notes from the Playstation VR)
5) R-Zone
4) Atari Jaguar
3) Nokia N-gage
2) Atari 5200
1) Philips CD-I (Funny how the CD-I would inspire Sony to create the Playstation, 3 years later)
I remember hearing about an exclusive character in X-Men legends 2 for the n-gage and never knew what the hell that was until now.
I used to have the hyper scan I loved it, I found it recently and I was like....I liked this
You wanna bet that most of these worst consoles will be sold to collectors for ridiculously expensive prices nowadays!!!
You know how these things go.
6:50 That commercial is wrong, that's the infamous 2600 version, their own product.
Only problem is that a few of these are actually not truly the worst consoles.
This zelda games graphic visual are terrible and can give many gamer nightmares
1:54 OUYA CHACA OUYA OUYA OUYA CHACA I CANT STOP THIS FEELING
If an Underrated Consoles list hasn't been done, please do that (and put the Sega Dreamcast on there).
Apparently.... rumors say that Atari are in fact making a new game console, so no, atari didn't stop making consoles, they just took a break from making consoles
I once owned a Nokia N-Gage, R-Zone and a Game.com 😂 at the time I thought they were the future. I still think they were ahead of their time though.
But if it weren't for CDi then the Playstation would have been Nintendo's first disc based system and Sony never would have entered the game hardware market
Actually it was Sony's fault for the break up of them in Nintendo, they asked to have rights to all of nintendos owned franchises.
how to make this list make sense 101
1 Replace the Jaguar with Pippin its not that bad!
2 Replace The N-gage with Gizmondo once again its not that bad
3 No matter what happens make he R zone number 1
What about the commodore 64 GS that was a C64 but without the keyboard, plus the bundled game, terminator 2 was unplayable as you had to press any key to get past the title screen.
From what I understand the Jaguar didn’t have a 64-Bit processor but had both a 16-bit and 32-bit processors and both would give the illusion of 64-bits
In 2017, people still carry a phone and a handheld console. Switch. 3DS. 2DS. Vita.

Look at it this way: without the CD-i, we’d never have RUclips Poops.
The amstrad gx4000 from your defective video game tech list should be number one, considering it explodes if you don't plug things in in the right order. What a ridiculously dangerous piece of crap.
I had a R-zone but i had more fun warring it and pretending i was a marine from Aliens than actually playing it lol.
I had the NGage in 10th grade and at the time, it was awesome.
Which do you guys think is worse, R-Zone or Virtual Boy? I can’t share my opinion on this cause I haven’t played either.
