@CPthetooladdict indeed, but you can go ahead and pre-order from lots of places, milwaukeetool has about 7 or 8 listed on the link from their website, acme, toolup(where I ordered mine), depot, cpo, grainger, etc..
@@CPthetooladdictNot for the shills they not 😂 but no actually I know it might have more power than the Gen 1️⃣ but idk about 550 but yet again a lot of these companies may stretch the truth just a bit beyond believable but I always say “ I have to see it to believe it” (But in my hand actually testing it)
Love the content. I am a milwuakee guy. I think 550 is a stretch but torque test channel will show us a decent amount of what we should expect. But in stubby air will always be better
Considering how Milwaukee and Dewalt seem to have been in a race to upend the laws of physics, I’m reserving judgement until torque test channel gets ahold of one
I have the old 3/8 stubby and I like it for a lot of assembly work where I don't need or want more power, if i need more power i always have the high torque sitting on the bench anyway
Never CP! It’s a great little tool along with the 1/4” fuel that’s built on the driver frame. I’ve had my M12 Fuel 3/8 for years now and it made sense for motorcycles, small engine stuff and just about anything up to 7/16 or 11mm. My guess would be 250 ftlbs with a good charged battery. The Ridgid 18v Subcompact came along later and after very few updates has surpassed the M12 fuel with a smaller motor. Trade off is you have to lug around big ol Batteries. I find it odd that the Orange tools share Milwaukees 18v brushless motor and anvil design but the 18v Subcompact motor only shows up in orange clothes.
I hardly ever use battery tools but I do I got all m12 1/4 I fully switched to battery but I don’t see my buying one because my old m12 3/8 fuel stubby still works and it does what I need it to but until it can’t be fixed I’m not buying a new one and I love that little bastard
That’s why I didn’t keep the first stubby. I was disappointed in its performance. Mine at least couldn’t touch a lug just torqued to 160#, I don’t know if that was just how mine was but imo it want near 250 it claimed. I might give this new one a try.
In fairness CP, the Dewalt DCF 923 doesn't actually do the advertised 450 either. Don't get me wrong. It is still a little beast but 450? Yeah, no. The real issue is how all these manufacturers just seem to make up numbers to try and get us to buy the latest and greatest.
Absolutely agree 100%, and I want to be transparent. No manufacturer in history has ever met the torque they claim. We surely can agree on this as a fact!!
@CPthetooladdict I will say this though. That little Dewalt 20V 3" cutoff tool is absolutely the real deal. Especially with the PS battery. I actually gave the M12 version to my son. The difference is phenomenal. Used the Dewalt to cut a large rust area out of a pickup box the other day. Battery lost 1 bar. No stalling, no cutting out.
The manufacturer make up those numbers because they know that 90% of the guys that buy their tools have brains the size of a pea. Guys see something new, big numbers, $500 price tag, they look at it and say duhhh my name is Egor, me buy. 😂😂😂
I don't listen or watch anyone who is sponsored by Milwaukee they are paid spokesmen. I will definitely be looking forward to torque test channels results. That's all I need to confirm my opinions.
I have the old one and i have broke 2 Snap-on impact sockets with it but i don't believe it can make 550 ft.lb. its like the cheap speakers that say 1000 watts and you would blow them up with a 50 watt amp
The m12 3/8 2554 was only rated at 250, so I find that hard to believe, especially when the Torque test channel showed it, making a max Torque of 233 you sure your talking about the same tool?
I recall watching one of the videos and the Milwaukee rep said 550 ft-lbs of breakaway torque. My guestimation is torque test channel will get it to read 350-380 foot lbs
If it actually makes 550 then thats a game changer. It would be nice to have a smaller form factor impact that can hit above it weight class. We will jusy have to wait and see
Ya, but we all know every manufacturer lies about the real torque, so let's be real. Half of the claim wouldn't be good, but realistic numbers to be worth buying would have to be above 300. Right?
Exactly, an improvement but not what they claim they need to be more realistic just goes to show you how bad marketing is that they will fudge the numbers when they could be honest and when more sales are IMO.
Exactly! And they definitely trick people who don't do their research kinda sad when you think about it. Americans are bamboozled people, and China is also who can we trust?
