Cillian Murphy’s performance is transformative. Carries a 3 hour movie! No way is the lovely Giamatti performance going to top his. Just an amazing feat for Murphy.

You are nobody to tell that they call themselves Experts, just because they don’t choose your favourite… Just because Nolan and Oppenheimer is your favourite, doesn’t mean that it’s the best for everyone else… Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, stop being so intolerant…
@@Lord_Jim So is The Zone Of Interest or Poor Things or Killers Of The Flower Moon or Barbie… Oppenheimer isn’t the only cinematic achievement this year… Nobody stopped you from disagreeing with their opinion, the point is the intolerance of Oppenheimer fanboys to get offended whenever someone chooses other movie over Oppenheimer… Also, if I don’t like OP’s opinion, I can call him out… So, curb your hypocrisy and intolerance…
Am I the only one who really did not enjoy Zone of Interest? Like I understand the brilliance for sure but I thought the photo negative sequences felt forced and unnecessary, and don’t think the whole “setting up cameras around the house and having them all be stagnant shots” thing is as impressive as it is practical for making a film like this. Idk I wanted to be blown away and shook to my core and instead I just felt a little disappointed after all the hype
Waaaay overrated to me. It could’ve been more powerful as a short film without all the extra nonsense trying to show off. Or forget the whole thing. It’s so far from the source material.
While I bear no ill-feeling towards Paul Giamatti, I am quite surprised both by his nomination, and that of The Holdovers for Best Picture. This, to me, is a classic example of a desire to honour Giamatti's body of work through the years - a worthy sentiment, but one which should really be acknowledged by means of the occasional Lifetime Achievement Oscars, and not used to deprive Cillian Murphy's singular performance in Oppenheimer of the honour. The Holdovers is a decent enough film, but my overall reaction to Giamatti’s performance was that it was a typical example of Giamatti being Giametti, and that the performance did not stretch his abilities to any great extent.
holy shit I think I've never disagreed so much with a video, the zone of interest? fell asleep 3 times, one of the worst movies I've ever seen, and best director? yeah let's shoot some still, pretentious shots, put some screaming in the back and there we are! film bros are so dumb bro
The slate is overrated this year. I liked 3 out of the 9 best picture nominees I saw. Not the best since 2019. 2021 is the last good Oscar year. I hope this year is better than the last two. It is off to a good start with Argylle. Hoping for a good 2024 movie year.
In which world can someone put Ryan Gosling over Robert Downey Jr.? There are dimensions between them. Ryan Goslings performance is not even oscar worthy sorry
I truly mean this with the most respect possible, thank god y’all aren’t voters😂Some very interesting picks though and I’d be interested in more crossovers from y’all!
Lily Gladstone is my pick for actress but definitely wouldn't be mad at Sandra huller winning. That would be so cool. Though I kind of wish she could win for the zone of interest because I think about that performance everyday. The embodiment of evil. She has such range. What a year for her.

I kinda agree, it got ‘gimmicky’ after a while, as weird as that sounds to say
I hope you are Kyle 😂 but I get it
Waaaay overrated to me.
👏👏👏👏👏 Perfect comment. If the Academy votes Giamatti BA over Murphy I will tear my hair out.
@@mgariepy42 I might have emulated you, but I can’t afford to lose any more hair!

"If i were an Oscar voter" thank god yall arent.
holy shit I think I've never disagreed so much with a video, the zone of interest? fell asleep 3 times, one of the worst movies I've ever seen, and best director? yeah let's shoot some still, pretentious shots, put some screaming in the back and there we are! film bros are so dumb bro
Common Sandra hüller W
The slate is overrated this year. I liked 3 out of the 9 best picture nominees I saw. Not the best since 2019. 2021 is the last good Oscar year. I hope this year is better than the last two. It is off to a good start with Argylle. Hoping for a good 2024 movie year.
Satire?
@@RS-qc4tg No, I am serious.
Lmao you have a shit Oscars opinion if you think Argylle is any good
@tonygeckler76 Which 3?
@@seankoontz4235 Poor Things, The Holdovers and Anatomy of a Fall.
In which world can someone put Ryan Gosling over Robert Downey Jr.? There are dimensions between them. Ryan Goslings performance is not even oscar worthy sorry
I have never disagreed more with film RUclipsrs than these two bozos, good lord so they and I see film so differently.
I am cheering for Cillian. I really hope he wins.
I truly mean this with the most respect possible, thank god y’all aren’t voters😂Some very interesting picks though and I’d be interested in more crossovers from y’all!
More collabs!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yessss the collab we needed!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Oscars bros being too filmbro choosing Zone. Cmon… be honest
Lily Gladstone is my pick for actress but definitely wouldn't be mad at Sandra huller winning. That would be so cool. Though I kind of wish she could win for the zone of interest because I think about that performance everyday. The embodiment of evil. She has such range. What a year for her.
I would be the perfect Oscar voter cuz I didn’t watch any of these movies.
‘I’m Just Ken’ is going to win
