To get around the light flickering problem you have to match your frame rate with the frequency of the lights you are in. You need to shoot at frame rates that are divisible by the number of light pulses. So, in a 60 Hz AC area, you’ll need to shoot at 30, 60 or 120 fps.
Something that might help with the flickering is changing the shutterspeed (but you probably already knew that. Another trick that might work is in your timeline copy the video track to the track above and move the copy one frame over, and set the copy's opacity to 50%. Hope it works

Jon, if you experience that flickering light situation I have a trick in the edit for you (Adobe Premiere)! - Put your clip with the flickering light in the timeline - Copy the clip and place it on top of the first one - Drag the top clip 1 frame to the right - Set your opacity blending mode to "screen" - Voila! The flickering should be gone or reduced to minimal! * Added bonus: Because you're layering with the opacity blend mode turned to screen, your shot will become lighter! So perfect for low light situations! Hope this helps! Let me know if you are going to use it! Grtz from the Netherlands!

You wanna know why the light was flickering because it was a LED light and LED lights go on and off like 100 times in a minute. So if you film in slo motion you see the lights flickering
