I remember buying two tickets to see one of his shows in the North of England. They were for my Mum Dad as a treat. Long story short, Mam and Dad argued and didn't go out. Me and a mate used the tickets, great show. Rang Mam the following day told her it was great etc and that he was appearing in Sunderland later tonight. Ordered by Mother, in a way only a mother can order a 6'2 18 stone guy to make myself available that night. 20 mins later she rang me to say we were going to Sunderland that night. You can guess for yourself who won the debate. 😂🤣😂. Wish they were both still around!

he was a household name in the UK he sold out time and time again all the years he toured just because he didnt crack the USA (did he actually want to?) does not take away all the acclaim he had at home.

Joe, is without a doubt the best male vocalist This country, has ever produced, I come from a travelling family, that they moved to brick, When my nanny married a gorger, But we kept the travellers values, I’m proud of my family, I’m proud, that we can all do good in our life, My mum, became great friend’s with Joe and J, we were invited to Visit, and have afternoon tea at his home, ( which would of been a privilege) Unfortunately mummy became very I’ll, and couldn’t do the long drive, Also Joe had some health issues to deal with, my mum couldn’t Fight like Joe did, I asked if Joe could sing, at my mum’s service, But he also was dealing with heath issues, Joe is, and was so so kind, did so much for charity, ( no one knows ) Because he did it from his heart, not for publicity, I am honoured, that I knew him vaguely, but I was there for his 60th And he was in my company on my 50th, God Bless the great……… they truly leave a legacy, He left an impossible one to follow, but he still sung at my mums service, via cd SAY IT WITH FLOWER’S, Herat of 💛 bless him, truly truly missed 🌟 xxx
