My backlight just went a couple of days ago for this exact model. I just ordered the backlight on Amazon. Decided, imma give it a shot. Thanks for sharing. It's greatly appreciated. Just a follow-up, thanks to this video, I actually fixed the tv by following the instructions of this video. It wasn't hard at all, so thanks again for sharing.
Exact model backlight just went out today, after watching your video, I just bought a new one, I love fixing most things but I'm sure I would have just broken something and wasted more time. Thanks for the video it really informed me that I didn't want to fix it.
Today my backlight went out on the same exactly model TV. I noticed you just posted this video, great timing! I already ordered the backlights from ebay and a LED tester.
The lights have been replaced with success! What I did with the screen is take the whole tv to the wall and tilted it up, then leaning the screen against the wall.
Update on my TV. A few days after replacing the lights, I had one burn out, this time only causing one side of the tv to go dark. I think I damaged it with the LED tester by accidentally connecting it in reverse polarity. I replaced all the lights again and shortly after the whole screen went dark. The lights tested good, so I assumed something happened with the power supply. I found 2 schottky diodes failed causing a short. I replaced those and it's working again. Not sure if it's a common issue, the diodes that failed are 2 of 4 near the LED connector "HBR10200S".

Nice repair. These bigger panels make me cringe but you've got a technique that works for you. It's the high risk part of the job. Once you've cracked a panel you respect how very delicate & unforgiving they are.
Yeah just let the customer know that there is a risk I had good success in them so far no cracked screen plus the customer had no option as other repair shops said no fix for the tv. I have a 85 Samsung bad backlight just waiting for the customer ok to do a vid about it in the same process
@@SOSfixElectronics So you tell them you are not responsible if the screen cracks? But you have to be a little nervous when you handle those larger panels, no?
@@electronicrepairservice2020 yes i do tell them about the risk and if any thing happened during the repair process not responsible for it, from the beginning i made a plan how to remove the screen and where to put it and i clear everything may cause a problem and i give it all my attention and works slow, of course a little much nervous.
have a 65R6E3 that is similar - but there are no screws on the back to remove the metal back. any suggestions ? seems like the display screen is glued to the black plastic bezel
Thanks for sharing this! I replaced mine yesterday. When there is a single color on most of the screen, you can slightly see where the LEDs are. There are some darker rings around the LEDs that make them stand out. Is that pretty common or did I get some poor quality LEDs?
I meannn, I have the 75R6E1 model. But, I'm assuming it's gunna be the exact same procedure, correct? I'm almost positive that the only difference between this model and the 75R6E1 is just the size of the TV, correct?
So I just replaced all the led back light strips in my 75 inch led lcd Hisense tv. I had the white flash then black screen with audio. After replacing them I now have a bright white screen with 2 thin black lines running down the screen with audio. Not sure where I went wrong lol. Any help?
Order led strips for my roku hisense 65 few days ago my TV dark half side and goes completely dark when I load a streaming video like RUclips Netflix I always have to turn off power and turn back on to get back to the half dark screen
That white paper you pulled off and taped parts that got torn. Is that important? My 75R6E1 just went out on us tonight with this exact issue. I was going to replace it but if i can find the LED's and I shouldn't have any issues replacing them myself. Just wondering about that white paper.
If the left half of my screen has a black tint to it could the backlight be the problem, thanks for posting this video, watching so I can hopefully repair mine, its only 2 years old unfortunately.

good luck, be extremally careful when you remove the screen, it is very fragile
