These are one of the most popular shingles by far very common on upper middle class houses and a lot of HOAs require designer shingles instead of arch for the curb appeal, I see it a lot in HOAs where the roofs were all originally cedar shake or tile. That being said I'm located in Salem, OR so I can't speak on the popularity everywhere outside of Oregon.

Those are called dummy shingles here. We tar tab them or they will blow away. Great way to improve quality. Good work.

You always need intake venting at the gutter edge. You can't put ridge vent over gable vents

Don't nail the starter then the shingle around the flashing. Nail them both once through th shingle. Cut back the tops too

Not to poop on your work that is excellent, with a lot of attention to detail.
These shingles look awesome. and likely are one of the best on the market, until you see the clay tile roof next door and... that is how a roof should look like.
Never mind how well these shingles are installed, they will always look like they are printed on a sheet of paper and sticked to the roof.

Francisco Ruiz-Lugo..I'm a roofer sir, it would be useless to carry a camera along when i don't even have time to record anything, i only record probably, 1 minute per day if I have time. I put my customers first, rather than getting famous online. this videos ara aimed to installers that already have some knowledge about how to install shingles.
      thanks for watching !!

    • @mflugo9082

Si senior. Pero la quality of the videos would improve, and you'd be displaying quality roofing in your videos. Not only to the world, but to your customers. Okay wey gracias la videos.

I got your point ! but like a said before , not trying to get famous online , just posting some few tricks for the rest of installers that need new ideas, that's my way of thinking , my customers don't know that I upload videos online , I don't even mention it to them.
I get tons of companies trying to partnership with my channel , I reject all that , I don't need to do it , I make enough money doing what I do.
I don't even knock on doors anymore since 8 years ago.
This videos are aimed to the new installers so they can get better when they delivering a new installation.
I really appreciate the time you take to watch my videos ! I really appreciate your comments , it gives me new ideas and helps to keep going , I was going to close my channel last years.
I'm too busy doing my roofs that , the time I have for new videos is limited.
but thanks to viewers like you ! I'm here !
      Thank you !!
      Eric Garcia .

You are not installing your pipe flashings properly. First the flashing is too high on the course of shingles you lay the flashing on. You should have laid one more row of shingles, you are giving water more opportunity to divert sideways. Also per the Master Applicator spec, you should be applying Winterguard around the flashing. I know you are trying to hide all the flashing metal, but not at the cost of doing it wrong and it not being watertight in wind driven rain. Specifically: The flashing should go to or over the line of the pumpkin tooth pattern.

Primo no quieras impresionar con los pedazos de stater en el solartube lo mas importante es que le cortes las esquinas de arriba a los shingles por que de otra forma se va a meter el agua. No des consejos si no sabes mejor sigue aprendiendo

Those are one of the worst shingles to lay. They take forever and they're extremely heavy.
