Untill I realized that I was still the boy that helped his dad drive our herd of cows to winter pastor in a blizzard. I was so cold I was crying and the tears froze to my face. My dad told me to give him my house, and ride in the truck . I refused to give up my mount untill the job was done. By the time we finished I had almost froze. My old man asked me why I did that. I barely lived through breast cancer and Lupus attacked my heart and I had a heart attack just months ago. I miss so much of my kids and grandchildren that it hurts but there’s no cure so I take chemo shots every week along with 20 some other meds just to function so when I hear able bodied people bitch about their lives I want to scream and tell them that they need to be grateful because they couldn’t live a day in my shoes!!! One day I hope I get to reach that level of freedom because right now being a 21 year old college student don't see a lot of alternatives or options in what to do in life. Still trying to figure out what I want to do and what my end goal is. I may have been raised in the city my entire life, but I sure love the open countryside where it's peaceful.
