Great video again! I started my journey with the Hydrow but the classes didn’t push me hard enough and I returned. I got the Ergatta and I loved the software, but the fact the foot plates were too close to each other drove me crazy/hurt my private parts and I returned. I just got the Aviron and I absolutely love this thing… the hardware is far superior and more comfortable and the software is great. The perfect tower machine would be the Aviron just the way it is with the Ergatta software 🤣🤣🤣

Travis! Great video, as always! I’m leaning towards the Ergatta… what a beautiful rower! And, the use of water is just perfect for what I would like to experience. The gaming aspect, while not a pull for me, is still an interesting focus. I’m glad they also included scenic content. Not sure if you said this one can control your workouts or not… I’ll check your full video to get the in-depth info. Thanks again, you’re really helping me with the research for me and my hubby.…we have plans for a dedicated home gym when he retires in 2 years ( right now we have a bits, and some good pieces, multi purpose room setup…which is not the ideal functionality ), and your videos have helped me add unknown companies/machines to our list! Plus, you do so much of the research/testing for me!!! And, your kids are too cute…looks like you’ve got some little athletes in the making!😃🙏🏽🤩

They have done a great job making these rowers a lot more fun with connected fitness. I do have some athletes on the way! A dancer, an all sports guy, and a muscle man (my 5 year old). I bought the ergatta and I like it, but I wish I would have bought the aviron since it is so much more game focused, which is what I wanted. But ergatta cs told me they have a new game coming in a few months, so hoping they get better with the games.
Makes sense but that is exciting. If they had a few really well thought out multi-player games to go with the current setup... it would be a lot of fun!
Hi! Do you have an update about live races in Ergatta? Is this possible? I can imagine that the push with trying to win the race against another person doing the same would be very different comparing to just racing someones old race.. I'm trying to decide between Ergatta and Aviron - supposedly Aviron does have the live races, if I understand correctly.
Thanks for this, it seems like with magnetic resistance the Aviron would be better suited to adjusting easily for multiple family members. Would you say that is correct? (Taking the difference in feel between water and magnetic resistance out of the equation)
Absolutely and good point. It is very easy to change the resistance so family members would quickly learn what they like and be able to dial in their preferred settings every row.

You can order A1 waterrower and add the Ergatta to it
Reminds me of an Android vs iPhone comparison. Aviron can do so many things and the Ergatta is simple.

Yeah, while they both have a manual mode if you only want the rower, it does require a subscription to use all the features I discussed.

ergatta requires a subscription to play any game, so that tipped the scales for me.
Yeah, most are going to have a subscription to use anything more than base functionality.
Does Ergatta insult people on their social media? If not then I would go with them
