Same trouble here. My Hisense 65AE7000F (only 2 1/2 years old) just stopped working from one day to another. No issues, no warning, nothing, it just quited, convinitely a couple of months after the warranty lol. When i hit the remote (example turn on, or another button like RUclips) or the button on the bottom on the TV, the typical red flash light blinks, but thats about it. No lights, no sound, nothig, just seeing emptyness, like watching a black hole. ps.: I definitely learned 2 things and that´s a good advice in life. 1) Have at least one electrion as a friend 2) Don´t buy Hisense. TV´s should have a life span of at least 5 years. My old one (also flatscreen 46inch) worked over 10 years without any problems and i´m not even starting to talk about those old buckets, cause they are indestructiable 😅 Ps ps.: please don´t mind the misspells, i´m from europe, so english isn´t my 1st languane and by now, 5 hours of struggling with my tv and a "couple of beers" later, i´m pretty much done. Cheers
OMG! I thought my TV was toast for sure. The power reboots I've used in the past. This time, I reset all of the HDMI inputs. Removing them all, with the power off, draining the power, and bingo, the damn thing came back on. I honestly can't believe it, and thought I was going shopping for a new TV tomorrow. I'm not sure if you covered this in your video, I've watched several, but it worked. I also disconnected my Xbox. Thx for any help. Oh, and I left the TV off for a good 1/2 hour at least. Tested my remote with the phone camera also. I hope this helps someone. The power reboots didn't work, the unplugging of the HDMI did.
@techtests Happened again. Repeated the procedure and pulled the back of the TV off. The back was covered with dust, so I used a hair dryer with a no heat setting, blew of all the boards, wiped the dust off the inside and it came back on for good. Wached TV for another 3hours, turned it off and the bliking light was gone. Finally! Oh, I also turned off the " HDMI turn off connected device" setting. I'm not exactly sure what worked, it just did. Thx again. BTW, I believe it was a CEC problem. I had just recently started playing a new Xbox game for long periods of time. Anyway, turning off the " Turn off connected devices" in the CEC section seemed to do the trick.
Update: shortly after the last post( maybe a week) the TV took it 3rd and final dump. Most likely one of the boards was failing on the back of the TV, so I ended up having to replace the TV anyway.
Apparently the Hisense ( and most other flat screens ) have a pinole sized reset button on the backside next to the HMDI ports. Drain power for 15 minutes , plug back in. Hold reset button for 15 seconds and then try to turn back on. TV is now working as it should. You will have to re sign in to your roku account but all apps stay , just have to sign in again. Good luck everyone , hope this helps yall like it did for me.
Mine will turn on the screen is black and the light blinks 14 times then it goes off again? I’ve tried cycling multiple times and removing the HDMI’s I have no idea how to go about working on it and can’t afford a replacement or a repairman, great just great, it’s only about maybe just under a year old
Nothing works but I know it's not the power supply because once I did get it to turn on after months of not working at all. So its' some weird software thing but I have no hardware reset button so I don't know how to reset it. These things are probably programmed to die so you'll buy a new one.
It’s not the power supply at all! 3 days ago my Hisense was perfectly fine until they FORCED an update which caused my hard earned TV to stop working. I read on Twitter many users noticed that the firmware they forced you to download was not applicable to certain models and bricked the motherboard. Ffs what the fuck. They just robbed me
Yep my hisense tv just did this this morning and I barely use this TV....I won't be buying another hisense or TCL my TCL did this in October and I had to buy another tv 😢
My Hisense stopped working mid watch. It died right after the 2 year mark. Right outside the extended warranty. I should have kept my 15 tear old Sony TV. Will not be purchasing a Hisense again.
Your not alone my Hisense too a crap too and I've been trying to get it working all day long, but my Sony is still running strong. No more Hisense Tv's....they should re-name them as LowSense or NoSense. Terrible Tv.
