hi! Im swedish. And I really think you picked up our etikett, our way to behave and treat eachother, even when you meet strangers... beautiful that you pick up and see how we are as people and how we treat other people in general. You are so sweeet and I'm glad to have you here. Tack för en bra utvärdering och förklaring hur vi behandlar varandra och vår etikett. Du är så fin. PUss Puss!! /Anna

I get the impression that you would enjoy a song by Povel Ramel, called "Ta av dig skorna"!

I think taking off your shoes makes sense, Swedish weather can be quite messy in terms of dirt/mud/slush and bringing that inside with your shoes is just nasty. It's also not nice to have your shoes on all the time, it's almost like asking to get trench foot. For the hamburger people that need something on their feet, just get a pair of slippers. They are super comfy, warm and you can have them indoors.
Edit: One thing I remember was that sometimes, you would wait for everyone to finish their food before going for seconds. I'm not sure how common this is in Sweden, I remember this from back when I was active in my local church. They would sometimes have taco night and you would wait for everyone to finish their meals before seeing if there was enough left for seconds.

I think its easy to understrand. I am finnish and lived 2 years in sweden. Taking shoes off should be normal :D

Rule no 1. Never point one if someone is breaking these rules.

I will show this video to my fiancée who is coming to Sweden next month because you bring up a lot of good points, she is from the Philippines so there are some cultural differences!
One interesting thing about lines is that in the Philippines, you often see these "priority lines" for like elderly people, disabled people or pregnant people but I have never seen those in Sweden! Perhaps we take this equality too far sometimes he he he, because maybe some people deserve to have shorter lines :) I don't know just an interesting observation.

      Oh, so sweet, thanks 💙
I saw priority seats on buses and trams for elderly, but yeah, not sure actually how it should be in the ideal world! But a nice topic to think about 💙

Really interesting to hear your view of my country and our customs. May I ask what country you are from? As a sociologist I am intrigued by different ways of everyday behaviour. Thank you.

Oh wow, that’s very interesting field! I wanted to not reveal for some time, thanks for your understanding!
Btw, what do you think is true and what isn’t from this video from your point of view? I like to compare my experience with locals 🥰

Que... with numbers? Nonono - every Swede thats gets to somewhere were others are waiting will take mental note of were they are in the "que" and wait their turn without any number needed - if someone else comes later they better find their place in the que and not cut before others because it just looks like a bunch of people standing around - they are all watching eachother making sure the queing is upheld!
(If you do cut in line you'll get angry eyes and if someone asks you better have a life threatening reason for cutting)

Its this I cant explaine the swedish etiquet system.. others that its quite flat!
Or like the Japanes guy in Finland on a company event talked to and later experience that it was his EEO of his company!
It would never happen in Japan! !!
But its do happen in Nordic countrys, where the structure is more flat.. get used to it.. talk to your table friend, you dont know him/her.. it could be your boss, both he and she.. or your boss wife/spouse, or your femal boss partner or husband!
Its why we kinda usualy try to use at least some sort of etiquette.. its usefull anyware els altso!
"Dont make fool of you! If ever do it at MC-Donalds and then newer ever return!

    • @KseniaPya

I actually really like that flat system, I think it’s more flexible comparing to strict Asian style

    • @stiglarsson8405
      @stiglarsson8405 2 дня назад +1

@@KseniaPya Its freaking more flexible.. its not that much that you use yuor CEO first name or even the owners first name.. as induviduals one is equal.. its that everyone have its purpose and should speak up, to anyone.. especialy to the CEO or the owner !
Especialy 'if one get to sit in the board of the company.. wich swedish laws says for unions.. two members of the unions in there board! One white collar and one blue collar I think was the thought?
Its still this.. swedes are used to this.. both good and bad companyes/owners.. soo keep the etiquette where ever you go/where ever you end up at!
And my best tip to make a fool of your self is still att MC-D.. or BK.. any place you can avoid later!
