Hillbillies were more likely to say, hold my beer and watch this. While rednecks were usually more reserved. Both grew to cover more than just farmers and hill folk. Hillbilly, for example became synonymous with rural living. I simply stated a fact on the origins of the term redneck. And the fact that the two terms have been morphed into a single meaning.
For the record, I was a hardworking short-haired young man. Fortunately for me, after the initial burn, the sun just made my skin darker and my dark brown hair, nearly blonde. Then switched to truck driving for 39 years. Now I look like a late 60's era long haired Jesus freak, with a beard to match. Or a stereotypical hillbilly.
Bubba John is a name that comes to mind. Your pretty accurate with all this though. I'm a redneck(im more of a country boy though)that gave up hunting a long time ago and I stick with fishing the rivers these days. Don't keep anything anymore but we catch a lot. The older I got the less I wanted to kill anything. As I get older life is mote precious and not just mine. Rednecks are also smart. Can fix almost anything buy it may not be by the book. I fix cars and it takes some smarts figuring it all out. Maybe that should be your next vid. The difference between country boys and rednecks
