Basic equipment required is a multimeter and a LED backlight tester. Panel suction caps are also recommended for removing the panel, and LED Strips. All these parts and equipment are very affordable, and can be ordered from Amazon, Ebay or Aliexpress.
Another awesome opportunity to learn a thing or two☺️ please do you fix other gadgets too? Phones, laptops etc
I fix whatever I can find. Look out for other fixes. 😊
@@GidFix-pl3lg I surely will.😊 Thanks 👍
Thank you so much, you have been very helpful.
I'm so glad!
I have a 55 inch with flashing light and you can barely see the Hisense cycle in the background....How much do the strips cost and where can I get them?....I do have the suction cups already but might look for a tester if you have a recommended source for that as well ?....What does a tester run cost wise ?...Thank you for the great video !
Hi, i got the backlight from ebay for about $25. It may be lesser for a 55" tv. I would recommend you get one of your backlight strips and order using the part number. I just went ahead and ordered using the model number (not recommended though). You could get it from Aliexpress also for much cheaper. I find that the same sellers on Aliexpress are the ones on Ebay with higher pricing but faster shipping. But Aliexpress is also doing very well with shipping these days.
I got the LED tester from Aliexpress for about $15. There are several of them on amazon as well with a slightly higher price. If you are not using for professional purposes, i would recommend getting a basic one for your job. Amazon is usually faster with shipping but if not really in a hurry, get it from Aliexpress for less and save. That LED tester is a great tool to have for the job. Hope this helps.
How do u line up the new back lights after u remove the old ones . from east coast Canada good job thank you
👍 nice❤❤
Hello sir, when you tested the leds on minute 1:51 was the tv plugged in?
Hi, No the tv was not plugged in. The LED tester generates its own voltage to test the backlight. However if you want to test the power for the LED on the power board, the tv has to be plugged in. In that case, a multimeter will be needed.
how can i put the 3 filters in the same order to 75" tv
Hi, i would suggest you get a partner to help you. Also get a bigger work area and lift all the filters together at the same time to maintain the order. You will need very good suction cups for the led panel, with lots of care.
Good job you
Thank you.
i have black screen for ChiQ u75 g8 and i like to change all LED strip ca i use any led strip as the same size foe any TV
No please. You have to buy according to the model number or part number. I will suggest you disassemble the tv and remove one of the led strips to check the part number.
How do u line up new lights
Did you mean lining up new led strips to the TV or lining up individual led lights on a strip for soldering?
Basically, it depends on the tv. You can look at the old led strip and see how they align before you take them off. Usually, I leave one of the old strips for my reference, and after I have lined up and connected at least two new strips, I take the last strip off. Just watch out for groove marks and screw holes that align with the led strip. Hope it helps.
In my TV, I replaced the back lights with new strips. But they do not light. Standby is working good. What could be the problem brother? Any help pls?
Sorry for the late response. Did you test the new backlights before replacing them? Also, what happens now when you switch it on? Is it still blinking standby or you have image which is dark? Use a flashlight to check.