Funny how most peoples seems to brick it around the time the warranty is due to expire! My warranty expired two days ago! Today went to watch tv and I’m getting the flashing red light 😩

My Hisense tv display is very bad, it doesn’t have a clear background, until it get blanks completely….please what do I need to do regarding the reset?? Because I have tried to factory reset but no avail…
My hisense tv works perfectly fine no issues except when it’s on, the red light flashes 2 times every second or two. I did the unplugging, and held the power button, and plugged it back in, but it still flashes. The only inconvenience is the annoying red light flashing, other than that my tv works fine. How do I get it to stop flashing? I’ve also checked all plug-ins, everything is fine, and plugged in properly.
my tv was doing the same thing, i thought it was letting me know that its days were numbered, but it turns out the wifi information wasn't up to date and it wasn't connected to the internet, i never noticed because i don't use any of the apps on the tv itself. once i updated the wifi info it went away.
Mine is shutting off, then back on and I see Hisense Roku Tv, red light flashes 10 times, goes black then Hisense Roku tv and red light flashes another 5times before it reloads my homescreen with the apps. I have checked updates; unplugged for up to 20 minutes; gone so far as to do a factory reset. The only thing the later did was give me a headache signing into every thing again. This has been going on at least 10 months and is getting worse. What is it? Some times I can't even watch a tv show that's 40 minutes without it doing so at least a half doz times. If it matters, it's 50" screen and abt 4yrs old.
I've watched your other video but I still didn't see my problem and I've tried searching. I have a black screen but blinking red light. I used a light to shine on the screen and I can see hisense roku in the green start up logo but it's flashing as well but can only see it with a flashlight.
Can someone tell me how I open the housing to even access the boards? I don't want to break it but it doesn't work even though I removed all screws from the back panel and even those on the bottom. It's flimsy plastic.
My red light is blinking 2 times, .Oddly everything is working fine except the Roku channels are missing?, Only my local antenna channels are available?
Have the 70 inch flat screen and it only has one button on the bottom of the tv and had this tv since 2020 perfect condition no scratches no nothing turn it on to watch RUclips flicks off and on then shits off and starts flashing
Good morning! These people that are making these TV are a Bunch of thieves. Consumer protection should look into this issue. The person in the video thinks that the consumers are technicians. Who has time to go through all that shit.
These are extremely basic home maintenance skills that everyone in the modern world should take the time to learn. This is right up there with replacing a sink faucet, changing the oil in a car, or replacing a ceiling light fixture. I get your frustration, but the video's creator is right to assume people can take of the TV case and at least inspect for visual damage or wiggle the cables to ensure proper connection.
I was watching dune, the tv was working flawless. Then I paused it for some mins and it entered in the usual screen saving mode, with default google pics and all that. Then after some time, the screen turned black (but still on) and so here am I... Don't wanna believe it fries itself doing nothing lmao.
is there any guide on what the flashes means? I've replaced the main board and tcon board and the same flash remains, backlight dont seem to be the issue since I dont get an image. The moment I plugged in the TV it flashes red light right away.
Probably a forced firmware download that you didn't know about whilst watching tv in the background, the firmware they force on your tv is probably not compatible with your tv. Apps...who'd have them! Same thing just happened with my tv hisence 2 years old, hope this helped.
So i have the 58inch we was mid show then green lines appeared then went away and like 1min later screen went black but show was still playing with sound. My Hi Sense lasted 4 years and 3 months. I paid $229 for it (47" 4k). People bashing a company for a cheap set not lasting? Big screen TVs used to cost $20,000 or more. People want everything to have a low price, so this is what manufacturers have produced. Now, they want it to be cheap and well-built. There's an old saying: "Be careful what you wish for."
Hisense is JUNK! TV just over a year old started to make a buzzing sound when the screen went black as in a fade out or a loading screen on a video game or the few seconds it takes for a you tube video to load. Week or so later. I tried to power it on and got flashing red light. Tried various resets and what not no luck. I tossed it and got myself a nice Samsung now. Very happy with my new TV. Hisense is just junk. Avoid buying their products.
